Strategies for Developing Technical Competence and Soft Skills in Improving Customer Service Quality at NJS Alumunium Bandung

Billy Gustiawan
Abstract: The manufacturing sector in Indonesia, particularly within the aluminum fabrication and extrusion industry, is currently navigating a period of intense structural transition. Historically characterized by a focus on physical… ical output and technical specifications, enterprises are now increasingly compelled to adopt a service-dominant logic to maintain competitive viability. This research report investigates the strategic implementation of human resource development programs at NJS Alumunium, focusing on the dual-pathway integration of technical competence (hard skills) and interpersonal proficiencies (soft skills). Utilizing the SERVQUAL framework as a primary evaluative tool, the analysis explores how specific technical abilities, such as CNC machining, precision welding, and CAD design, intersect with soft skills like emotional intelligence, communication, and proactive problem-solving to drive customer satisfaction. The study synthesizes data from contemporary Indonesian industrial policies, including "Making Indonesia 4.0," and academic frameworks such as Workplace Learning (WPL) and Total Quality Management (TQM). Findings indicate that while technical mastery is a prerequisite for entry into the high-end aluminum market, soft skills serve as the critical differentiator in fostering customer loyalty and bridging the gap between expectation and perception. The report further details the role of management information systems, the impact of local cultural paternalism in leadership, and the emergence of green capabilities as essential components of a modern competency strategy. The proposed developmental model advocates for a continuous, mentored, and digitally-enabled training ecosystem that aligns organizational capabilities with the sophisticated demands of both domestic and international consumers.

Andi Jenni Indriakati, Nur Achriaty Achmar, Rudy, Puji Rahmah
Abstract: This study aims to introduce and implement a visionary leadership style in the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Soppeng as an effort to improve staff performance and rebuild staff trust. Visionary leadership emphasizes long-term… -term vision, innovation, and the leader’s ability to inspire and motivate staff to work toward shared goals. The target of this activity was the staff of the Pharmacy Installation at RSUD Latemmamala, who experienced a decline in overall trust due to leadership perceived as lacking firmness in directing the team. The methods employed included direct observation through workplace interactions, interviews with the head and staff of the Pharmacy Installation, and direct observation of real working conditions within the hospital environment. The proposed activities consisted of obtaining permission to conduct the program, organizing workshops or socialization sessions on the application of visionary leadership to support improvements in pharmaceutical service quality, documenting all stages of the activity, and preparing a comprehensive report containing observations, analysis, constraints, and recommendations for future activities. Overall, the results indicate that visionary leadership is highly effective in a dynamic work environment such as the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Soppeng. The findings reveal a strong relationship between the implementation of visionary leadership and improvements in staff discipline, responsibility, and professionalism. Thus, the leader’s ability to clearly communicate a shared vision and inspire subordinates is a key factor in building a solid pharmacy team that is adaptive to change and oriented toward improving the quality of patient services at RSUD Soppeng.

Abstract: The limitations of conventional distillation technology hinder micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from producing herbal products with consistent quality. This study aims to develop an Arduino-based distillation… system equipped with automatic temperature control to improve the production capacity and quality of herbal liquid smoke at CV Moga Permata Perkasa. The research methods include system design and fabrication, functional testing, operator training, and performance evaluation. The results demonstrate a 35% increase in production capacity and stable temperature control within a ±2°C range during the distillation process. These findings indicate that the developed system effectively enhances production efficiency and product consistency. Furthermore, the proposed technology is affordable, easy to operate, and has strong potential for implementation and replication among similar MSMEs.

Based on the health profile of Nagan Raya, it shows that the prevalence of pregnant women experiencing CED in 2020 is 5.2%, in 2021 it is 4.6% and from the 2022 Cot Kuta Health Center Report there are 15 pregnant women experiencing CED. From observations, it was found that some Tuha Peut members did not understand the importance of preventing and dealing with SEZs according to Qanuns or village regulations due to the lack of attention from the keuchik and the head of Tuha Peut so that there was no socialization regarding SEZs to pregnant women. Model Hybrid Fuzzy-Weighted Product Evaluasi Kinerja Honorer

Lia Umbari Putri, Rolly Yesputra, Jeperson Hutahaean
Performance evaluation of honorary employees in public institutions often relies on subjective linguistic assessments, leading to evaluator bias and limited accountability. To address this, this paper proposes a Hybrid Fuzzy-Weighted Product (Fuzzy-Weighted Product) model. Fuzzy Logic is adopted to transform linguistic terms into Triangular Fuzzy Numbers (TFN) and crisp scores, while the Weighted Product method aggregates these scores based on multi-criteria weights. The model was evaluated using a case study of ten honorary employees across five criteria: discipline, responsibility, work quality, cooperation, and initiative. The experimental results demonstrate that the hybrid model successfully minimizes evaluator subjectivity and delivers mathematically reproducible rankings. A sensitivity analysis confirms the stability of the final rankings, making the proposed Hybrid Fuzzy–Weighted Product model highly suitable as a core framework for decision-support systems in public sector performance appraisal.
