The recognition of living law in Indonesia's national Criminal Code creates a new legal space for positioning Nias customary criminal sanctions, particularly Ogauta, within the national sentencing system. The central problem is the tension between recognition of local wisdom, the principle of legality, and the state's obligation to protect human rights. This research applies normative legal research using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, while examining Fondrakö and Ogauta through scholarly literature on Nias customary law. The study finds that Ogauta does not operate as an autonomous criminal punishment regime. It may receive conditional recognition as the fulfillment of customary obligations only when it complies with Articles 2, 66, 96, and 597 of the Criminal Code, as adjusted by Law Number 1 of 2026, and with the criteria stipulated by Government Regulation Number 55 of 2025. The article proposes a Three-Layer Review Model consisting of an existence test, a national legality test, and a constitutional and human rights test to determine whether a particular Ogauta sanction can be integrated, requires normative transformation, or cannot be recognized within the national sentencing system.
Abstract:E-sport, a rapidly growing competitive field, offers promising career opportunities for many individuals. However, the intense training regimens, isolation from broader social interactions, and performance pressures can…
significantly impact the life satisfaction of E-Sport athletes. This study aims to describe the life satisfaction levels among E-Sport athletes. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 100 E-Sport athletes. The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) based on Diener's (1984) theory, comprising 26 valid items with a reliability coefficient of 0.933, was utilized as the measurement tool. Results indicate that 57% of athletes reported high life satisfaction. Specifically, 80.6% had high satisfaction with future life, whereas 60% had low satisfaction with their past life. Early adult male E-Sport athletes with incomes between 5,000,000 - 7,000,000 IDR and greater than 10,000,000 IDR, training for 16-24 hours, and participating in over 10 tournaments had higher life satisfaction. Conversely, athletes earning 3,000,000 - 5,000,000 IDR, training for 10-15 hours, and participating in fewer than eight tournaments reported lower life satisfaction.
Abstract:The purpose of this research is to analyze the Collaborative Governance Regime (CGR) in the management of residents affected by the post-earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction disasters in Palu City. The research method used…
ed is a qualitative approach with Miles and Huberman 2014 data analysis consisting of: data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that the Collaborative Governance Regime (CGR) in handling disaster-affected residents after the earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction disasters have not run optimally. This is because there are components in the Collaborative Governance Regime (CGR) cycle that are not going well.
Abstract:Abrogation (abrogation) holds a central, vexed position in Islamic legal-theological hermeneutics. Classical uṣūl al-fiqh elaborated a technical theory of abrogation that attempted to mediate the diachronic process of revelation…
revelation and the demands of fixity of legal judgment (ḥukm). Tradition receipts that later scripture abrogates earlier scripture wherever actual, unavoidable contradiction is found, classically expressed as "al-nāsikh wa-l-mansūkh.". Pre-modern thinkers classified modes and cases of abrogation, inferred them from revelational phases, and counted suspected cases throughout the Qur'an and Sunna. Modern scholarship avoids both epistemic pretensions and hyperbolic earlier assertions of abrogation. The article tracks early meanings, introduces intratraditional caution that moderated abrogation, and evaluates recent re-analyses based on coherence theory, maqāṣid (purposes), historicization in context, and ethics. It argues that abrogation was included in pre-modern dogmatics as a component of a package of other hermeneutical strategies (specification, restriction, prioritization, suspension) and that available resources allow for a less ambitious, economy-of-means approach. A renovated dogma leaner, evidence-based, and syncretized with maqāṣid and semantics can ensure the normativity of revelation and make the law more attentive to modern moral concerns, such as gender justice, religious pluralism, and violence. The paper reaches its climax with the proposal of a "manifest conflict resolution" regime. where abrogation is held in reserve as a last resort and not the initial starting point and has ramification for legal rulings (fatwā), legal codification and education more widely. Abstract:This study explores how marginalized communities in Makassar construct and sustain their life rhythms amidst the temporal pressures shaped by infrastructure systems, mobility regimes, and urban development logics. Employing…
ing a space- and time-based urban ethnographic approach, the research traces residents’ daily tactics, rhythmic narratives, and spatial practices in navigating mobility exclusion and the accelerating, non-inclusive urban pace.
