MODERNITAS KONTEMPORER DAN PROSPEKNYA DALAM ISLAM (BERDASARKAN PEMIKIRAN FAZLUR RAHMAN DALAM ISLAM & MODERNITY)

Abdul Hafith, Taufik, Subhan Abdullah Acim, Jumarim
Abstract: Fazlur Rahman is one of the modern Muslim thinkers who plays an important role in the reconstruction of Islamic thought, especially in responding to the challenges of modernity. He argues that Islam is not a static teaching,… ing, but rather a dynamic value system that must always develop in accordance with the changing times. One of Rahman's main criticisms of the Islamic world is the tendency to understand the Qur'an and Sunnah literally without considering their historical and social context. He offers a double movement methodology, an approach that traces the original meaning of the text in its historical context, then applies it to modern conditions. This approach allows Islam to remain relevant without losing its essence. In addition to the interpretation methodology, Rahman also contributed to the reform of Islamic education, the integration of science with religion, and the reconstruction of Islamic law based on the principle of maqasid al-shariah. He emphasized the importance of reopening the door of ijtihad so that Muslims do not get caught up in taqlid, namely the attitude of accepting Islamic law dogmatically without critical evaluation. Rahman also criticized Islamic fundamentalism which tends to reject modernity absolutely, as well as radical secularism which seeks to eliminate the spiritual aspect of human life. According to him, Muslims must be able to adopt the positive aspects of modernity, such as the development of science and technology, without sacrificing Islamic values. With a more rational and contextual approach, Rahman provides a foundation for Islamic renewal that is not only based on tradition, but also open to the development of the times. His thoughts offer solutions to various global challenges faced by Muslims, including in legal, social, and economic aspects. Thus, modernity is not a threat to Islam, but rather an opportunity to strengthen Islamic values in the lives of contemporary society.

Rahman, Wahyuni, Noholo, Sahmin, Danial, Hendra Pratama
Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of auditor experience and self-efficacy on auditor performance at the Bone Bolango Regency Inspectorate. This study used a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. Data… ata were collected by distributing questionnaires to 38 respondents selected using a census sampling technique (total sampling). Data analysis techniques included classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing (t-tests and F-tests) using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26 software. The results indicate that, partially, auditor experience has no significant effect on auditor performance, while self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on auditor performance. Simultaneously, auditor experience and self-efficacy have a significant effect on auditor performance. The coefficient of determination indicates that 73.1% of the variation in auditor performance can be explained by auditor experience and self-efficacy, while the remaining 26.9% is influenced by factors outside the research model.

EFFECTIVENESS OF DECISIONS IN ABSENTIA IN RECOVERY OF ASSETS FROM CRIMINAL ACTS OF CORRUPTION: A LEGAL REVIEW OF ARTICLE 38 OF THE LAW ON ERADICATION OF CRIMINAL ACTS OF CORRUPTION

Rahman, Faiz Aulia, Atmojo, Bayu Giri, Wahyudi, Slamet Tri
Abstract: This study examines the effectiveness of in absentia judgments in the recovery of assets from corruption crimes based on Article 38 of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes. The background of this study is based… d on the phenomenon of many corruption defendants who are absent from trial, so that the judicial process continues through the in absentia mechanism. However, the effectiveness of such judgments in supporting the recovery of state financial losses remains a problem, especially in the aspects of execution and the return of assets resulting from corruption crimes. This study uses a normative legal method (normative juridical) with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate that normatively, Article 38 of the Anti-Corruption Law provides a valid legal basis for courts to render judgments without the presence of the defendant. However, the effectiveness of such judgments in asset recovery is still not optimal because there are obstacles such as difficulties in tracing assets, transfer of asset ownership, limited coordination among law enforcement institutions, and weak asset tracing mechanisms. In addition, there are also juridical obstacles in the form of the lack of comprehensive technical regulations regarding the execution of assets in in absentia cases. Therefore, strengthening regulations and increasing synergy among law enforcement officers are required so that the objective of recovering state losses can be achieved effectively.

