Abstract: The Umayyad dynasty which rule from 661 AD from 750 AD,stands as a pivotal period in early islamic history leaving a diverse and influential cultural legacy that persists into the modern era .This research aims to explore… e how to the cultural heritage of the umayyads remains relevant of the context modern world,particularly in the fields of art and  architecture.The Umayyad dynasty is renowned for estabilishing a strong empire that encompassed vast territories from the Middle East to Andalusia in Spain.Calliph Abdul Malik ibn Marwan , a prominent figure of the time,introduced the Umayyad Dinar as the official currency and initiated the monumental project Dome of The Rock in Jerusalem,which continues to be one of the most significant symbols of Islamic architecture.Umayyad architeture reflects a blend of Roman, Persian , and newly introduced islamic elements.Their distinctive of domes, calligraphy,and intricate mosaics has deeply inspired modern artists and architect. This study explores how the cultural values from the past continue to inspire and shape contemporary works.By considering the global impact  of Umayyad heritage, we can understand how continuity and evolution in human history occur through the development of art,architecture and values systems.Through this analysis, we highlight the importance of understanding how cultural values from the past can reinterpreted in different contexts to support the evolution of an inclusive and sustainable cultural future.

Epistemologi Sejarah Dalam Buku The Logic Of History Putting Postmodernism In Perspective: Tinjauan Kritis Atas Justifikasi Deskripsi Masa Lalu Melalui Perspektif Michael Stanford Dan Pemikir Sejarah Kontemporer

Abstract: Penelitian ini menganalisis epistemologi sejarah yang diusulkan oleh C. Behan McCullagh dalam bukunya The Logic of History: Putting Postmodernism in Perspective, khususnya pada bab "Justifying Descriptions of the Past,"… dengan membandingkannya secara kritis dengan perspektif Michael Stanford dan pemikir sejarah kontemporer seperti Hayden White, E.H. Carr, dan Peter Burke. McCullagh menekankan tanggung jawab sosial sejarawan untuk menghasilkan deskripsi masa lalu yang kredibel melalui justifikasi rasional, metode inferensi (langsung, penjelasan terbaik, dan hibrida), serta generalisasi seperti hukum. Namun, Stanford mengkritik pendekatan ini dengan menegaskan bahwa sejarah selalu melibatkan subjektivitas sejarawan, yang dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai pribadi dan konteks budaya, sehingga klaim kebenaran sejarah selalu problematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kritis teks dengan pendekatan filosofis-historiografis, mengidentifikasi kelemahan dan kekuatan argumen McCullagh serta mengkonfrontasikannya dengan kritik-kritik yang diajukan oleh Stanford dan pemikir lain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun McCullagh memberikan kerangka metodologis yang sistematis, pendekatannya dianggap terlalu kaku dan mengabaikan kompleksitas konteks historis, dinamika sosial, serta keragaman perspektif. Kesimpulannya, epistemologi sejarah perlu lebih memperhatikan subjektivitas, konteks, dan keterbatasan klaim kebenaran dalam penulisan sejarah.

Government Digital Marketing Communications for Tourism Development in Bejijong Village

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the tourism potential and marketing strategies in Bejijong Village, a village with a rich history and culture from the Majapahit Kingdom era located in Mojokerto Regency, East Java Province. This… is study explores how village managers conduct managerial and marketing activities to attract tourists and promote local products. The research method involves a SWOT analysis to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the Marketing Mix’s 7P approach implemented by the village. The results of the study indicate that Bejijong Village has several significant advantages, including historical heritage such as Brahu Temple, Petilasan Siti Inggil, and Maha Vihara Majapahit, as well as local products such as smoked salted eggs, lemon juice, pukis lumer (melting) bertoping, tahu lontong (compress rice), and Cempaka batik handicrafts and wayang kulit. However, the challenges faced include less than optimal website management, lack of effective digital marketing strategies, and entrance fees that may be insufficient to support maintenance. This study introduces novelty in marketing strategy analysis by integrating the SWOT and Marketing Mix’s 7P approaches to provide in-depth insights into how management and marketing can be improved. These findings are expected to be a reference for other villages in designing more effective marketing strategies and suggesting improvement steps that can increase the attractiveness and sustainability of culture-based tourist destinations. Eduhistory Dan Ekowisata: Menghubungkan Wisata, Sejarah Dan Lingkungan Dalam Melihat Perebutan Ruang Di Tallo

