AIRLINE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PASSENGER DEPARTURE CANCELLATIONS DUE TO NOT COMPLETING HEALTH REQUIREMENTS ( RAPID TEST )(Research Study at Kuala Namu Airport)

Abstract: Factors that cause airlines to cancel flights include commercial, technical, operational, weather, and airport factors. Airlines are responsible for canceling departures due to health care requirements (accelerated testing):… ng): if a passenger tests positive for antigen, they must undergo a PCR test; if negative, they can continue, and the price of the ticket is returned to fly back at least 3 days later. If the passenger gets a PCR test, they must quarantine for 14 days, rescheduling the ticket according to the passenger's status after quarantine. Or the entire ticket will be refunded. There are no specific provisions for consumer legal protection for departure cancellations due to failure to complete health care (accelerated testing), but compliance is not limited to Law Number 1 of 2009 concerning Aviation is not achieved. However, passengers as consumers have legal protection under the Consumer Protection Law relating to passenger rights as consumers of air transportation services, and the Civil Code relating to the status of passengers as parties to a transportation contract with airlines.

THE INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP, MOTIVATION AND ENVIRONMENT WORK ON CIVIL SERVANT PERFORMANCE AT THE MEDAN PETISAH DISTRICT OFFICE

Abstract: In general, the goal of every company, both private and public, is to improve the quality of its human resources to produce good performance. This research was conducted to determine the influence of Leadership, Motivation&#8230; on and Work Environment on the Performance of Civil Servants at the Medan Petisah Sub-district Office. The sample used amounted to 32 respondents. This study used a quantitative method with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS Version 22 program. The results showed that the regression equation Y=12.801+0.426X1+0.607X2+0.030X3. The results of this research show that leadership partially has a significant effect on employee performance with a t-count > t-table (3.027 > 2.048) and a sig value (0.005 <0.05). Motivation partially has a significant effect on employee performance with t-count > t-table (5.891 > 2.048) and sig value (0.000 < 0.05). The work environment has partially no significant effect on employee performance with a t-count < t-table (0.214 < 2.048) and a sig value (0.832 > 0.05). Leadership, Motivation and Work Environment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance with Fcount > Ftable (116.027 > 2.95) with a sig value (0.000 <0.05). The coefficient of determination of Adjuted R Square is 0.918 which means 91.8% of employee performance at the Medan Petisah Sub-District Office is influenced by the variables of Leadership, Motivation and Work Environment.

Fairclough’s Three Dimensions Critical Discourse Analysis of Malcolm X’s Speech at Oxford Union Debate

Abstract: In discourse, speech is not only considered as a linguistic phenomenon but also as a means to maintain or change power relations in society. One of the clearest examples of the use of speech in discourse to change social&#8230; change occurred in The Black Civil Rights Movement from 1955 to 1968 in the United States. Based on the interest in studying Malcolm X's speech further, the thesis writer decided to analyze Malcolm X's speech at the Oxford Union Debate using Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis framework with a qualitative method that will focus on linguistic issues as part of social and humanitarian issues. The results of this study showed deconstruction result of Malcolm X's speech text by analyzing various linguistic features from the dimensions of text practice (including positive and negative lexical items, key terms of ideology and belief, modality, and rhetorical devices), discursive practice (including intertextuality and shared knowledge), and sociocultural (including formality and personal pronouns), then continued with a discussion of the relationship between discourse, power, and ideology and the role of Malcolm X's speech in the historical context at that time. It can be concluded that Malcolm X's speech highlights his advocacy for revolutionary justice and self-defense for oppressed black people. He also challenged the power structures of his time, opposing segregation and exposing the hypocrisy of the American and Western governments with white supremacy and colonialism behind the mask of democracy.

Abstract: Runtuhnya Orde Baru di Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, termasuk pembatasan kebebasan masyarakat dan kebijakan otoriter yang mempengaruhi kehidupan politik. Demontrasi besar-besaran oleh mahasiswa pada tahun itu&#8230; tu menggoyahkan pemerintahan otoriter, membuka jalan bagi demokrasi. Azra, seorang intelektual Muslim, memperhatikan fenomena ini dan munculnya wacana civil society di Indonesia. Dia menekankan pentingnya reformasi konstitusional, institusi, dan budaya politik untuk menuju demokrasi yang lebih baik. Azra juga menyoroti peran masyarakat madani dalam memerangi korupsi, menekankan perlunya good governance. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kepustakaan (library research)  dengan didasari oleh kajian literatur terdahulu seperti buku, artikel, berita serta referensi berupa karya ilmiah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat madani di Indonesia telah diidentifikaksi sebagai faktor penting dalam mencegah korupsi yang merajalela. Konsep ini mengupayakan untuk membangun masyarakat yang berkualitas dan berkeadaban, serta berperan sebagai kohesi sosial dalam kepemimpinan. Dengan mengkampanyekan anti korupsi, masyarakat madani bertujuan untuk mewujudkan kepemerintahan yang baik (good governance) dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam setiap aspek kepemimpinannya

Abstract: This paper investigates matters of district and pessimism to the police in Franz Kafka’s flash fiction entitled Give It Up!. The story is about a walker who gets lost on a town street and then asks a policeman to find the&#8230; the route to his destination. Unexpectedly, the policeman told the man to give up looking for the path while turning away and laughing. This story reflects the author's expression of distrust then leads to a state of pessimism either as a philosophical doctrine or as a psychological mentality. In analysis through qualitative method, the figure of the police is an analogy of how the attitude of distrust emerged and developed into a form of pessimism especially to public apparatus. In conclusion, distrust and pessimism are not ex nihilo, but such reaction of any ignorance from public apparatus to any civilian.

Abstract: Crimes against the environment in the form of environmental destruction can be committed by individuals or corporations. Business activities carried out by corporations often cause environmental damage, because corporate&#8230; activities are primarily aimed at profit. This article was written using a normative legal research method with a case approach. The legal materials used in writing this article are primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The results of this research are criminal liability for corporations that commit criminal acts as in Decision Number No. 133/Pid.B/2013/PN. Mbo is in the form of civil lawsuit sanctions for losses suffered by victims and criminal sanctions.

Performance of Staff Administrative Services in The Regional Personnel Agency South Kalimantan Province

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the performance of personnel administration services at the South Kalimantan Provincial Civil Service Agency and what factors hinder its implementation. The research method used in this study is&#8230; s a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Technical data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. Technical analysis of data is done by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data was carried out using data triangulation techniques.The results of the study show that the quality of the performance of personnel administration services at the South Kalimantan Provincial Civil Service Agency is generally good where services are provided according to SOPs, carry out procedures, there are no extortion by employees, then civil servants who those given services are also satisfied, as well as the files needed by civil servants too not too long to get, it's just that there are some delays but can still be overcome. This is caused by several things, including the lack of human resources and inadequate infrastructure at the South Kalimantan Provincial Civil Service Agency.From this research, the authors suggest to the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Civil Service Agency to apply the rules and always evaluate the performance of personnel administration services carried out by BKD employees.
