Abstract:This research comprehensively analyzes the glass industry development policy on Rempang Island, Batam City, Riau Islands Province, using an environmental risk mitigation approach. Employing a descriptive qualitative method…
od with a case study design and library research, this study examines five main dimensions: the chronology of the Rempang Island case, policy conflicts and controversies, the government regulatory framework, disaster risk analysis from nine environmental perspectives, and overall policy evaluation. The findings reveal that the Rempang Eco City project, designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN) through Permenko for Economic Affairs Number 7 of 2023, triggered prolonged agrarian conflict due to the absence of meaningful participation from indigenous Malay communities who have inhabited 16 ancient villages on the island since 1834. The project implementation was marked by forced evictions, repeated acts of violence, and non-transparent environmental impact assessment (AMDAL) processes. Disaster risk analysis from nine environmental perspectives covering air quality, water quality, coastal and marine ecosystems, sand mining and geological degradation, biodiversity, community health, social-cultural impacts, climate change vulnerability, and environmental governance consistently produces high-risk assessments, affirming that Rempang Island as a small island ecosystem lacks adequate carrying capacity for large-scale glass industrial development without permanent and irreversible ecological damage. Although Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2025 de facto removed Rempang Eco City from the list of 77 National Strategic Projects under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, the absence of an explicit revocation of Permenko Number 7 of 2023 creates ongoing legal ambiguity for affected communities. This research concludes that Indonesia urgently requires fundamental reform in its investment-based development policy paradigm, encompassing strengthened indigenous community participation mechanisms, elevation of AMDAL as a non-circumventable legal requirement prior to investment designation, and application of the ecological precautionary principle in small island development.
Abstract:Islamic economics operates as a normative framework prioritizing social justice, equitable wealth redistribution, and collective wellbeing. Despite its robust philosophical foundations, empirical consensus regarding how…
these tenets translate into measurable welfare outcomes across heterogeneous developing nations remains highly fragmented. This study addresses this critical gap by executing a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA 2020 statement to synthesize empirical evidence on the operationalization of Zakat, Waqf, and Islamic Social Finance (ISF) as structural instruments for poverty reduction. Departing from traditional descriptive reviews, this paper introduces an original analytical taxonomy that maps the operational mechanics of ISF against micro-level and macro-level development outcomes. Based on a rigorous multi-stage screening of peer-reviewed empirical studies published between 2020 and 2025 across emerging economies, a final synthesized sample of $n = 10$ high-quality primary articles was evaluated. The qualitative narrative synthesis reveals that integrated ISF instruments exert a structurally positive impact on poverty alleviation, income optimization, and socio-economic empowerment, particularly when embedded within digital financial ecosystems and formal financial inclusion frameworks. However, the analysis uncovers substantial outcome heterogeneity, demonstrating that welfare efficacy is highly conditional upon institutional governance quality, targeting accuracy, and localized implementation designs. The structural novelty of this research lies in its empirical crystallization of the explicit boundary conditions under which normative faith-based capital successfully disrupts poverty traps, offering an evidence-based operational blueprint for policymakers and Sharia social institutions in the Global South.
Abstract:This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI) learning in strengthening students’ religious moderation at SMP Islam Terpadu Bangkinang. Religious moderation is…
is conceptualized as a religious attitude that emphasizes balance, tolerance, justice, and respect for diversity, which are essential values in maintaining social harmony within pluralistic societies. In the Indonesian educational context, Islamic Religious Education plays a strategic role not only in developing students’ religious knowledge but also in shaping moderate religious attitudes that prevent intolerance and extremism. Therefore, systematic evaluation of PAI learning is crucial to ensure that religious moderation values are effectively internalized by students.
This study employs a qualitative approach with an evaluative research design to comprehensively examine how religious moderation values are integrated into PAI learning. The evaluation focuses on three main aspects: learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers and students, and documentation analysis of learning instruments such as lesson plans, syllabi, and assessment tools. These data collection techniques were employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of instructional practices, teacher–student interactions, and assessment strategies related to the cultivation of religious moderation values. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to ensure systematic and credible findings.