Abstract: Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak aktivitas merusak lingkungan, betonisasi pesisir, dan pembangunan pabrik industri terhadap masyarakat dan lingkungan di Kecamatan Tallo. Aktivitas ini menimbulkan ancaman signifikan terhadap… erhadap keseimbangan ekosistem dan warisan budaya lokal. Metode penelitian kuantitatif diterapkan melalui pendekatan pendidikan, lingkungan, dan sejarah. Survei digunakan untuk mengukur pengetahuan masyarakat tentang dampak lingkungan dan sejarah, serta untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program edukasi seperti Eduhistory dalam meningkatkan kesadaran. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi perubahan kualitas lingkungan, akses nelayan, dan kondisi situs sejarah yang terancam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas merusak lingkungan dan betonisasi pesisir menyebabkan penurunan kualitas air, keberagaman hayati, dan akses perahu nelayan, sementara pembangunan pabrik industri mengancam situs sejarah yang berharga. Program edukasi menunjukkan hasil positif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat, namun masih terdapat kekurangan dalam penerapan pengetahuan tersebut dalam praktik pelestarian. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan kebijakan yang lebih ketat, peningkatan pelatihan untuk masyarakat, dan integrasi pelestarian budaya dalam perencanaan pembangunan untuk mengatasi tantangan ini secara efektif.ini secara efektif.

CURRICULUM REFORM IN INDONESIA

Abstract: Abstrak Artikel ini memberikan gambaran tentang sejarah reformasi kurikulum di Indonesia, kondisi kurikulum saat ini, proses reformasi kurikulum, serta tantangan dan implikasi penerapan Kurikulum baru. Artikel tersebut berpendapat… erpendapat bahwa reformasi kurikulum sangat penting bagi sistem pendidikan Indonesia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan siswanya dan mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Sistem pendidikan Indonesia menghadapi beberapa tantangan, khususnya di bidang kurikulum. Salah satu permasalahan utamanya adalah tidak adanya keselarasan antara kurikulum dan kebutuhan tenaga kerja, sehingga terjadi ketidaksesuaian antara keterampilan yang diajarkan di sekolah dengan yang dibutuhkan oleh pasar tenaga kerja. Selain itu, sistem pendidikan telah dikritik karena penekanannya yang berat pada hafalan dan hafalan, yang dipandang sebagai penghalang pengembangan pemikiran kritis dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah di kalangan siswa. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, telah dilakukan berbagai upaya untuk mereformasi kurikulum selama bertahun-tahun. Reformasi kurikulum terbaru, Kurikulum 2013, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan relevansi kurikulum dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja, mempromosikan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah, serta membekali siswa dengan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk abad ke-21. Namun, penerapan Kurikulum baru menghadapi beberapa tantangan, termasuk pelatihan guru yang tidak memadai, kurangnya sumber daya, dan penolakan dari pemangku kepentingan. Artikel ini diakhiri dengan menyoroti perlunya upaya berkelanjutan untuk memastikan keberhasilan penerapan Kurikulum baru dan memaksimalkan potensi dampaknya terhadap kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.    Abstract This article provides an overview of the history of curriculum reform in Indonesia, the current state of the curriculum, the process of curriculum reform, and the challenges and implications of implementing the new Curriculum. The article argues that curriculum reform is crucial for Indonesia's education system to meet the needs of its students and prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century. The Indonesian education system has been facing several challenges, particularly in the area of curriculum. One of the main issues is the lack of alignment between the curriculum and the needs of the workforce, resulting in a mismatch between the skills taught in schools and those required by the labor market. Moreover, the education system has been criticized for its heavy emphasis on rote learning and memorization, which has been seen as a barrier to the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. To address these challenges and improve the quality of education in Indonesia, there have been multiple attempts to reform the curriculum over the years. The most recent curriculum reform, the 2013 Curriculum, aims to improve the relevance of the curriculum to the needs of the workforce, promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and equip students with the skills required for the 21st century. However, the implementation of the new Curriculum has faced several challenges, including inadequate teacher training, lack of resources, and resistance from stakeholders. The article concludes by highlighting the need for continued efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the new Curriculum and maximize its potential impact on the quality of education in Indonesia.

Java Island is economically one of the important areas for the operation of economic activities in Indonesia.
