ks that suit their interests and preferences, as is the case with children in orphanages. As a response, this community service plays a part in increasing children’s interest in reading. The program we proposed, namely Reading Corner, took place at Imanuel Orphanage in Palangka. The program was carried out by assessing the needs, designing the Reading Corner, and implementing it. Reading Corner serves as a facility for extensive reading at home. Reading Corner allows the children to read various types of books based on their preferences. The result of this program indicated that the children looked enthusiastic about the books as they chose and borrowed the book to read. The closer children are to the books, the more often they will use their time to access and read the books. In line with that, it is expected that the literacy level of Indonesian will increase.

Mengembangkan budaya membaca merupakan bentuk dari penyelenggaraan pendidikan, maka dari itu budaya membaca harus ditanamkan sejak dini pada anak. Namun, tidak semua anak dapat merasakan fasilitas seperti membaca aneka jenis buku bacaan yang sesuai minatnya, seperti halnya anak-anak di panti asuhan. Maka dari itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca pada anak di Panti Asuhan Imanuel Palangka Raya. Program yang dilaksanakan adalah dengan menyediakan fasilitas Reading Corner atau pojok baca. Adapun tahapan kegiatan mencakup pendataan kebutuhan, perancangan, dan pelaksanaan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menghadirkan Reading Corner di panti asuhan guna memberikan akses kepada anak-anak untuk membaca aneka jenis buku yang menarik dan sesuai dengan minat mereka. Respon anak-anak terhadap Reading Corner sangat positif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasme mereka dalam memilih dan meminjam buku bacaan. Diharapakan, semakin dekat anak dengan buku-buku bacaan, maka mereka akan lebih sering menggunakan waktunya untuk mengakses dan membaca buku-buku tersebut. Sejalan dengan itu, kami mengharapkan agar tingkat literasi anak-anak Indonesia semakin meningkat.

S1 Nutrition Study Program STIK Sint Carolus together with Nutritionists from the Galur Supporting Community Health Center provided counseling to mothers of toddlers on the topic "Let's Check the Coins (Composition and Nutritional Value Information) on Food Packaging" to 20 mothers of toddlers who visited the Posyandu. Counseling participants are given an identity and pretest form to fill out. The first session included material on definitions and food labels, and the second session provided material on how to read composition and nutritional value information. The third session involved practicing reading packaged food and conducting questions and answers and filling in the posttest form. After 3 days of providing material, monitoring and evaluation was carried out via Whatsapp. Based on the results of statistical analysis, 55% of mothers were classified as lacking knowledge during the pretest. However, it increased after nutrition education was carried out to 95% of mothers who were classified as well informed. The results of the Wilcoxon analysis show that there is a difference in knowledge between before and after counseling with p-value = 0.007. The results of monitoring and evaluation from 5 mothers, 100% of mothers had paid attention to food labels on packaging, especially composition and nutritional information. There has been a change in practice in reading food labels.

It is hoped that the literacy movement that has been implemented in schools can help students improve their literacy skills. However, on the contrary, this movement has not been carried out optimally so that literacy skills are still low. Students' literacy skills are low because students' interest in reading is also low. Therefore, teachers in this case should have creativity in accompanying the implementation of school literacy movement activities. One way to increase students' reading comprehension is by implementing a reading challenge method. In this method, students will be invited to go to the reading corner or library to read books they like. The teacher here supervises or monitors students who are reading. Then, 15 minutes before the lesson starts, students report to the teacher the books they have read. For students who read the most, for example in one month, that student is given a reward. Through this activity, it is hoped that students at the school will be able to increase their interest in reading.

Abstrak: Desa ini terkenal dengan Desa Kampung Pancasila. Namun yang menjadi permasalahan di Desa ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesadaran tentang betapa pentingnya pendidikan di masa depan. Hal ini disebabkan karena padatnya aktivitas orang tua sehari penuh dan setiba di rumah sudah kelelahan membuat kurangnya perhatian terhadap anaknya sehingga terkadang meminta anaknya untuk bekerja bersama mencari penghasilan tambahan keluarga. Maka untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, Tim pengabdi PPK Ormawa UNA menyediakan layanan pengetahuan serta informasi pada pembelajaran non-formal berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat berbentuk buku ataupun non- buku yang ada di pojok- pojok literasi, yang dilengkapi dengan perangkat teknologi informasi, menyediakan layanan informasi dari sumber akses informasi kepada masyarakat yang berkaitan dengan 6 literasi dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah melakukan survei awal, mengidentifikasi potensi daerah dan masalah, menganalisis kebutuhan masyarakat, pembentukan program bersama masyarakat, menetapkan khalayak sasaran, merumuskan indikator keberhasilan program, melaksanakan program, mensosialisasikan dan mempublikasi kepada masyarakat, menyediakan bahan pustaka dan pojok literasi dan mengadakan perlengkapan fasilitas layanan pendidikan non-formal. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menghasilkan 9 pojok literasi di Desa Air Genting yang mengembangkan pembelajaran non-formal berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat serta beroperasinya pojok-pojok literasi dengan program dan kepengurusan yang berbeda-beda.