DESIGNING A MICROSOFT EXCEL-BASED COFFEE SALES RECORDING SYSTEM USING INDEX, MATCH, AND SUMIFS FUNCTIONS (Case Study Of PT. DEF)

Anggaini, Risna, Nurrahman, Syafran, Ramadhani, Saskia Nur, Ndaung, Yohana Cesyika
Abstract: • DEF is a company engaged in the sale of coffee, both wholesale and retail. Currently, the sales recording system is still carried out manually, which often leads to problems such as delays in reporting, data entry errors,… rors, and difficulties in retrieving historical information. This study aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the sales recording system by implementing the INDEX MATCH and SUMIFS functions in Microsoft Excel. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation of the existing system. The results show that the use of INDEX MATCH and SUMIFS can accelerate the data retrieval process, improve the accuracy of sales reports, and reduce input errors. This study provides a practical solution for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in implementing an efficient sales recording system without requiring significant investment in ERP software. However, the system still has limitations, such as dependence on Excel files that are vulnerable to damage or unintended changes, and the lack of advanced automation features such as receivables reminders or inter-departmental integration. Therefore, future research is expected to develop a web-based system with a centralized database.

ORGANIZING AND IMPLEMENTING MARKETING OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES IN ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE LITERATURE

Rahman, Zaky, Zohriah, Anis, Muin, Abdul, Uyuni, Yuyun Rohmatul
Abstract: Although the discourse on educational marketing is theoretically established, empirical reality reveals a significant gap between strategic planning and operational execution. This failure is often rooted in weak resource… e organization and the inability to translate strategy into tactical action. This study aims to analyze and compare the organizational patterns and implementation of educational service marketing across institutional levels, including Madrasahs, Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren), and Islamic Higher Education Institutions. Using a library research method, data were collected through a systematic search of current academic literature (2015-2025) by adapting the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) selection flow to ensure data synthesis validity. Comparative analysis reveals distinct organizational model divergences: madrasahs tend to use ad-hoc committee structures, pesantrens rely on the centrality of the Kiai's charismatic leadership as the primary brand ambassador, while higher education institutions are adopting professional, permanent marketing units. Nevertheless, the convergence of success across all three entities lies in the integration of Islamic values within the 7P marketing mix and the vital role of Human Resources as the forefront of service delivery. This study implies the urgency of a managerial transformation from an incidental approach to the institutionalization of sustainable marketing functions to bridge the execution gap and build public trust.

Faisal Hamid, Mhd. Habibu Rahman
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in Islamic Religious Education and its contribution to strengthening students' critical thinking skills at MA Negeri Simalungun. This… is study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were obtained through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning tools and evaluation results. The results showed that the application of PBL in Islamic Religious Education learning can be carried out systematically through the stages of problem orientation, group discussion, investigation, presentation of results, and reflection. The implementation of PBL encourages active student involvement in the learning process and has a positive impact on strengthening critical thinking skills, as evidenced by an increase in students' ability to identify problems, analyze information, evaluate arguments, and draw logical and contextual conclusions based on Islamic values. This study concludes that the Problem-Based Learning method is an effective learning approach to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning and develop students' critical thinking skills in Madrasah Aliyah. Therefore, PBL is recommended as an alternative PAI learning strategy that is relevant to the demands of 21st-century education.

