h the analysis of employs panel data covering 32 provinces in Indonesia from 2011 to 2021. The research findings indicate that population density, agricultural land, and FDI have a positive influence on deforestation in Indonesia, while GRDP per capita exhibits a negative correlation. Behind the research findings affirming the factors contributing to deforestation in Indonesia, government policies also play the most significant role in controlling the deforestation trend in Indonesia, either exacerbating or ameliorating the state of forests.
Abstract:Indonesia is known for its rich agriculture, and rice is the staple food of the Indonesian people. The production of rice comes from rice fields, which are often managed by their owners or tenant farmers. However, not all…
l rice field owners can efficiently manage their resources, which is why they can involve rice cultivators to help them out. The relationship between the owner of the rice fields and the tenant farmers is divided into two types of cooperation: maro and mertelu. Additionally, this type of cooperation can also be carried out in dry land areas, such as coconut plantations, coffee plantations, and more. This study focuses on the actors involved in maro and mertelu agreements in Banyumas Regency, Cilacap Regency, Kebumen Regency, Banjarnegara Regency, and Purbalingga Regency. The population size of this study is unknown, but based on calculations, a minimum sample size of 97 respondents is required. The criterion for selecting respondents is that they have entered into a maro or mertelu agreement and reside in one of the aforementioned regencies. The findings of the study indicate that individuals who have entered into maro or mertelu agreements do so for a variety of reasons. These reasons include supplementing their income to meet basic and other needs, ensuring they have a job and are not unemployed, and following the orders of the landowner. Some individuals also participate in these agreements because they are unable to purchase their own rice fields and want to work in the industry, while others do so to help those in need.

Abstract:This study aims to describe the effect of a cybergogy-based approach supported by an e-module in fostering students’ digital literacy on the topic of mixture separation. Motivated by the demands of Industry 4.0/Society 5.0…
5.0 and low literacy outcomes (e.g., PISA 2022) as well as preliminary findings at SMP Negeri 1 Bagor—where only 50% of students surpassed the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 70 in science—the research employed a pre-experimental one-shot case study design with 32 Grade VIII-D students. Digital-literacy performance was measured through a verified posttest and analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Shapiro–Wilk testing indicated non-normality, so a Wilcoxon test was conducted against the KKM benchmark. The mean posttest score was 82.28 (min 75.00; max 91.66), with average achievement across components of 79% (high category); hypertext navigation was the strongest component (94%, very high), while content evaluation was the weakest (64%, high). The Wilcoxon test yielded Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) < 0.001, indicating a significant improvement relative to the benchmark. These findings suggest that the cybergogy-assisted e-module is effective for cultivating students’ digital literacy in mixture separation, with device-access constraints noted as a practical limitation for future implementations.
Abstract:This study aims to evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of ScienceDirect subscriptions at Universitas Terbuka during the 2024–2026 period by examining research productivity, publication characteristics, and scholarly…
y impact beyond conventional usage statistics. Rather than assessing subscription value solely through download counts, this study adopts a value-based assessment approach that integrates research performance indicators. A quantitative descriptive design with a bibliometric approach was employed. The dataset comprised 31 Scopus-indexed publications affiliated with Universitas Terbuka published between 2024 and 2026. Data were analyzed using publication productivity, citation performance, publication outlets, publisher distribution, and collaboration patterns. The findings indicate relatively stable research productivity, with 12 publications in 2024, 10 in 2025, and 9 in 2026. Publications were disseminated across various international publishers, predominantly Emerald, Turkish Online Journal of Distance Education, AIP Publishing, and Springer Nature, while no publication in the analyzed dataset appeared in Elsevier journals hosted on ScienceDirect. These findings suggest that the primary value of ScienceDirect lies not in serving as a publication destination but in functioning as a strategic knowledge infrastructure that supports literature discovery, research design, and scholarly writing. Consequently, evaluating subscription ROI should extend beyond COUNTER usage statistics and incorporate research productivity, citation impact, collaboration, and alternative metrics to capture broader institutional benefits. This study contributes a multidimensional framework for assessing electronic resource investments in academic libraries and provides empirical evidence to support evidence-based collection management and research policy in open and distance higher education institutions.

Advancements in information and communication technology have increased social media usage but also created risks regarding the misuse of personal data, including via WhatsApp. This study aims to analyze fraud involving the misuse of personal data on WhatsApp within the Indonesian legal system and the criminal liability of perpetrators under prevailing legislation. The research employs a normative legal method utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches, with qualitative analysis of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The findings indicate that the misuse of personal data via WhatsApp typically occurs through phishing, identity theft, account takeovers, and the unlawful use of personal information. Legal protections are established under Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection, Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, and the Criminal Code. Based on Roeslan Salehs theory of criminal liability, a perpetrator can be held liable if the elements of the criminal offense are met, the individual possesses the capacity for liability, fault is established, and there are no grounds for justification or excuse. However, implementation faces challenges such as low digital literacy, evolving cybercrime methods, and suboptimal law enforcement. Therefore, enhancing digital literacy and the effectiveness of law enforcement is essential to strengthen personal data protection.
