Development Of A Non-Intrusive RFID Elevator Access Control System For Residential Buildings

Parade Parsaulian Purba, Vivin Octowinandi, Prasaja Wikanta, Muhammad Arifin
Abstract: This study developed and evaluated a standalone, non-intrusive radio frequency identification (RFID)-based elevator access control system for a four-story residential building. The system used an Arduino Uno, an MFRC522… RFID reader, and relay interfaces to regulate access to Floors 2, 3, and 4. Authorized card identifiers and floor permissions were stored locally, enabling offline operation without an external database or network connection. The relays interfaced only with the elevator push-button circuits and did not modify the original controller, motor drive, door mechanism, or safety system. Performance was evaluated using 47 registered cards and three unregistered cards, with each card tested 50 times, producing 2,500 authentication trials. Under the tested conditions, all registered cards were correctly authenticated according to their assigned floor permissions, while all unregistered cards were rejected. The system achieved 100% authentication accuracy, 100% correct relay activation, and 100% unauthorized-card rejection. Stable card detection was obtained at distances of up to approximately 1 cm. The first-floor button remained independent of the RFID module to preserve minimum accessibility during module failure. The proposed system provides a practical and low-cost retrofit solution for floor-specific elevator access control in small residential buildings.

THE SCIENCE OF ABROGATION (ABROGATION): MODERN CRITIQUE

Muhammedh, Dheen
Abstract: Abrogation (abrogation) holds a central, vexed position in Islamic legal-theological hermeneutics. Classical uṣūl al-fiqh elaborated a technical theory of abrogation that attempted to mediate the diachronic process of revelation… revelation and the demands of fixity of legal judgment (ḥukm). Tradition receipts that later scripture abrogates earlier scripture wherever actual, unavoidable contradiction is found, classically expressed as "al-nāsikh wa-l-mansūkh.". Pre-modern thinkers classified modes and cases of abrogation, inferred them from revelational phases, and counted suspected cases throughout the Qur'an and Sunna. Modern scholarship avoids both epistemic pretensions and hyperbolic earlier assertions of abrogation. The article tracks early meanings, introduces intratraditional caution that moderated abrogation, and evaluates recent re-analyses based on coherence theory, maqāṣid (purposes), historicization in context, and ethics. It argues that abrogation was included in pre-modern dogmatics as a component of a package of other hermeneutical strategies (specification, restriction, prioritization, suspension) and that available resources allow for a less ambitious, economy-of-means approach. A renovated dogma leaner, evidence-based, and syncretized with maqāṣid and semantics can ensure the normativity of revelation and make the law more attentive to modern moral concerns, such as gender justice, religious pluralism, and violence. The paper reaches its climax with the proposal of a "manifest conflict resolution" regime. where abrogation is held in reserve as a last resort and not the initial starting point and has ramification for legal rulings (fatwā), legal codification and education more widely. FACTOR OF SAFETY AND PROBABILITY OF FAILURE ASSESSMENT OF ROCK SLOPES IN ARTISANAL KAOLIN MINE USING LIMIT EQUILIBRIUM METHOD AND MONTE CARLO SIMULATION

Rianse, Mohammad Suriyaidulman
Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the stability of three rock slopes in an artisanal kaolin mine in Semin, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, using deterministic and probabilistic approaches, and to identify the geotechnical… parameters most influencing slope stability. The evaluation is conducted in compliance with Indonesian Mining Regulation (Kepmen ESDM No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018) to provide quantitative geotechnical evidence for a mine that has been operated without prior formal geotechnical assessment. Field data were collected using the scanline method to characterize rock mass discontinuities. Laboratory tests comprising direct shear and physical properties tests were conducted to determine cohesion (c), friction angle (ϕ), and unit weight (γ) for each slope. Seismic coefficient (ks = 0,0913) was incorporated as a dynamic loading parameter. Slope stability was analyzed using the General Limit Equilibrium (GLE) method to obtain the deterministic Factor of Safety (FoS). Monte Carlo simulation (N = 10.000 iterations) was applied to determine the Probability of Failure (PoF), coefficient of variation of FoS (CoV), and reliability index (β). Sensitivity analysis was performed to quantify the contribution of each geotechnical parameter to FoS reduction. Results show that FoS values ranged from 2,019 (Slope III) to 10,55 (Slope II), all exceeding the regulatory minimum of 1,1. The PoF was 0,00% for all three slopes, well below the maximum allowable limit of 25%, with reliability indices ranging from 5,70 to 31,38. The CoV of FoS ranged from 3% to 9%, indicating low dispersion in stability outcomes despite parameter variability. Sensitivity analysis identified cohesion as the most dominant parameter in Slopes I and II, contributing 28% and 31% to FoS reduction respectively, while Slope III exhibited near-equal contributions from cohesion (20%) and friction angle (21%), reflecting its lower shear strength conditions. All three slopes satisfy the acceptance criteria of Kepmen ESDM No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018 under current geotechnical and geometric conditions. The combined deterministic-probabilistic approach provides a more comprehensive slope safety assessment than deterministic analysis alone and is recommended for application in artisanal kaolin mining operations. Cohesion is identified as the critical parameter to be monitored and preserved to maintain slope stability.