INTERNALIZATION OF METAPHYSICAL VALUES IN ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN THE MODERN ERA

Mega Dini Fitriani, Mhd. Habibu Rahman, Fajar Rahman, Elsa Padia
Abstract: Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in the modern era is often trapped in an approach that is overly textual, dogmatic, and focused solely on legal aspects (fiqh) and rituals. This results in the marginalisation of the metaphysical… aphysical dimensions of Islam—such as the concept of divinity (uluhiyah), the nature of humanity, the unseen world, the purpose of creation, and the spiritual relationship with Allah—which are in fact the foundation of the meaning and intrinsic motivation of all religious teachings. Without the internalisation of these metaphysical values, religious education risks becoming formalistic and unable to respond to existential challenges and spiritual crises amid the onslaught of materialism and secularisation in the modern world. This article aims to analyse the urgency and strategies for internalising metaphysical values within the framework of contemporary Islamic Religious Education, as well as to formulate an approach model relevant to the modern era. This study uses a qualitative method with a philosophical-analytical library research approach. Data were collected from primary sources such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and the works of classical and contemporary Islamic thinkers on education and metaphysics. The analysis was conducted hermeneutically and deductively to develop a conceptual framework. The analysis shows that the internalisation of metaphysical values in PAI is crucial for: (1) building a holistic Islamic worldview, (2) developing a deep spiritual awareness (ihsan), (3) providing a solid moral foundation that transcends positive law, and (4) creating mental-spiritual resilience in facing modern complexities. To achieve this, it is necessary to reorient the PAI curriculum to integrate metaphysical elements through an interdisciplinary approach (linking it to science, psychology, and philosophy), reflective and contemplative learning methods (such as tadabbur and tafakkur), and the use of digital technology as a medium for creative spiritual exploration.

LEGAL PROTECTION FOR VICTIMS WRONGLY ARRESTED IN THE INVESTIGATION PROCESS IN INDONESIA

Burhayan, Mujiburrahman
Abstract: This study discusses legal protection for victims of wrongful arrest during the investigation process in Indonesia. As a state governed by law, Indonesia guarantees the protection of human rights, including for those who… become victims of procedural errors in the justice system. Wrongful arrests constitute a violation of individual freedom and cause physical, psychological, and social suffering. This research employs a normative legal method, drawing on statutory and literature sources. The results show that victims of wrongful arrest are entitled to compensation and rehabilitation, as provided for in the Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) and Law Number 48 of 2009 concerning Judicial Power. However, compensation provided is still limited to material aspects and has not fully restored the victims’ dignity, reputation, and well-being. Therefore, the state must strengthen legal protection mechanisms and ensure that investigations are conducted professionally, transparently, and in accordance with human rights principles to prevent the recurrence of wrongful arrest cases.

Supporting factors for the implementation of the reading literacy strategy include teacher commitment, support for school literacy programs, and the availability of reading materials, while inhibiting factors include the low interest in reading of some students, limited learning time, and the influence of gadget use that has not been optimally controlled. This study concludes that reading literacy strategies have an important role in supporting Indonesian learning and need to be implemented sustainably with the support of various parties.

THE RELEVANCE OF IBNU MISKAWAIH'S THOUGHTS ON CHARACTER EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL MEDIA

Fajar Rahman, Bahtiar Siregar, Elsa Padia, Ulil Amri, Kiki Hardini
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to examine how Ibn Miskawayh’s thoughts on moral education influence the management of moral challenges in the current social media era. Various ethical issues such as cyberbullying, the spread… spread of hoaxes, and the lack of politeness in communication have emerged alongside the increase in digital platform usage, indicating a decline in digital morals. This study is a qualitative research using the library research method. The primary data are drawn from Ibn Miskawayh’s seminal work, Tahdhib al-Akhlaq, which is analyzed using content analysis and descriptive-philosophical methods. The results show that Ibn Miskawayh’s concept of moral education remains relevant as a foundation for digital ethics through three main pillars: first, the concept of al-wasat (moderation) which trains social media users to be wise and proportional in consuming information; second, the strengthening of cognitive power (al-quwwah al-nathiqah) to filter negative content; and third, the formation of character based on internal self-control to achieve justice (‘adalah) when interacting in virtual public spaces. The conclusion of this research confirms that Ibn Miskawayh’s thoughts provide a curative and preventive framework for building a more civilized and ethical digital ecosystem.
