an usahanya.
Culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tebing Tinggi City hold significant potential to drive the local economy. However, many business owners still face capital constraints that hinder business expansion. One Sharia-compliant financing solution is the musyarakah contract a form of capital partnership between two or more parties involving profit and risk sharing based on mutual agreement. Unfortunately, culinary MSME owners often lack understanding of the musyarakah concept and its mechanisms; consequently, this Sharia-based financing scheme remains underutilized, including opportunities for capital partnerships with Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT) local Sharia microfinance institutions. This community service initiative aims to educate culinary MSME owners in Tebing Tinggi City on the concepts, principles, and application of musyarakah contracts as an alternative for strengthening Sharia-based capital partnerships, while also raising awareness about partnership opportunities with local BMTs. The implementation method involved a preliminary survey, educational outreach via interactive lectures and Q&A sessions, and a review of sample musyarakah cooperation agreements. The results indicate an improved understanding among participants regarding the musyarakah concept, the benefits of Sharia-based capital partnerships, and fair, transparent profit-sharing mechanisms. This activity is expected to foster synergy among universities, MSME owners, and BMTs, thereby supporting the growth of a culinary economy that is inclusive, equitable, and grounded in Sharia principles.

While for Indonesia's other four largest trading partners, namely Japan, the US, the European Union and Singapore, Indonesia's largest trading partners are uncertain whether they meet the Marshall-Lerner Condition or not.
Abstract:Micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) play a big part in the economy, particularly in village economies. This is a result of the majority of rural firms still falling into the MSME category. Up until now, financial…
ancial reports from MSMEs in rural areas have been infrequent. This is a result of MSME actors' ignorance regarding the preparation of financial reports. Low financial understanding translates into a low ability to produce financial reports. The MSME participants in Cilacap Regency's Sikanco Village, Nusawungu District, have not yet completed their financial reports for their companies. This is a result of their inexperience with financial report writing. Thus, it is impossible to accurately gauge the financial performance of MSMEs. As a result, help is required with both creating financial reports and raising awareness of financial literacy. This program helps with financial report preparation and raises awareness of financial literacy through the use of the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. MSME players came to the realization that financial report preparation is crucial to their firm after receiving support with it. Owners of MSME businesses become conscious of both their personal and company assets. As a result, helping to prepare MSME financial reports is crucial and beneficial for MSME participants. They make an effort to keep track of transactions and financial reports for their company, and the financial reports that have been generated are easily understandable. Residents developed an interest in and an understanding of the significance of financial reporting in order to mitigate the risk of business losses following their education. Additionally, MSME partners are growing increasingly interested in effectively managing family finances in order to improve their welfare since, through keeping track of household spending, they can identify areas where they can save more money and invest the proceeds.
This study aims to analyze the market development strategy implemented to overcome the stagnation of tourist visits (under 50,000 visitors per year) caused by market saturation at the religious tourism object of the Jesus Statue Buntu Burake in Tana Toraja. The religious tourism industry in Indonesia has great potential, yet many destinations face challenges in maintaining and increasing visitor numbers due to increasingly intense competition and changing consumer behavior. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Research informants consisted of tourism site managers (Tourism Office) and tourists selected purposively. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the current market development strategy is still in a transitional phase and has not operated optimally. Destination promotion is still heavily dominated by organic content (digital word-of-mouth) voluntarily uploaded by visitors on visual social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, while official paid advertisements and strategic partnerships with large-scale travel agencies remain highly limited. Furthermore, the study identifies a gap between the core attraction, which is rated highly satisfying, and the quality of supporting service infrastructure that still requires standardization, including road accessibility, toilet cleanliness, availability of trash bins, and the lack of Muslim-friendly facilities, particularly the certainty of halal culinary options. This study concludes that the market development strategy requires shifting from a passive promotion approach to a structured paid digital marketing campaign, expanding geographical and demographic market segments, and upgrading operational facilities to create sustainable visitor satisfaction.
Abstract:The flood disaster that occurred in Ketambe District, Southeast Aceh Regency, at the end of 2025 caused significant impacts on local communities, including damage to housing, disruption of economic activities, and increased…
sed demand for basic necessities. These conditions required a rapid, targeted, and well-coordinated humanitarian response. This community service program aimed to provide clothing and food assistance to flood victims while developing a cross-border university collaboration model for disaster response. The program was implemented through a partnership involving Universitas Gunung Leuser (UGL), Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM), and Insan Cakna. The implementation stages included needs assessment, institutional coordination, aid procurement, aid distribution, and program evaluation. UGL was responsible for needs assessment, local coordination, and aid distribution, while UPTM served as the primary donor providing financial assistance, clothing, and food supplies. Insan Cakna acted as the liaison and coordination facilitator between both institutions. The results demonstrated that the collaboration model improved the effectiveness and accuracy of aid distribution while strengthening institutional synergy in disaster response efforts. Beyond providing direct benefits to affected communities, the program generated a cross-border university collaboration model that can be replicated in future humanitarian and disaster management initiatives. The findings highlight that the success of humanitarian programs depends not only on the availability of aid but also on effective coordination, clear division of responsibilities, and sustainable institutional partnerships.
Abstract:Public service innovation in the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia has been historically dominated by the managerial logic of New Public Management, which positions efficiency and quantitative…
uantitative targets as the measure of success. This approach fails to build long-term relational capacity among entrepreneurs, government, and the broader supporting ecosystem. This article analyses HETERO SPACE (House of Entrepreneurs, Technology-driven Ecosystem, Resource Optimization, Supportive Programs, Accessible Network, Collaborative Environment), a public service innovation developed by the Cooperatives and SME Office of Central Java Province, which received outstanding recognition in the 2025 Public Service Innovation Competition. The analysis applies a New Public Governance framework with emphasis on two sub-theoretical dimensions, namely co-production and collaborative networking. The research approach is a qualitative case study drawing on secondary data from the official Public Service Innovation System, implementation reports of the Central Java Cooperatives and SME Office, and relevant academic literature. The central argument is that HETERO SPACE is not merely an expanded MSME assistance programmed but a transition in the role of government from a sole service provider to an ecosystem orchestrator that mobilizes resources across actors. Findings indicate that HETERO SPACE success rests on three interrelated conditions, namely a platform design that facilitates inter-actor encounters, trust built through repeated interaction, and institutional commitment from the provincial government to share authority with non-state partners. The article contributes to Indonesian public administration literature by shifting the analytical arena of co-production from the social and health sectors to economic governance, and by demonstrating that New Public Governance principles can be operationalized concretely at the subnational level.

Abstract:The persistent gap between theoretical instruction and real-world practice remains a critical challenge in business education, particularly in contexts involving Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Experiential…
learning has been promoted as a pedagogical response to this challenge; however, many initiatives lack structured frameworks that integrate student learning with meaningful community engagement. This study examines the implementation of the BRIDGE model (Build, Reach, Discover, Grow, and Elevate) as a structured business mentoring approach grounded in experiential learning principles. Using a qualitative participatory action research design, the study involved 15 undergraduate business students and five MSMEs in Semarang City, Indonesia. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, reflective journals, and program documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the BRIDGE model facilitates deep experiential learning by enabling students to connect theoretical concepts with contextual business realities, while simultaneously generating instrumental and symbolic benefits for MSME partners. Despite limitations related to program duration, the model demonstrates strong potential as a feasible and transferable framework for experiential business education in emerging economy contexts.