The Effects of Market Access and Logistics Efficiency on The Competitiveness of Salt Farmers in Jeneponto Regency

Aswar, Nurul Fadilah, Hasmyati, Anwar, Nur Indah Atifah, Parawansa, Dian Anggraece Sigit, Musa, Muhammad Ichwan
Abstract: constrained by limited buyer options, price-information gaps, high distribution costs, inadequate storage facilities, and fragmented product flows. This study examines the effects of market access and logistics efficiency… y on the competitiveness of salt farmers. A quantitative explanatory survey was conducted with 100 active salt farmers. The three constructs were measured using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression. Market access had a positive and statistically significant effect on competitiveness (p < 0.05), indicating that broader buyer networks, timely price information, alternative marketing channels, and stronger negotiating opportunities improve farmers’ ability to reach markets and sustain sales. Logistics efficiency also had a positive and significant effect (p < 0.05); reliable transportation, lower distribution costs, appropriate storage, proper handling, and shorter delivery times help preserve quality and reduce avoidable losses. The simultaneous test confirmed that both variables jointly affected competitiveness (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that increasing production alone is insufficient when farmers cannot reach profitable markets through efficient product flows. Collective marketing, transparent market information, shared storage, coordinated transportation, and direct relationships with processing industries are therefore essential for strengthening farmers’ bargaining power and market performance

Rinaldy, Andi Adriyanto, Rahmatullah, Tuti Supatminingsih, Mustari, Muhammad Dinar
Abstract: Songkok Recca Nur Azizah is a business located in Bone Regency that produces traditional handcrafts in the form of traditional headgear characteristic of the Bugis tribe, South Sulawesi. However, amidst modern market competition,… petition, this traditional craft business faces challenges in optimizing its marketing mix strategy. This study analyzes the implementation of the 7Ps marketing mix strategy in the Nur Azizah Songkok Recca Enterprise in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the enterprise has implemented the seven elements of the marketing mix, namely product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence. Product variety and artisan skills represent the main strengths of the business, while limited digital promotion, conventional payment systems, simple packaging, and a deteriorated business signboard remain key constraints. The study suggests that the enterprise should strengthen digital marketing, adopt cashless payment options, improve product packaging, and renew its physical identity to enhance competitiveness. These findings provide practical insights for culture-based MSMEs seeking to preserve traditional products while adapting to contemporary market changes.

Resilience of Indonesian Stock Market to Fed Policy

Rahmat, Muhammad Rijal Alim, Burhamzah, Rahmat
Abstract: This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of literature (2015-2025) on Indonesian stock market resilience to Federal Reserve monetary policy shocks. Data were collected from Google Scholar using Publish or Perish 8 with… h relevant keywords. A total of 82 publications with 476 citations (h-index = 9) were identified. VOSviewer was used for bibliometric analysis to map keyword co-occurrence in titles and abstracts. Network visualization revealed three dominant clusters: (1) Federal Reserve monetary policy and capital flow spillovers, (2) market volatility and investor behavior, and (3) financial resilience and domestic policy responses. The overlay timeline indicated a shift from spillover and volatility issues in mid-decade to resilience topics in recent years. The literature suggests that while the Indonesian stock market remains sensitive to Fed rate changes, it has shown growing resilience due to proactive domestic policy interventions
