Development Of A Non-Intrusive RFID Elevator Access Control System For Residential Buildings

Abstract: This study developed and evaluated a standalone, non-intrusive radio frequency identification (RFID)-based elevator access control system for a four-story residential building. The system used an Arduino Uno, an MFRC522… RFID reader, and relay interfaces to regulate access to Floors 2, 3, and 4. Authorized card identifiers and floor permissions were stored locally, enabling offline operation without an external database or network connection. The relays interfaced only with the elevator push-button circuits and did not modify the original controller, motor drive, door mechanism, or safety system. Performance was evaluated using 47 registered cards and three unregistered cards, with each card tested 50 times, producing 2,500 authentication trials. Under the tested conditions, all registered cards were correctly authenticated according to their assigned floor permissions, while all unregistered cards were rejected. The system achieved 100% authentication accuracy, 100% correct relay activation, and 100% unauthorized-card rejection. Stable card detection was obtained at distances of up to approximately 1 cm. The first-floor button remained independent of the RFID module to preserve minimum accessibility during module failure. The proposed system provides a practical and low-cost retrofit solution for floor-specific elevator access control in small residential buildings.

Implementation Of The Advanced Encryption Standard-128 Algorithm And Huffman Compression To Protect Student Grade Data

Abstract: Student grade data is personal data that must be protected under Indonesian Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, yet the rising number of data breaches in the education sector shows that such protection has… not been optimally implemented. This study implements the 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm combined with Huffman compression to protect the confidentiality and integrity of student grade files in Excel (.xlsx) format, and evaluates its effectiveness through functional, performance, and security testing. The system was developed as a Python desktop application with a CustomTkinter interface, in which the encryption process runs Huffman compression before AES-128, while integrity verification uses SHA-256 hashing. Testing was conducted on seven student grade files from MA Ma'ahid Kudus. The results show that all files were successfully encrypted and decrypted without failure or data alteration, with encryption times of 0.0142-0.0828 seconds and decryption times of 0.0046-0.1417 seconds. The SHA-256 hash values of the original and decrypted files were identical for all samples, yielding 100% recovery accuracy, while the file size increase from padding and header insertion ranged only from 1,092 to 1,101 bytes. The study concludes that the combination of AES-128 and Huffman compression is an effective and efficient solution for protecting student grade data in educational institutions.

Perceptions and Experiences of Beginner Investors In Making Investment Decisions in The Digital Era: A Qualitative Study of Investment Application Users

Abstract: The rapid development of digital financial technology has significantly transformed investment activities by providing easier access to financial markets through digital investment applications. This study aims to explore… e the perceptions and experiences of beginner investors in making investment decisions in the digital era. Using a qualitative research approach with a phenomenological perspective, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with beginner investors who actively use digital investment applications. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and themes related to investors’ experiences and decision-making processes. The findings reveal that investment decision-making among beginner investors is influenced by several interconnected factors, including the accessibility and usability of digital investment platforms, the influence of social media and online communities, the development of financial literacy, and psychological experiences related to investment gains and losses. Digital investment applications play a crucial role in lowering barriers to market participation by providing user-friendly interfaces and accessible financial information. However, reliance on social media as a source of investment information may also expose investors to misinformation and speculative investment behavior. In addition, emotional responses such as confidence, fear, and uncertainty often influence investment decisions among beginner investors. Overall, the study highlights that investment decision-making in the digital era is a multidimensional process shaped by technological accessibility, social influence, financial knowledge, and psychological factors. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of investor behavior in digital financial environments and emphasize the importance of financial education and responsible investment practices.

PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN DESAIN UI/UX BAGI SANTRI PONDOK PESANTREN AL MUMTAZ DALAM PENGEMBANGAN WEBSITE DAN SISTEM INFORMASI

Abstract: Pelatihan desain UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) di Pondok Pesantren Terpadu Al Mumtaz bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan peserta, terutama santri dan mahasiswa Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta, dalam… merancang antarmuka pengguna yang efektif dan responsif. Workshop ini diselenggarakan sebagai bagian dari program pengabdian masyarakat untuk mendukung pengembangan website dan sistem informasi berbasis digital di lingkungan pesantren. Kegiatan pelatihan ini terdiri dari pengenalan konsep dasar UI/UX, praktik pembuatan wireframe, dan evaluasi desain aplikasi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pesantren. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap prinsip-prinsip desain antarmuka pengguna, meskipun tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah dalam menerjemahkan teori ke dalam desain yang lebih kompleks dan interaktif. Evaluasi terhadap desain yang dihasilkan menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam hal interaktivitas dan fungsionalitas untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna. Sebagai tindak lanjut, disarankan untuk melakukan pelatihan lanjutan guna memperdalam keterampilan peserta dalam merancang aplikasi digital yang lebih canggih dan responsif. Workshop ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap digitalisasi Pondok Pesantren Al Mumtaz dan diharapkan dapat terus berlanjut dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan dan layanan pesantren berbasis teknologi.

PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI COREl DRAW SEBAGAI MEDIA EDITING DIKALANGAN MAHASISWA

Abstract: This socialization activity aimed to introduce the use of CorelDRAW as a graphic editing tool among university students. CorelDRAW was chosen because it is easy to use, flexible, and supports various design needs such as… logo creation, posters, flyers, and visual illustrations. The activity was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory method, where students not only received material but also practiced directly. The program involved 12 students and took place at Universitas Pangeran Antasari. The results showed that most participants understood the material well, particularly in recognizing the interface and basic vector drawing techniques. This activity proved to be helpful in improving students' communicative visual design skills to support both academic and organizational purposes.

FACTORS INFLUENCING THE ATTITUDES AND DECISIONS OF LOWER CLASS COMMUNITIES IN USING ISLAMIC BANK MOBILE BANKING

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the attitudes and decisions of lower-class communities in adopting Islamic bank mobile banking services, with a specific focus on the BSI Mobile application. The research… h applies the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) developed by Davis (1989), emphasizing two key constructs—perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness—as determinants of users’ attitudes and decisions. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 lower-class customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Sibuhuan. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that perceived usefulness significantly affects both attitude and decision to use, while perceived ease of use influences attitude indirectly. The R² value for attitude (0.743) and decision (0.654) shows that the model has strong explanatory power. These findings reveal that lower-income customers are more motivated by perceived benefits, such as convenience, time efficiency, and transaction security, rather than interface simplicity. From a practical perspective, the study suggests that Islamic banks should strengthen digital literacy, user assistance, and customer trust to enhance mobile banking adoption among lower-class communities.

A Research and Development (R&D) methodology was used for this study. An R&D methodology is a set of activities or procedures that are used to make a new product or improve a current product so that it will persist in the future. The ADDIE development approach was used for the study, which combines the research and development (R&D) stages. To make learning plans for things, the ADDIE method is used. ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. What the study found the goal of making Android-based engaging learning materials for class VII Informatics topics at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak City is to give students an interesting and useful way to learn. The Android operating system is based on a Graphical User Interface (GUI), which makes it easy for students to see how the system works on the outside. This makes using Android smartphones as teaching tools very helpful. Additionally, the portability and wide availability of Android tablets make it easy for students to access educational materials without being limited by time or space. The goal of making engaging learning materials about informatics for high school students in the seventh grade at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak City is to make learning fun and useful. The Android operating system is based on a Graphical User Interface (GUI), which makes it easy for students to see how the system works on the outside. This makes using Android smartphones as teaching tools very helpful.

Penerapan Computer Vision Menggunakan Model Yolov8 Untuk Monitoring Kepadatan Pengunjung Ruang Rawat Inap Di Rumah Sakit

Abstract: Abstract: Hospitals, as healthcare facilities, have a high level of visitor mobility, particularly in inpatient wards. Therefore, visitor control is necessary to maintain patient comfort, safety, and service quality. Manual… ual visitor monitoring is considered ineffective and prone to errors. Therefore, this study aims to design and implement an artificial intelligence-based visitor monitoring system for hospital inpatient wards using computer vision technology. The developed system utilizes the YOLOv8 model as an object detection algorithm to automatically detect and count visitors through a camera. Visitor information is displayed through a desktop-based monitoring interface and is equipped with warning notifications via the Telegram application and an automatic alarm if the number of visitors exceeds the limit set by hospital policy. Test results show that the system is capable of performing well in detecting and counting visitors in real time, as well as sending information and warnings responsively. Thus, this system is considered effective as a technology-based hospital management support solution in controlling inpatient ward density and making decisions more quickly and accurately.        Keywords: hospital; inpatient ward; computer vision; yolov8; visitor monitoring Abstrak: Rumah sakit sebagai fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan memiliki tingkat mobilitas pengunjung yang tinggi, khususnya pada ruang rawat inap, sehingga diperlukan pengendalian jumlah pengunjung untuk menjaga kenyamanan, keselamatan pasien, dan kualitas pelayanan. Pemantauan jumlah pengunjung secara manual dinilai kurang efektif dan rentan terhadap kesalahan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pemantauan jumlah pengunjung ruang rawat inap rumah sakit berbasis kecerdasan buatan menggunakan teknologi computer vision. Sistem yang dikembangkan memanfaatkan model YOLOv8 sebagai algoritma object detection untuk mendeteksi dan menghitung jumlah pengunjung secara otomatis melalui kamera. Informasi jumlah pengunjung ditampilkan melalui antarmuka pemantauan berbasis desktop dan dilengkapi dengan notifikasi peringatan melalui aplikasi Telegram serta alarm otomatis apabila jumlah pengunjung melebihi batas yang ditetapkan sesuai kebijakan rumah sakit. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu bekerja dengan baik dalam mendeteksi dan menghitung jumlah pengunjung secara real-time, serta mengirimkan informasi dan peringatan secara responsif. Dengan demikian, sistem ini dinilai efektif sebagai solusi pendukung manajemen rumah sakit berbasis teknologi dalam pengendalian kepadatan ruang rawat inap dan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat dan akurat. ANALISIS DAN PERANCANGAN TEKNIK FORWARD CHAINING UNTUK DETEKSI PENYAKIT SAPI DINAS PERIKANAN DAN PETERNAKAN BATU BARA

