Despite the majority having below the recommended 7 hours of sleep per night, the study found a weak negative correlation (-0.088) between sleep duration and academic performance (GPA). However, the p-value of 0.684 suggested that this correlation was not statistically significant. Discussion highlighted the importance of sleep for cognitive functions and academic success. Although the study contradicted some existing theories, it emphasized the need for further research with larger samples and more specific performance measurements. Buddhist Religious Education teachers have a strategic role in shaping the character and behavior of students through the internalization of Buddhist Pancasila values, which are expected to prevent potential delinquency and foster students who are morally and spiritually grounded. This study aims to analyze the roles, effectiveness, and strategies employed by Nalanda students in instilling Buddhist Pancasila values in elementary schools as a preventive effort against juvenile delinquency. This research applies a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The study was conducted at Mutiara 17 August Elementary School, Edelweiss School, and Bina Pelita Bangsa Elementary School. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving Nalanda students, principals, and homeroom teachers in five elementary schools. The data analysis technique employed was the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results reveal that Nalanda students act as value educators by instilling principles such as loving-kindness (mettā), responsibility, discipline, and respect for parents and teachers. The strategies used include role modeling, habituation in Buddhist spiritual practices, integration of values in learning, and personal approaches to students. The effectiveness of these roles is reflected in students' behavioral changes, such as becoming more orderly, polite, and the declining incidence of violations and social conflicts. The role of Nalanda students as Buddhist Religious Education teachers has proven to contribute significantly to the prevention of juvenile delinquency through character education based on Buddhist Pancasila values.

Sistem pendidikan Indonesia menghadapi beberapa tantangan, khususnya di bidang kurikulum. Salah satu permasalahan utamanya adalah tidak adanya keselarasan antara kurikulum dan kebutuhan tenaga kerja, sehingga terjadi ketidaksesuaian antara keterampilan yang diajarkan di sekolah dengan yang dibutuhkan oleh pasar tenaga kerja. Selain itu, sistem pendidikan telah dikritik karena penekanannya yang berat pada hafalan dan hafalan, yang dipandang sebagai penghalang pengembangan pemikiran kritis dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah di kalangan siswa.
Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, telah dilakukan berbagai upaya untuk mereformasi kurikulum selama bertahun-tahun. Namun, penerapan Kurikulum baru menghadapi beberapa tantangan, termasuk pelatihan guru yang tidak memadai, kurangnya sumber daya, dan penolakan dari pemangku kepentingan. Artikel ini diakhiri dengan menyoroti perlunya upaya berkelanjutan untuk memastikan keberhasilan penerapan Kurikulum baru dan memaksimalkan potensi dampaknya terhadap kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.
Abstract
This article provides an overview of the history of curriculum reform in Indonesia, the current state of the curriculum, the process of curriculum reform, and the challenges and implications of implementing the new Curriculum. The article argues that curriculum reform is crucial for Indonesia's education system to meet the needs of its students and prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century.
The Indonesian education system has been facing several challenges, particularly in the area of curriculum. One of the main issues is the lack of alignment between the curriculum and the needs of the workforce, resulting in a mismatch between the skills taught in schools and those required by the labor market. Moreover, the education system has been criticized for its heavy emphasis on rote learning and memorization, which has been seen as a barrier to the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
To address these challenges and improve the quality of education in Indonesia, there have been multiple attempts to reform the curriculum over the years. The most recent curriculum reform, the 2013 Curriculum, aims to improve the relevance of the curriculum to the needs of the workforce, promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and equip students with the skills required for the 21st century.
However, the implementation of the new Curriculum has faced several challenges, including inadequate teacher training, lack of resources, and resistance from stakeholders. The article concludes by highlighting the need for continued efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the new Curriculum and maximize its potential impact on the quality of education in Indonesia.

This research used a descriptive survey with a sample size of 170 respondents and the sampling method is purposive sampling. Descriptive analysis of the components of HBM perceived severity category is quite good (90.0%), perceived barriers is a quite good category (68.2%), perceived benefits is found to be in a quite good category (77.6%), health motivation is in quite a good category (81.2%) and it can be seen that the perception of vulnerability (55.9%) and perception of cues to act (56.5%) was quite good. Positive perceptions include student perceptions of the Health Belief Model's effectiveness in preventing COVID-19, which are rated as being quite good. However, policies regarding foreign language teaching teachers in Northern Cyprus must be reviewed to provide immense opportunities to enhance language competence of both language teachers and learners. In this sense, foreign language teaching and learning policy in ELT as well as other foreign languages must be well taught and successfully integrated into school systems and societies. Hence, the open-ended questions have been administered to six (6) foreign language teachers to elicit more detailed responses concerning teachers’ perception on changing time and options in teaching industry. The findings reveal how significant it is to introduce positive changes in foreign language teaching. The study suggests to be circumspect in the implementation of language policies and classroom activities regarding foreign language teaching and learning in order to prevent negative influences on both the teachers’ and the learners’ first language, ethnicity or culture.