tners and the farmers they support still lack experience in sorghum farming, especially in profit analysis. This is an obstacle in spreading sorghum as an agricultural potential, because extension workers have difficulty providing farmers with an understanding of the benefits of sorghum farming. Therefore, knowledge is needed in carrying out farming analysis, as well as organizing human resources in farmer groups so that they can produce maximum quality and quantity. Through this knowledge and ability, it is hoped that partners can further optimize the dissemination of sorghum farming to the farmers they support so that they can produce sustainably. The methods used in this service activity are training and mentoring. For training activities, farming business analysis and farmer group management were carried out for one day, where the implementing team facilitated training to partners, namely BPP East Suwawa. After the training activities, students in the implementing team provided regular assistance for two weeks to optimize the results obtained in the training. The results of the activity showed that the activity participants were very enthusiastic during the mentoring activity, and gave positive responses, so that activities like this could be routine, especially in assisting with sorghum farming analysis.

This study aims to describe community participation in the implementation of the Green Open Space Reforestation (RTH) program in Gunung Anyar, Gunung Anyar Village, Surabaya City and the obstacles faced. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach where data collection is done by observation, in-depth interviews with informants, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that there is a community called Griyo Maos. Griyo Maos is a community that is active in social activities such as establishing a free reading park and contributing to the maintenance of Green Open Space in the Gunung Mud Volcano area in Gunung Anyar, Surabaya. The Griyo Maos community has made a major contribution to caring for and protecting the environment in the Gunung Anyar mud volcano area. In this study, there were 3 stages that were passed, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Based on these 3 stages, the participation of the community represented by Griyo Maos is considered to have contributed optimally to the implementation of the Green Open Space Reforestation program, while the surrounding community is still less contributing to these activities.

Abstrak: Reboisasi yaitu penghijauan kembali hutan yang sudah gundul atau tandus yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan hidup. Reboisasi ini dilaksanakan pada wilayah Mud Volcano kelurahan Gunung Anyar Surabaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pelaksanaan program Reboisasi Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) di Gunung Anyar, Kelurahan Gunung Anyar, Kota Surabaya dan kendala yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan informan, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sebuah komunitas yang bernama Griyo Maos. Griyo Maos merupakan suatu komunitas yang aktif dalam kegiatan sosial seperti mendirikan taman baca secara gratis dan berkontribusi dalam pemeliharaan Ruang Terbuka Hijau di kawasan Gunung Mud Volcano yang berada di Gunung Anyar, Surabaya. Komunitas Griyo Maos ini memiliki kontribusi besar untuk merawat dan menjaga lingkungan di kawasan mud volcano Gunung Anyar tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 3 tahapan yang dilalui yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan juga evaluasi. Berdasarkan 3 tahapan tersebut maka partisipasi masyarakat yang di representasikan oleh Griyo Maos dinilai telah berkontribusi secara optimal dalam pelaksanaan program Reboisasi Ruang Terbuka Hijau, sementara itu masyarakat sekitar masih kurang berkontribusi dalam kegiatan tersebut.

