Strategies for Developing Technical Competence and Soft Skills in Improving Customer Service Quality at NJS Alumunium Bandung

Abstract: The manufacturing sector in Indonesia, particularly within the aluminum fabrication and extrusion industry, is currently navigating a period of intense structural transition. Historically characterized by a focus on physical… ical output and technical specifications, enterprises are now increasingly compelled to adopt a service-dominant logic to maintain competitive viability. This research report investigates the strategic implementation of human resource development programs at NJS Alumunium, focusing on the dual-pathway integration of technical competence (hard skills) and interpersonal proficiencies (soft skills). Utilizing the SERVQUAL framework as a primary evaluative tool, the analysis explores how specific technical abilities, such as CNC machining, precision welding, and CAD design, intersect with soft skills like emotional intelligence, communication, and proactive problem-solving to drive customer satisfaction. The study synthesizes data from contemporary Indonesian industrial policies, including "Making Indonesia 4.0," and academic frameworks such as Workplace Learning (WPL) and Total Quality Management (TQM). Findings indicate that while technical mastery is a prerequisite for entry into the high-end aluminum market, soft skills serve as the critical differentiator in fostering customer loyalty and bridging the gap between expectation and perception. The report further details the role of management information systems, the impact of local cultural paternalism in leadership, and the emergence of green capabilities as essential components of a modern competency strategy. The proposed developmental model advocates for a continuous, mentored, and digitally-enabled training ecosystem that aligns organizational capabilities with the sophisticated demands of both domestic and international consumers.

PEANUT SHELLING MACHINE USING A PETROL ENGINE

Abstract: This study discusses a peanut shelling machine driven by a gasoline-engineered motor . In Indonesia, many processed peanut products require peanuts as a component, such as salted peanuts, peanut oil, peanut paste, peanut… tofu, and others. Manual peanut shelling is usually inefficient and time-consuming. Therefore, with this machine, which can automatically peel peanuts, it will greatly help save time and increase production capacity. Based on planning calculations for the planned components, the following data was obtained: Gasoline engine used = 5.5 Hp , Pad = 6005 , Belt length to peeler = 65 inches , Belt length to blower = 25 inches , Diameter pulley blower = 4 inches , Pulley diameter peeler = 11 inches , Diameter pulley driver = 2 inches . After analyzing the production/manufacturing costs of this machine, the price for manufacturing 1 peanut peeling machine was Rp4,019,372.24 .

Innovation in Designing a 500 kg Capacity Passenger Elevator in a Multi-Storey Building: A Study at Suzuya

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and design the working system of a passenger elevator, including the working mechanism of the elevator, the design of the lifting system, the calculation of cage capacity, the design of power and… nd the selection of the main drive motor, the calculation of the main components, the design of the transmission, the calculation of maintenance costs, the selection of component materials, and the creation of technical drawings. The design results show that the specifications of the drive motor used have a power of 6.28 Hp with a rotation of 800 rpm, a lifting speed of 15 m/min, and a lifting capacity of 500 kg. The shaft components are designed using S45C carbon steel, with details of Shaft I with a diameter of 24 mm, Shaft II with a diameter of 41 mm, and Shaft III with a diameter of 41 mm. The gears consist of Gear I with a pitch circle diameter of 42 mm, a circle diameter of 37 mm, a head circle diameter of 46 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 21 teeth; Gear II with a pitch circle diameter of 210 mm, a circle diameter of 205 mm, a head circle diameter of 214 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 105 teeth; Gear III with a pitch circle diameter of 68 mm, a circle diameter of 63 mm, a head circle diameter of 108 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 34 teeth; and Gear IV with a pitch circle diameter of 270 mm, a circle diameter of 265.5 mm, a head circle diameter of 270 mm, a width of 16 mm, and 21 teeth. Tinjauan Hukum Administrasi Negara Terhadap Efektivitas Pemungutan Retribusi Sampah Berdasarkan Perda Bangkalan No. 1 Tahun 2024

Abstract: AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas pemungutan retribusi pelayanan persampahan di Kabupaten Bangkalan pasca berlakunya Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Bangkalan Nomor 1 Tahun 2024 tentang Pajak Daerah dan Retribusi… ribusi Daerah. Melalui pendekatan Hukum Administrasi Negara, kajian ini membedah keabsahan wewenang, instrumen yuridis, dan hambatan operasional Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Bangkalan. Analisis dilakukan dengan menerapkan teori kewenangan Philipus M. Hadjon, teori instrumen pemerintahan Ridwan HR, serta teori efektivitas hukum Soerjono Soekanto. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa rencana penerapan retribusi sampah bagi dapur Program Makan Bergizi Gratis sebesar dua ratus ribu rupiah per bulan berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 3 Tahun 2024 dan Peraturan Bupati Nomor 9 Tahun 2025 belum berjalan efektif. Tingkat kepatuhan wajib retribusi sangat rendah karena hanya sekitar dua puluh pelaksana yang melakukan pembayaran. Penyebab utama meliputi ketidakjelasan skema pelayanan akibat tarif yang tidak mencakup biaya pengangkutan sampah, kelumpuhan infrastruktur di Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir Buluh, dan lemahnya penegakan sanksi administratif oleh aparat pemungut. Situasi ini memicu tindakan kedinasan non-prosedural serta konflik sosial-ekologis dengan masyarakat desa setempat. Guna menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan klarifikasi skema pelayanan yang mencakup seluruh komponen biaya, rehabilitasi infrastruktur pemrosesan sampah, serta penguatan penegakan sanksi administratif untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan dan efektivitas pemungutan retribusi. AbstractThis study aims to examine the effectiveness of waste service retribution collection in Bangkalan Regency following the enactment of Bangkalan Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2024 concerning Regional Taxes and Retributions. Using an Administrative Law approach, this research analyzes the legitimacy of authority, juridical instruments, and operational obstacles faced by the Environmental Agency of Bangkalan Regency. The analysis applies Philipus M. Hadjon’s theory of authority, Ridwan HR’s theory of government instruments, and Soerjono Soekanto’s theory of legal effectiveness. The findings reveal that the planned implementation of a waste retribution fee of two hundred thousand rupiah per month for kitchens under the Free Nutritious Meals Program (Program Makan Bergizi Gratis), based on Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2024 and Regent Regulation Number 9 of 2025, has not been effective. The level of compliance among retribution payers remains very low, with only approximately twenty operators making payments. The main causes include unclear service schemes due to tariffs that do not cover waste transportation costs, the dysfunction of infrastructure at the Buluh Final Processing Site (Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir Buluh), and weak enforcement of administrative sanctions by collection officers. This situation has triggered non-procedural administrative actions and socio-ecological conflicts with local village communities. To address these issues, it is necessary to clarify the service scheme to include all cost components, rehabilitate waste processing infrastructure, and strengthen the enforcement of administrative sanctions in order to improve compliance and the overall effectiveness of retribution collection. Strengthening Geospatial-Based Maritime Surveillance: A Case Study of Adaptation to Extreme Weather in Critical Shipping Lanes

