This phenomenon raises research questions regarding how cultural transformation and identity construction are influenced by the dominance of digital technology, as well as how social media and platform algorithms shape cultural visibility and digital identities. This study employs a qualitative approach through a critical narrative literature review, synthesizing theories of network society, mediatization, cultural globalization, digital capitalism, and digital identity. The analysis focuses on four key issues: cultural digitalization, the role of social media in identity formation, the emergence of hybrid identities, and platform power in determining cultural representation. Findings indicate that digital technology has ambivalent effects: it expands spaces for cultural expression, enhances public participation, and provides opportunities for marginalized groups to represent their identities; however, global platform dominance drives cultural homogenization, identity commodification, and inequitable symbolic representation. The novelty of this study lies in integrating a critical perspective on the influence of algorithms and digital capitalism in identity formation, which has rarely been addressed comprehensively in digital cultural studies. These findings offer theoretical contributions to media and cultural research as well as practical implications for understanding identity representation in the global digital era.

This study is grounded in the need to understand the attitudes of early adult Fujoshi in a more nuanced and non-simplistic way, particularly through the framework of attitude theory encompassing cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The research problem focuses on how Fujoshi aged 18-40 interpret, experience, and express their attitudes toward homoromantic fiction content and its relationship to social values and norms in real life. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with three Fujoshi informants who are members of the XX fan chat group. The findings indicate that social media and peer networks play a significant role in the process of becoming a Fujoshi, as well as in shaping relatively intensive and repetitive patterns of content consumption as a form of emotional entertainment. Cognitively, the informants recognize that homoromantic fiction is related to LGBT issues; however, at the affective level, their interest is primarily driven by the uniqueness of the narrative structure and character dynamics rather than by sexual orientation itself. In the conative dimension, most informants do not demonstrate a tendency to support LGBT practices in real life; some even hold conservative views and display critical awareness of the potential negative impacts of their hobby, which they perceive as not fully aligned with prevailing social norms. The study concludes that Fujoshi attitudes are complex, ambivalent, and highly contextual. The novelty of this research lies in revealing a clear differentiation between the consumption of homoromantic fiction as a form of symbolic entertainment and individuals’ value positions toward social reality, which are often normatively conflated in previous assumptions.

One phenomenon that has emerged alongside the increasing use of social media is Fear of Missing Out (FoMO)—a feeling of anxiety or worry about being left out of trends, information, or social activities experienced by others. This phenomenon not only affects individuals psychologically but also has implications for students’ consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of FoMO on students’ consumptive behavior and to identify the mediating or reinforcing factors that shape this relationship. The research employs a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques through literature review from various recent and relevant sources. The findings indicate that FoMO has a significant correlation with the rise of consumptive behavior among students, especially in the context of purchasing symbolic goods that enhance one’s self-image on social media. Key factors influencing the relationship between FoMO and consumptive behavior include the level of digitalization, social dynamics such as peer pressure, and low self-control. Furthermore, the study finds that financial literacy plays an important protective role. Students with higher levels of financial literacy tend to be more capable of managing the consumptive urges triggered by FoMO. This research contributes new insights into the psychological impact of social media on students’ economic behavior. The novelty of the study lies in its in-depth analysis of the link between FoMO and student consumer behavior in the digital era, as well as the identification of relevant mediating factors. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for developing more adaptive digital and financial literacy education programs to meet the challenges of the technological era.

ademic, social, and mobility activities of the academic community, which heavily depends on pedestrian facilities. Field observations reveal several key issues with the pedestrian facilities in this area, including the sidewalk width not meeting the minimum standard, lack of accessibility features for people with disabilities, absence of vegetation or shade, and insufficient signage and road markings to guide users. These conditions result in discomfort and insecurity for pedestrians, as well as failing to support the principles of inclusivity in infrastructure planning. The research employs a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through field observations, questionnaires, interviews, and literature reviews. Based on the analysis, the majority of respondents expressed the need for improvements to the sidewalk quality, addition of shade trees, enhanced accessibility for people with disabilities, and the installation of supporting facilities such as street lighting. The study then recommends several improvement measures, such as widening the sidewalks to at least 1.5 meters, providing ramps and Guiding blocks, planting vegetation along the pedestrian routes, and installing road signs and markings. These recommendations aim to improve pedestrian comfort and safety. It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as a reference for Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu in creating a campus area that is more friendly, safe, comfortable, and inclusive for all users, while also supporting sustainable mobility.

