Abstract:Abstract: One of the main challenges in digital image processing is limited resolution, which makes it difficult to preserve visual details when images are enlarged. Conventional methods such as Bilinear Interpolation are…
e commonly used for image upscaling; however, these approaches often produce blurred images, lose fine textures, and fail to reconstruct complex visual structures. This study aims to enhance digital image resolution by employing a deep learni based approach using a Low-Light Convolutional Neural Network (LLCNN) built upon a Deep Neural Network (DNN) architecture. The dataset used in this study is the DIV2K dataset, which consists of 1,000 high-resolution images. These images were downsampled using scaling factors of ×2, ×3, and ×4 to generate paired Low Resolution–High Resolution (LR–HR) data for training and evaluation. The proposed LLCNN is designed to extract important features such as edges, textures, and local patterns through multiple convolutional layers, followed by non-linear mapping to reconstruct high-resolution images more accurately. Quantitative performance evaluation was conducted using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and the Structural Similarity Index (SSIM). Model performance was evaluated quantitatively using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) metric. Experimental results showed that the proposed method improved image quality compared to the bilinear method. These results indicate that the deep learning based approach effectively improves image sharpness and structural fidelity, thereby demonstrating its potential for digital image resolution enhancement.

atabase design can lead to data duplication, relational violations, and transaction failures that compromise system reliability. This study designed the Royal Mengajar application using PHP and MySQL, supported by JavaScript, HTML, and Bootstrap 5. The Crowdsourced Academic Content model enables lecturers to contribute learning materials openly, while students evaluate them through a user rating system. The objective of this research is to design and optimize the database architecture of the Royal Mengajar application by implementing multiple control mechanisms—namely views, triggers, transactions, and constraints—to enhance data efficiency, consistency, and integrity in digital learning environments. Database optimization focuses on the use of views to improve query efficiency, triggers to maintain automatic consistency, transactions to ensure atomicity in multi-table operations, and constraints to preserve data integrity. The results show that views reduced the average query execution time to 0.12 seconds, triggers maintained consistency without manual intervention, and constraints achieved 100% referential integrity. The application of these mechanisms significantly improved system speed, reduced data redundancy, and enhanced information reliability, thus reinforcing the sustainability of Royal Mengajar as a community-driven learning platform

Abstract:Many mechanical systems with elastic and damping properties are prone to resonant phenomena at natural frequencies under the action of external forces. Resonance phenomena can also be preserved in control systems of such…
objects closed by negative feedback, which reduces the quality of the functioning of these systems. The paper under review deals with the practically important problem of suppressing oscillations at natural frequencies in control systems for a linear oscillator, which is traditionally considered a dynamic object described by a second-order differential equation with complex roots of the characteristic equation. The focus of the work is the question of the roughness of the system in relation to inaccurate knowledge of the resonant frequency of the controlled object (which is typical for many technical applications).
Abstract:Lingga Village in Karo Regency, North Sumatra, is a cultural village that preserves the traditional architecture of the Karo people, particularly the Siwaluh Jabu traditional house, which reflects the community’s life philosophy,…
philosophy, social order, and spirituality. The surrounding environment of these traditional houses remains poorly organized, with vacant land left unmanaged and declining awareness of cultural preservation, resulting in suboptimal utilization of the area’s aesthetic value, cultural function, and tourism potential. This community service program aims to arrange a cultural garden around the traditional houses while empowering the local community to manage the cultural landscape in a sustainable manner, with a focus on preserving cultural identity, improving environmental quality, and strengthening the local economy through the development of cultural tourism and agrotourism. The implementation method adopts a community-based participatory approach, carried out through several stages: site observation and mapping, focus group discussions, planning and designing the cultural garden, training and knowledge transfer, collective implementation of garden arrangement, as well as evaluation and documentation. The garden design integrates the orientation of the Siwaluh Jabu house, the cosmological meaning of space, ecological landscape principles, and the selection of local vegetation with symbolic, aesthetic, and economic value, organized into aesthetic, educational, and productive zones. The results of the program indicate the establishment of a well-arranged cultural garden rich in Karo cultural symbols, increased community capacity and participation, and the creation of a sustainable cultural landscape management model that functions as a “living laboratory” combining aesthetic, educational, economic, and spiritual roles. This model positions the community as the main actor and holds potential to be replicated in other cultural villages with similar characteristics.

out every stage of the ritual. The community demonstrates a high spirit of gotong royong (mutual cooperation), reflected in the clear distribution of roles among traditional leaders, youth figures, and women. This collective cooperation encompasses everything from ritual logistical preparations to the execution of core processions, which directly strengthens social cohesion and solidarity among residents. Substantially, this tradition serves as a space for articulating local cultural identity, bridging material and spiritual dimensions where reverence for ancestors and nature remains a central value. The intergenerational distribution of responsibilities ensures that every community member feels a profound sense of belonging toward the preservation of this local wisdom. Consequently, the Hape Nulif ritual becomes a crucial instrument in bolstering cultural resilience amidst modernization, while reaffirming the position of the Duawutun community as one that steadfastly upholds noble human values and togetherness within a sacred traditional framework.

Abstract:The purpose of this article is to investigate the methods by which Batak Toba women in Habeahan Naburahan Village, Samosir Regency, resist the concealed practice of marpariban matchmaking. As part of the Batak Toba kinship…
ip structure, Marpariban matching is a traditional practice that places women in a position where they are unable to select their life partners. A form of resistance that is not overtly articulated has emerged as a result of this. Information was gathered using descriptive qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. Relevant data and information are provided by informants who are Batak Toba women in the village of Habeahan Naburahan who have firsthand experience with the Marpariban matchmaking practice and family members who participate in the customary matchmaking procedure. The findings and analysis revealed that the Batak Toba women in this hamlet oppose this matchmaking practice through covert resistance. Some of these behaviors are putting off arranged marriages for school or work reasons, using religious legitimacy as a reason to say no without directly confronting the person, formally accepting arranged marriages with a passive attitude and little emotional involvement, and not talking openly about marriage plans. James C. Scott's theory of resistance says that these activities show that there is concealed resistance, or a sort of resistance that happens while people follow the rules. This suggests that Batak Toba women tend to use subtle opposition as a tactic to preserve their independence inside the patriarchal system rather than openly rejecting the Marpariban norm
Abstract:This study investigates the rhetorical and discourse functions of repetition in the English translation of Surah Al-Mursalat by M.A.S. Abdel Haleem, focusing on the refrain “Woe on that Day to those who denied the truth.”…
h.” Using a qualitative descriptive method grounded in stylistics and discourse analysis, the study explores how this fixed phrase, repeated ten times across the chapter, operates at multiple linguistic levels. The analysis reveals that the refrain serves three interrelated functions: stylistically, it foregrounds divine warning and creates rhythmic cohesion; structurally, it segments the surah into thematic units and signals discourse boundaries; rhetorically, it intensifies condemnation and engages the reader emotionally through cumulative repetition. Abdel Haleem’s consistent rendering of the refrain retains these functions effectively, unlike other translations that introduce lexical variation. The findings demonstrate that repetition in Qur’anic translation is not merely ornamental but performs essential linguistic and communicative roles. This study contributes to Qur’anic stylistics, translation studies, and discourse analysis by showing that sacred texts, when translated with rhetorical sensitivity, can preserve the stylistic integrity of the original.