Abstract: The Malacca Strait is a vital maritime route that faces significant challenges from high traffic volumes and increasingly frequent extreme weather scenarios. These conditions pose serious risks to navigational safety, environmental… vironmental integrity, and maritime operational security. This study aims to analyse the needs and components of a robust maritime surveillance architecture in the Malacca Strait, particularly in dealing with the impacts of extreme weather and climate change. Additionally, this research will explore the role of geospatial maritime intelligence in enhancing situational awareness and response to maritime incidents. The study findings indicate that a resilient surveillance architecture in the Malacca Strait requires the integration of advanced sensor systems (including multi-spectral radar and meteorological/oceanographic sensors), redundant communication networks, and AI/ML-based intelligent data processing. The adaptive capabilities of the system, including the use of UAVs and USVs, are critical to maintaining operational effectiveness in adverse weather conditions. Additionally, international cooperation and a robust policy framework, encompassing climate change adaptation and ethical considerations, are fundamental to the successful implementation and sustainability of surveillance systems. The Malacca Strait case study highlights specific vulnerabilities and proposes concrete solutions, illustrating a shift from a reactive to a proactive paradigm in maritime security. Building a resilient surveillance architecture in the Malacca Strait is a strategic imperative to safeguard global trade, regional stability, and environmental sustainability amid increasing climate uncertainty. Integrating cutting-edge technology with robust policies and international collaboration will ensure the safety and security of this vital waterway, making it a model for resilient maritime governance globally. A new aspect emphasised is the importance of adapting to climate change and the role of AI in predictive decision-making. This article presents a comprehensive and integrated approach to building a resilient maritime surveillance architecture, with a particular focus on the challenges of extreme weather in the Malacca Strait. Its originality lies in its emphasis on multi-sensor data fusion, the role of artificial intelligence in predictive analytics, and the integration of climate change adaptation into surveillance system design. Additionally, the article underscores the importance of a robust policy framework and international cooperation as the cornerstones of maritime surveillance resilience, offering a blueprint applicable to other critical maritime routes worldwide

Abstract: This article examines how the novel Meet You in the Middle by Devon Daniels portrays the reason for consummate love that causes a long term relationship, which consists of component love of intimacy, passion, and commitment… ent in Triangular Theory of Love by Sternberg. Then, the reason is rooted in interpretation of empathy. Empathy is a physiological reaction that has three components, they are emotional, cognitive, and motivational. It helps people to understand, feel, and care about others, even if it is sometimes hard. The novel tells the story of Kate Adam and Ben Mackenzie, who are liberal and conservative Senate staffers, respectively, and who fall in love despite their ideological differences and professional rivalry. The article analyzes how the novel depicts the challenges and benefits of empathizing with a romantic partner who has opposing political views, and how empathy contributes to the development and maintenance of consummate love. Then, it concludes that the novel offers a hopeful and realistic message that consummate love can bridge the political divide, as long as the partners are willing to empathize with each other and respect their differences.

Health Belief Model as Students' Perspective Framework Regarding Covid-19 Prevention

Abstract: The Covid-19 epidemic have a significant risk to the public's health. The Covid-19 infection spreads swiftly and affects people of all ages. The implementation of health guidelines among students and how students feel they… ey can complete the Covid-19 procedure cannot be separated. The goals of this study is to ascertain how students view Covid-19 prevention from the viewpoint of the Health Belief Model. This research used a descriptive survey with a sample size of 170 respondents and the sampling method is purposive sampling. Descriptive analysis of the components of HBM perceived severity category is quite good (90.0%), perceived barriers is a quite good category (68.2%), perceived benefits is found to be in a quite good category (77.6%), health motivation is in quite a good category (81.2%) and it can be seen that the perception of vulnerability (55.9%) and perception of cues to act (56.5%) was quite good. Positive perceptions include student perceptions of the Health Belief Model's effectiveness in preventing COVID-19, which are rated as being quite good. Therefore, it is envisaged that linked parties would be able to enhance health promotion initiatives for the Covid-19 prevention procedure, both directly and through media like posters put up around campuses