The findings reveal that PAI learning at SMP Islam Terpadu Bangkinang has integrated religious moderation values into learning objectives and instructional planning. Teachers explicitly formulate learning goals that emphasize tolerance, balance, and mutual respect, while learning materials are contextualized to students’ social realities. During the learning implementation stage, teachers apply dialogical and participatory teaching methods, such as discussions and case-based learning, to encourage students to critically reflect on religious issues and social diversity. These approaches provide students with opportunities to understand differing perspectives and develop moderate religious attitudes in a reflective and respectful manner.
However, the study also identifies several challenges in the implementation of religious moderation-based learning. The use of contextual and innovative instructional methods remains limited, and learning activities tend to rely on conventional approaches. Moreover, the evaluation of religious moderation attitudes has not yet been conducted systematically. Assessment instruments primarily focus on cognitive achievement, while affective and attitudinal dimensions—such as tolerance, openness, and balanced religious behavior—are not comprehensively measured using structured indicators or rubrics. This limitation affects the accuracy of evaluating students’ overall development of religious moderation.
This study concludes that continuous and systematic evaluation of Islamic Religious Education learning is essential to enhance the effectiveness of strengthening religious moderation among students. The development of more comprehensive, contextual, and sustainable assessment instruments is necessary to holistically measure students’ cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions. In addition, the adoption of more dynamic and participatory instructional strategies is recommended to support deeper internalization of religious moderation values. The findings of this study contribute to the discourse on Islamic education and religious moderation by providing empirical insights into evaluative practices at the secondary school level and offering practical implications for improving PAI learning in pluralistic educational settings.
Abstract:This study applied a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to identify, appraise, and synthesize open-access empirical evidence on inclusive care models in elderly healthcare. The review followed PRISMA 2020 and searched PubMed,…
bMed, Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2015 and 2025. Eligible articles were original research (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) focusing on service delivery or care models for older adults and explicitly addressing inclusivity, integration, person-centeredness, or collaborative care, with full-text availability in English or Indonesian. From 1,280 records, 1,010 unique articles were screened, 80 full texts were assessed, and 10 studies were included in the final synthesis. Across studies, inclusive elderly care was most consistently implemented through integrated, person-centred, team-based delivery combining comprehensive assessment, individualized care planning, coordinated follow-up, and cross-sector collaboration. Stronger benefits were typically observed among frail older adults when care intensity was aligned with comlplex needs by risk stratification and case management. Mental health integration emerged as a critical component for community-dwelling older adults, supporting the integration of psychological care into routine elderly healthcare pathways rather than parallel programs. Evidence from institutional settings indicated that partnership-based models involving nurses, caregivers, and older adults can improve functional outcomes. Overall, the findings support scaling integrated community and institutional partnership approaches, while future research should strengthen reporting on implementation fidelity, equity impacts, and cost-effectiveness to guide sustainable adoption of inclusive, gerontic-friendly care models.
Abstract:Ecclesiastes 9:1-6 presents a fundamental and provocative theological statement about the reality of death as an inevitable fate for all humanity, without distinguishing between the righteous and the wicked. This discourse…
se explicitly challenges the retributive ethical framework that assumes a linear relationship between morality and reward, while also revealing the existential absurdity of humans who often seek meaning through fragile worldly achievements. This study aims to interpret the pericope through an existential and contextual theological approach, focusing on its theological relevance in addressing the crisis of spirituality and ethics in modern culture dominated by ambition for power, economic exploitation, and the marginalization of transcendental values. Utilizing a reflective-critical hermeneutical method, this study argues that awareness of mortality should not lead to ontological despair, but rather serve as a starting point for forming a more authentic, relational, and ethical orientation to life. Death in this text functions as an epiphanic moment that unveils human limitations while reorienting existential focus toward God and social responsibility. The novelty of this research lies in its prophetic reading of a wisdom text that has often been interpreted pessimistically, highlighting its potential as a theological critique against modern nihilistic and anti-spiritual ideologies. This study contributes to the development of a contextual theological framework capable of constructively and transformatively responding to the crisis of meaning and ethics in contemporary society.