Field findings reveal that residents engage in various forms of micro-resistance—such as adjusting selling hours, utilizing interstitial moments in urban space, and cultivating social rhythms that diverge from technocratic logics. Within temporalities not governed by state or capital, urban spaces are collectively reproduced from below, positioning spatial production as a bottom-up process rather than a top-down imposition.
The study contributes theoretically by advancing Lefebvre’s rhythmanalysis, Urry’s notion of differential mobility, and Gandy’s political ecology of infrastructure within the context of Global South cities. By foregrounding time as a critical analytical lens, the research expands our understanding of how power operates temporally in urban life, and how residents negotiate this power through their everyday rhythms.
Ultimately, this research offers a new perspective for interpreting urban dynamics—not only through spatiality but also through socially produced temporalities.
Abstract:Karstification is the dominant geological process controlling groundwater circulation and permeability in carbonate aquifers. Through the dissolution of carbonate rocks, karst processes create highly heterogeneous systems…
s characterized by fractures, conduits, and interconnected channel networks that significantly influence groundwater flow dynamics. This literature review aims to synthesize current knowledge regarding the effects of karst on water circulation and permeability in carbonate aquifers based on hydrogeological, hydrochemical, geophysical, and numerical modeling studies from various regions worldwide. The review shows that karstification substantially enhances hydraulic conductivity and produces complex flow regimes ranging from diffuse fracture flow to turbulent conduit flow. The epikarst zone plays an important role in regulating infiltration and recharge distribution, while tectonic structures such as faults and fractures strongly control groundwater pathways and aquifer compartmentalization. Karst aquifers also exhibit strong spatial variability in permeability, making groundwater flow and contaminant transport difficult to predict using conventional hydrogeological approaches. In addition, the integration of equivalent porous medium (EPM), discrete fracture network (DFN), and conduit network (CN) models is essential for accurately representing karst aquifer behavior. Understanding the influence of karstification on groundwater circulation is therefore crucial for sustainable groundwater management and aquifer vulnerability assessment, particularly in regions facing increasing water demand and climate change pressures.
Abstract:Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the predominant cause of global mortality. Polypill techniques that integrate various cardiovascular drugs into a single formulation have emerged as a potential method…
thod for primary prevention, especially in intermediate-risk populations.
Objective: To systematically review and synthesize evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of polypill formulations (comprising antihypertensive medications, statins, with or without aspirin) in comparison to standard care or placebo for the primary prevention of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk populations.
Methods: We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis in accordance with PRISMA 2020 standards (Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO CRD420251184718). Various databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus) were examined for original research published from January 2015 to October 2024. Studies were eligible if they assessed polypill therapies in individuals aged 30 to 70 years with intermediate cardiovascular risk (10-20% 10-year risk), reported composite major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) outcomes, and included a minimum follow-up of 6 months. Two independent reviewers conducted screening, data extraction, and risk of bias evaluation utilizing the Cochrane RoB 2.0 tool.
Results: Of the 161 records discovered, 4 randomized controlled studies (HOPE-3, TIPS-3, PolyIran, PolyPars) with 31,501 people fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Polypill therapies showed a substantial decrease in composite MACE relative to control groups (pooled HR 0.67 (95% CI 0.60-0.75, p<0.001). Individual trial hazard ratios varied from 0.50 (PolyPars) to 0.66 (PolyIran) and 0.79 (TIPS-3) with moderate heterogeneity (I²=35.2%, p=0.20). Polypills were generally well- tolerated, with a safety profile consistent with the individual components. Medication adherence was enhanced with the polypill in comparison to multiple-pill regimens.
Conclusions: Polypill techniques markedly reduce major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in intermediate-risk patients for primary cardiovascular prevention, achieving around a 33% relative risk reduction. The fixed-dose combination strategy provides benefits in compliance and ease of use. These findings hold significant implications for healthcare systems in low-to-
middle-income nations, such as Indonesia, where the burden of cardiovascular disease is substantial and access to long-term cardiovascular drugs is frequently hindered by cost and complexity.
Abstract:Epilepsi anak membutuhkan tata laksana farmakologis jangka panjang yang bertujuan menurunkan frekuensi kejang dengan efek samping seminimal mungkin.
