en remains teacher-centered, verbalistic, and insufficient in promoting meaningful scientific literacy. In response to these challenges, neuroscience provides a theoretical and empirical foundation for designing learning media that align with how the brain processes, stores, and retrieves information. This study aims to systematically examine the integration of neuroscience principles into science learning media and their effects on elementary students' scientific literacy. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). Relevant peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2024 were retrieved from Scopus, Google Scholar, ERIC, and DOAJ databases. The review followed four stages: identification, selection, quality appraisal, and thematic synthesis. The results indicate that neuroscience-based interventions—such as Augmented Reality (AR), Brain-Based Learning (BBL), interactive multimedia, and multisensory instructional strategies—consistently improve students' motivation, attention, conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and scientific literacy compared to conventional instructional approaches. The novelty of this study lies in its systematic synthesis of neuroscience-based science learning media through a PICO-oriented framework, highlighting the interaction between cognitive, affective, and technological dimensions of learning. The findings provide important implications for science education, particularly in guiding the development of neuroscience-informed learning media and instructional designs to enhance scientific literacy in elementary schools.
Abstract:This study investigates the communicative practices of youth volunteers involved in Surabaya’s Kelurahan Bersinar anti-drug initiative, highlighting the role of grassroots messaging in shaping public health discourse. Grounded…
Grounded in framing theory, narrative theory, and social capital theory, the research explores how volunteers construct persuasive anti-drug messages through culturally rooted storytelling, emotional framing, and symbolic communication. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through interviews, focus groups, observations, and campaign materials with 18 youth volunteers. The findings reveal that volunteers effectively used personal experiences and local narratives to foster trust and collective identity, transforming individual challenges into shared stories of hope and resistance. Emotional strategies, such as gain-framed and fear-based appeals, were deliberately crafted to trigger empathy and promote behavioral change. Volunteers also capitalized on their deep integration within community networks to enhance message credibility and reach, cultivating both bonding and bridging social capital. The study challenges top-down approaches in health campaigns, illustrating the power of peer-led, culturally resonant communication. It contributes a layered communication model for grassroots health advocacy and underscores the transformative impact of narrative-driven volunteer engagement. The study recommends integrating cultural framing in training programs and exploring digital channels to scale grassroots messaging in future research.
Abstract:This research is designed to examine how students use both denotative and connotative meanings in their everyday utterances within the campus environment. In daily communication, students do not rely solely on literal meanings;…
anings; instead, their language often conveys implied messages shaped by context, cultural background, and patterns of social interaction. To explore this phenomenon, the study applies a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on naturally occurring conversations among students in various campus settings. Data were collected through careful observation and documentation of students’ spoken interactions, allowing for an in-depth understanding of how meaning is constructed in real-life situations. The results indicate that students actively employ both denotative and connotative meanings in their speech. However, connotative meanings appear more dominant, particularly in informal contexts such as casual conversations with peers. This tendency highlights the role of language as a flexible and dynamic tool for expression. Furthermore, the frequent use of connotative language demonstrates students’ creativity in conveying ideas, emotions, and attitudes. It also reflects how language functions as a marker of social identity, helping students build relationships and express group belonging within the academic community.
Abstract:Financial independence remains a critical challenge for Islamic educational institutions, primarily due to their persistent reliance on external funding sources. Such dependency not only undermines financial stability but…
t also constrains institutional autonomy and long-term sustainability. This article aims to conceptually examine pathways toward financial independence in Islamic educational institutions through a zero capital approach. Employing a qualitative library research design, this study critically analyzes scholarly books and peer-reviewed journal articles related to Islamic education management, social entrepreneurship, and non-profit organizational governance. The findings reveal that financial independence is not solely determined by the availability of financial capital, but rather by the institution’s capacity to optimize non-financial assets, including social capital, intellectual capital, and symbolic capital. The zero capital approach emerges as a transitional strategy that encourages the effective utilization of internal resources, competency-based productive innovation, and operational efficiency through digitalization. The novelty of this article lies in repositioning financial independence as a structural, asset-based process aligned with Islamic values, rather than as an instant outcome driven by monetary capital. This study contributes to the advancement of Islamic education management discourse and offers strategic insights for institutional leaders seeking sustainable financial independence under resource constraints.
Abstract:The rapid advancement of digital technologies has fundamentally restructured the nature of work and transformed the roles, practices, and strategies of Human Resource Management (HRM). This article presents a systematic…
review of HRM challenges and opportunities within digital workplace environments, drawing on peer-reviewed literature published between 2015 and 2024. Five core dimensions of digital HRM transformation are examined: technology-based talent acquisition, remote and hybrid workforce management, continuous digital competency development, people analytics and data-driven decision-making, and the ethics of algorithmic management. The findings reveal that while digitalization enhances HR efficiency and organizational agility, it simultaneously introduces complex challenges related to employee well-being, digital equity, and data privacy. This article further proposes the Digital HRM Maturity Model as a conceptual framework offering organizations a structured pathway toward sustainable, human-centered digital transformation. Managerial implications and future research directions are discussed accordingly.
Abstract:The phenomenon of bullying in educational settings involving children and adolescents is increasingly worrying because it has serious physical and psychological impacts on victims. This study aims to analyze the criminological…
ogical perspective on children as perpetrators of bullying and to identify the criminogenic factors that influence this behavior. The method used is normative legal research with a case study approach and a conceptual approach, utilizing secondary data from legal literature, journals, and bullying cases at the Al-Azhar Janapria Islamic Boarding School in Central Lombok. The results indicate that bullying behavior can be explained through strain theory, differential association theory, social control theory, and labeling theory. Bullying is influenced by faulty social learning processes, weak social control, and the application of negative labels. Criminogenic factors include the social environment, the individual, peers, and the family. Prevention efforts need to be carried out comprehensively through synergy between families, schools, and the community to create a safe and violence-free educational environment.

an riil masyarakat. Berdasarkan observasi di Desa Kesamben, teridentifikasi persoalan krusial berupa belum optimalnya pembentukan karakter anak usia dini akibat rendahnya pemahaman orang tua mengenai pola asuh efektif.