Abstract:The enactment of Law Number 3 of 2024, as the second amendment to Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, has introduced new challenges in the governance of village administration, particularly in the legal accountability…
ity of village heads in managing village finances. Although the law outlines the authority of village heads, it does not explicitly stipulate provisions for criminal or civil sanctions in cases of abuse of power. This normative gap poses potential risks of harm to village communities due to the weak legal accountability mechanisms. This study aims to examine and analyze the legal implications of the normative vacuum in village regulations and to emphasize the urgency of establishing more specific and binding implementing regulations. Employing a normative juridical research method through statutory and conceptual approaches, this study analyzes relevant legislation and supporting legal literature. The findings reveal that the absence of clear legal sanction provisions in the Village Law creates a legal grey area that can be exploited for administrative misconduct and corruption. Therefore, regulatory reform is required in the form of amendments or the formulation of implementing regulations that explicitly define the types of sanctions and legal accountability mechanisms for village heads. The novelty of this study lies in its systematic identification of legal loopholes that have received limited attention in existing village law literature, as well as its concrete proposals for regulatory reformulation aimed at strengthening accountability and transparency in village financial management.
Abstract:This study investigates the influence of the work environment and quality of work life on individual work productivity among Generation Z, with mental health serving as a mediating variable within the structural model. Generation…
eneration Z, as a demographic cohort increasingly dominating the labor force, exhibits distinctive psychosocial characteristics that necessitate adaptive managerial approaches, particularly concerning psychological well-being in the workplace. The sample comprised 161 respondents employed across various industrial sectors in Indonesia, selected using a sampling technique based on Lemeshow’s formula for populations lacking explicit definition. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach to assess causal relationships among constructs and to validate the proposed theoretical model. Empirical findings reveal that both the work environment and quality of work life exert a positive and statistically significant influence on mental health. Furthermore, these two variables also directly contribute to enhanced work productivity. In addition, mental health is demonstrated to be a significant mediator in the relationship between the independent variables and productivity, thereby reinforcing their indirect effects. These results underscore the importance of organizational policy formulation that strategically positions mental health as a core element in human resource management systems. Accordingly, well-being-based workplace interventions not only enhance productivity but also foster a sustainable work ecosystem for the current and future workforce.
Abstract:Abstract: Existing IoT anomaly detection studies have achieved high classification performance, but most focus on accuracy and F1-score without explicitly controlling the false positive rate (FPR). In addition, many approaches…
oaches rely on a single detection perspective, limiting their operational reliability. To address this gap, this study proposes a hybrid anomaly detection framework integrating Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Shannon entropy, and autoencoder reconstruction error. Shannon entropy is incorporated as an additional feature, while LSTM and the autoencoder capture temporal and reconstruction characteristics. The resulting hybrid representation is processed by a constraint-based threshold selection mechanism that enforces FPR . Experiments on the TON-IoT and Edge-IIoTset datasets achieved average F1-scores of 0.9250 and 0.9934, while maintaining average FPR values of 0.0091 and 0.0714, respectively. Analysis of entropy distributions showed consistent differences between normal and anomalous traffic across both datasets, indicating that Shannon entropy provides discriminative information for anomaly detection. These results demonstrate strong detection performance with controlled false alarms, while ablation studies confirm the significant contribution of Shannon entropy to overall model performance.

Abstract:The important role of freedom of expression as a basis for equality, especially within the framework of constitutional law, is very important in Indonesia. This research uses normative juridical qualitative methods to obtain…
tain a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects that regulate freedom of expression in the country. Recognized as an essential human right, freedom of expression is explicitly protected by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The focus of this research is to examine the legal norms governing freedom of expression, which include provisions such as Article 28E paragraph (3) and Article 19 of the Constitution 1945, as well as other statutory regulations. The research results show that freedom of expression is recognized as an inalienable right by the state and is one of the foundations for the realization of a just and democratic society. Although freedom of expression is guaranteed by the constitution, this research also highlights the obstacles and challenges in its implementation. In Indonesia, challenges arise in navigating diverse interpretations of freedom of expression, with concerns about potential exploitation by entities harming public interest. Striking a balance between freedom of expression and societal stability/security is deemed crucial. The research aims to better understand the complexity of freedom of expression within the country's constitutional law and its role in promoting equality. This research aims to find useful insights for creating better policies. These policies should strike a good balance between individual freedom and public interest, ultimately fostering a fair and democratic society.