This system aims to help farmers identify various diseases in cattle quickly and accurately,… ately, which can ultimately improve livestock health and livestock productivity. In developing this system, the Forward Chaining technique is used as the main inference method. This method was chosen because of its ability to produce conclusions based on available facts in stages, so it is very suitable for expert system applications that require repeated and complex decision-making processes. This research begins with a system requirements analysis that includes identification of common types of cattle diseases, associated symptoms, as well as the knowledge and rules required for the diagnosis process. Next, system design is carried out which includes creating a knowledge base, inference engine, and user interface. The result of this research is a prototype expert system for diagnosing cattle diseases which has been tested and shows satisfactory performance in detecting various cattle diseases based on the symptoms entered. With this system, it is hoped that farmers can more quickly take appropriate action against diseases that attack their livestock, so that they can minimize losses and increase the efficiency of livestock businesses. Abstrak: Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis dan perancangan sistem deteksi penyakit sapi menggunakan teknik Forward Chaining. Sistem ini bertujuan untuk membantu peternak dalam mengidentifikasi berbagai penyakit pada sapi secara cepat dan akurat, yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kesehatan ternak dan produktivitas peternakan. Dalam pengembangan sistem ini, teknik Forward Chaining digunakan sebagai metode inferensi utama. Metode ini dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam menghasilkan kesimpulan berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang tersedia secara bertahap, sehingga sangat cocok untuk aplikasi sistem pakar yang memerlukan proses pengambilan keputusan berulang dan kompleks. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan analisis kebutuhan sistem yang mencakup identifikasi jenis-jenis penyakit sapi yang umum, gejala-gejala yang terkait, serta pengetahuan dan aturan yang diperlukan untuk proses deteksi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan perancangan sistem yang mencakup pembuatan basis pengetahuan, mesin inferensi, dan antarmuka pengguna. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah prototipe sistem pakar deteksi penyakit sapi yang telah diuji dan menunjukkan kinerja yang memuaskan dalam mendeteksi berbagai penyakit sapi berdasarkan gejala-gejala yang dimasukkan. Dengan sistem ini, diharapkan peternak dapat lebih cepat dalam mengambil tindakan yang tepat terhadap penyakit yang menyerang ternaknya, sehingga dapat meminimalisir kerugian dan meningkatkan efisiensi usaha peternakan. Rancang Bangun Robot Sampah Dengan System Kendali Android Dan System Buka Wadah Otomatis Berbasis Controller

Like a cafe or a place to eat on Merbo Bagan Asahan village Tanjung Balai sub-district Asahan district… ict which has about 5 cafes and does not include street vendors. The Asahan area has a population of 118,750 people, assuming the waste product ranges from 356,250 l/day, and the amount of waste is 160m3/day. Based on the above problem conditions, making a garbage robot can increase the interest of cafe visitors to dispose of garbage in its place, by utilizing a type of qualitative research method and the results of research testing on the electronics module in the design of a garbage robot found that the interface system between Android and the robot utilizes a 5VDC voltage, with pins RX-TX and TX-RX, as well as all outputs in the form of SG90 servo using 5VDC supply and IC L298 mini supplied with 7.4 VDC voltage. So that one of the advantages of the garbage robot design is that it is able to operate both remotely and in a stopped condition.   Keywords: Garbage Robot; Android Control System; Controller Based.     Abstrak: Sampah plastik dan botol plastik juga merupakan sampah yang memiliki masa larut atau masa terurai yang sangat lama. Seperti cafe atau tempat makan yang berada di jalan Merbo Desa Bagan Asahan Kecamatan Tanjung Balai Kabupaten Asahan yang memiliki sekitar 5 cafe dan tidak termasuk pedagang kaki lima. Untuk wilayah Asahan memiliki jumlah penduduk 118.750 jiwa, dengn asumsi produk sampah berkisar 356.250 l/hr, dan jumlah sampah 160m3/hr. Berdasarkan kondisi masalah diatas pembuatan robot sampah bisa menambah minat para pengunjung cafe untk membuang sampah pada tempatnya, dengan memanfaatkan jenis metode penelitian kualitatif dan hasil pengujian penelitian pada modul elektronika pada perancangan robot sampah mendapati bahwa sistem  interface antara android dengan robot  memanfaatkan tegangan 5VDC, dengan pin RX-TX dan TX-RX, serta seluruh output berupa servo SG90 menggunakan supply 5VDC dan  IC l298 mini disupply tegangan 7.4 VDC. Sehingga salah satu kelebihan dari rancangan robot sampah yaitu mampu beroperasi baik dikendalikan jarak jauh ataupun dalam kondisi berhenti.   Kata kunci : Robot Sampah;System Kendali Android;Berbasis Controller.