the Bulutellue Village community. This research applies qualitative research methods. Data was collected through literature review and field research. Field data was collected by conducting participant observation and in-depth interviews with 9 people. Data analysis was carried out by applying the Miles and Huberman technique, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: (1) the mattoana bola celebration is carried out by small families who have successfully built a house and lived in it for approximately three years in a healthy condition and with sufficient sustenance. The mattoana bola celebration is an expression of gratitude to Allah by carrying out several stages, including mattanra esso, maddareheng, massolong bola, mabbarasanji, and mabbaca doang salama. (2) the implementation of the mattoana bola celebration has an important meaning for the people of Bulutellue Village because it contains several values, namely, the value of mutual cooperation, the value of togetherness, religious values, and the value of obedience to leaders.

tory of thrifting, from the medieval period to the emergence of organizations such as Salvation Army and Goodwill that popularized it in the 19th century. The COVID-19 pandemic has reignited interest in thrifting due to economic pressures prompting people to save on expenses. The research methodology employed is qualitative descriptive, utilizing in-depth interviews and direct observations at Pasar Loak Jembatan Item Jatinegara. The findings reveal that traders employ two main strategies: selling directly at the market and through online platforms. Meanwhile, consumers have diverse motivations, ranging from meeting household needs to a desire to collect unique and antique items. Analysis of Alfred Schutz’s phenomenological theory is used to understand the reasons and goals behind consumer’s choices in thrifting. The researcher finds that each individual has different motives, such as goal motives (In order to motive) and because motives (Because motive), underlying their decisions to engage in thrifting. The conclusion of this research is that the phenomenon of thrifting at Pasar Loak Jembatan Item Jatinegara reflects the evolving and relevant dynamics of consumer culture, adapting to social and economic changes. With the evolution of this practice, the second-hand market becomes a favorite place for people to find affordable items, while traders and consumers continue to adapt to technological advancements and changes in the economic landscape. There are several main components in the cooling machine, namely the Compressor, Condenser, Expansion Valve, Evaporator. Each of these important components has different functions and ways of operating, but are connected to each other so that the cooling machine can function. The purpose of the author making this final project is to determine the performance of the cooling system, factors that reduce the performance of the cooling machine, as well as repair and maintenance efforts so that the cooling machine can return to normal operation. This research was conducted on the MV. Vancouver by using a qualitative approach. The author conducted direct observations as well as in-depth interviews and documentation studies when conducting research. The results of the author's research found that the main factor causing the decline in the performance of the cooling machine was the appearance of sparks on the evaporator and coil pipe caused by interference with the filter dryer so that it inhibits heat absorption and the evaporator cannot evaporate the refrigerant optimally. The impact caused by the less than optimal operation of the cooling machine in the Engine Room Workshop MV. Vancouver was an unstable room temperature making the crew feel uncomfortable while working or resting.

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi tingkat kecemasan berbicara di depan umum melalui metode Expressive Writing Therapy yang dilakukan terhadap 13 mahasiswa magang di UPTD PPA Kota Makassar. Terapi dilaksanakan dalam satu sesi yang mencakup pre-test, sesi menulis ekspresif, diskusi/refleksi bersama fasilitator, serta post-test. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya penurunan signifikan tingkat kecemasan dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 77,50 menjadi 64,95 pada post-test (sig. 0,000 < 0,05). Ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi menulis ekspresif efektif sebagai intervensi psikologis untuk membantu mahasiswa mengelola kecemasan saat berbicara di depan publik. Selain itu, terapi ini juga memberi ruang bagi mahasiswa untuk merefleksikan emosi dan memperkuat keterampilan komunikasi mereka di lingkungan kerja. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi contoh program serupa yang bisa diterapkan di instansi lain sebagai upaya pengembangan soft skill mahasiswa.

eling Remaja (PIK-R) di MAN 2 Makassar. Permasalahan tekanan teman sebaya diidentifikasi sebagai isu utama berdasarkan hasil survei data awal yang dilakukan terhadap anggota PIK-R. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemberian psikoedukasi yang disertai dengan pengambilan data melalui pre-test dan post-test. Sebanyak 50 peserta berusia 15–17 tahun mengikuti kegiatan yang terdiri atas pre-test, penyampaian materi psikoedukasi, diskusi interaktif, dan post-test. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup konsep dasar peer pressure, aspek dan jenisnya, bentuk bentuk peer pressure serta faktor faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya peer pressure. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara skor pre-test 3,1 dan post-test 9,2, dengan nilai p < 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kegiatan psikoedukasi yang dilakukan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap dinamika tekanan teman sebaya (Peer pressure). Dengan demikian, kegiatan psikoedukasi ini terbukti efektif dalam membekali remaja dengan keterampilan untuk mengenali, mengevaluasi, dan mengatasi pengaruh negatif dari lingkungan sosialnya. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong terbentuknya peran aktif remaja sebagai agen perubahan positif di lingkungan sekolah.