Menurunnya minat membaca di kalangan generasi milenial disebabkan oleh antara lain teralihnya perhatian dan luang waktu anak muda pada kegiatan media sosial. Selain itu, untuk memperoleh informasi yang mereka butuhkan, mereka bisa mendapatkan secara instan hanya dengan melalui telepon genggam. Melihat keadaan yang memprihatikan ini, maka upaya menstimulasi edukasi literasi harus ditanamkan sejak usia dini. Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan minat baca dengan sasaran siswa PAUD Bunda Hajar Dusun Sukanegla Desa Hegarmanah Jatinangor Kabupaten Sumedang. Agar menarik, penyampaian penyuluhan dan kegiatan edukasi dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode mendongeng. Hasil yang diperoleh, anak-anak lebih tertarik mendengarkan, mampu bertahan menyimak dan dapat menjawab pertanyaan seputar dongeng yang disampaikan.

a specific university but utilizes the publicly available Students Performance in Exams dataset from Kaggle, consisting of 1,000 student records containing mathematics, reading, and writing scores, along with demographic attributes such as gender, parental education level, lunch type, and test preparation participation. The data were processed through a feature engineering stage by adding an average score variable as an early indicator of graduation status. A predictive model was developed using the Random Forest Classifier, achieving an accuracy of 94.5%. The final model was integrated into a Streamlit-based web application to provide an accessible tool for academic stakeholders. The results indicate that the proposed model can serve as an effective decision-support tool for early evaluation of students’ likelihood of graduation.

Abstrak: Pendidikan tinggi memegang peran penting dalam peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia, salah satunya melalui kemampuan institusi dalam memantau dan memprediksi tingkat kelulusan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini tidak berfokus pada perguruan tinggi tertentu, melainkan menggunakan dataset publik Students Performance in Exams dari Kaggle yang berisi 1.000 data mahasiswa, terdiri atas nilai matematika, membaca, menulis, serta atribut demografis seperti gender, tingkat pendidikan orang tua, jenis makan siang, dan partisipasi kursus persiapan. Data diolah melalui tahap feature engineering dengan menambahkan variabel average score sebagai indikator awal kelulusan. Model prediksi dibangun menggunakan algoritma Random Forest Classifier, yang menghasilkan tingkat akurasi sebesar 94,5%. Model ini kemudian diimplementasikan ke dalam aplikasi web berbasis Streamlit untuk memberikan layanan prediksi yang mudah diakses oleh pihak akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model mampu digunakan sebagai alat pendukung keputusan untuk melakukan evaluasi dini terhadap potensi kelulusan mahasiswa.

industries use two motors that work alternately. Both electric motors function as running and standby which are generally controlled manually by the operator or using a time delay relay (TDR). However, the control of both motors by the operator is not effective because it allows human error to occur. The use of TDR is also ineffective because it does not make the temperature of the electric motor a reference in controlling the work of the two electric motors. This research aims to produce a prototype that can monitor the temperature of the electric motor in real-time and control the electric motor based on the temperature of the electric motor. The Wemos D1R2 is used as a processor to control both electric motors and transmit the temperature of the electric motor to a smartphone via the internet. The MLX90614 sensor is used as an infrared-based temperature sensor. Based on the results of testing the overall performance of the prototype, it is known that the temperature readings of the electric motor are quite accurate with mean error and standard deviation of 0.13oC and 0.15oC, respectively. The prototype is also capable of controlling both electric motors automatically and controlling a cooler via a smartphone.

Abstrak: Penggunaan sebuah motor listrik secara terus menerus pada sebagian industri menyebabkan motor listrik tersebut mengalami kerusakan lebih awal. Kerusakan tersebut umumnya disebabkan oleh panas berlebih. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi masalah panas berlebih tersebut maka sebagian besar industri menggunakan dua buah motor yang bekerja secara bergantian. Kedua motor listrik tersebut difungsikan sebagai running dan standby yang mana umumnya dikendalikan secara manual oleh operator atau menggunakan time delay relay (TDR). Namun, pengendalian kedua motor oleh operator tidaklah efektif karena memungkinkan terjadinya human error. Penggunaan TDR juga tidak efektif karena tidak menjadikan suhu motor listrik sebagai acuan dalam mengendalikan kerja kedua motor listrik tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan sebuah prototipe yang mampu mengawasi suhu motor listrik secara real-time dan mengendalikan motor listrik berdasarkan suhu motor listrik. Wemos D1R2 digunakan sebagai prosesor untuk mengendalikan kedua motor listrik dan mengirimkan suhu motor listrik ke smartphone melalui internet. Sensor MLX90614 digunakan sebagai sensor suhu berbasis infra merah. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian kinerja prototipe secara keseluruhan diketahui bahwa hasil pembacaan suhu motor listrik cukup akurat dengan mean error dan standar deviasi masing-masing 0,13oC dan 0,15oC. Prototipe juga mampu mengontrol kedua motor listrik secara otomatis dan mengontrol sebuah pendingin melalui smartphone.
