Abstract:Aceh is part of Indonesia’s archipelagic region and stands as the initial landing place of Islam. Situated on the western coast of Sumatra Island, this region played host to the peaceful introduction of Islam through Arab…
rab traders. The Islamization process, guided by a tasawwuf approach, unfolded smoothly, making it easy for the people of Aceh to embrace the Islamic faith. This underscores the significant role played by the tasawwuf approach and tariqa in the Islamization process. Consequently, the prevailing Islamic thought embraced by the community is infused with the practices of tasawwuf. Tariqa, etymologically meaning a method of practice to achieve a goal, has witnessed a notable increase in its development within the Islamic community. In Sufi terminology, “tariqa” is a form of spiritual practice and soul training aimed at attaining haqiqa (the essence) and ma'rifa (gnosis). These practices and exercises are guided by a spiritual teacher known as a “mursyid” (guide) because the journey between Sharia and haqiqa, according to Sufi scholars, must traverse seven great mountains. Islam significantly influences the way of life in Aceh society, with its people adhering firmly and with a commitment to religious teachings. In essence, Islam is a way of life for the people of Aceh. Over time, Acehnese society has changed its outlook on life. Some individuals practice specific tariqa to draw closer to the Creator. Tariqas such as Qadiriyya, Shattariyya, and Naqshbandiyya are among those that have developed in Indonesia. Engaging in the practices of these tariqas will influence the behavioral patterns of society. Moreover, the religious understanding among the community will change. In other words, the evolving tariqa brings a distinctive spiritual enthusiasm to the religious life of Acehnese society.

lus Pricing to evaluate supply chain effectiveness and determine appropriate product pricing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 50 respondents, consisting of fish farmers, middlemen, wholesalers, and market traders. The results indicate that the Pangasius distribution system still involves multiple intermediaries, resulting in relatively weak bargaining power for fish farmers. The distribution process takes approximately 1–2 days and is constrained by limited cold storage facilities, which affects product quality. Cost analysis shows that the cost of production is IDR 20,239.15 per kg, while the ideal selling price is IDR 22,263.06 per kg, with a profit margin of 10%. Improvements in the distribution system, better access to market information, and enhanced logistical support are necessary to increase distribution efficiency and improve farmers’ profitability.

a new historical science that focuses on problem solving and finding solutions to problems so that humans as historical actors can enjoy a better life in the present and in the future. This research finds that the “Pattern of Islamization of Trade and Civilizational Dialogue” is the “Early Pattern of Islamization in Southeast Asia.” This pattern took place from the end of the 7th century to the beginning of the 16th century. The agents of Islamization were Islamic traders or Islamic scholars who worked as traders. The weakness of this pattern is that it takes a long time. To achieve good results, this pattern requires the willingness and awareness of both the agents of Islamization and the indigenous population in undergoing the process of Islamization. This pattern does not have a negative impact on innocent Muslims and non-Muslims or those who live elsewhere. This pattern is carried out in a healthy and friendly manner that does not trigger cases of Islamophobia. Conclusion. This research contributes to overcoming the global impasse in addressing the crises, conflicts, wars, and disasters that emerged after COVID-19.

financial condition of traditional traders. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to explore the experiences and deep perceptions of the affected traders. The research informants consisted of 5 shop owners (textiles, shoes, and cosmetics) in the Gorontalo City Central Market who have been running their businesses for many years. The results of the study consistently show that the presence of online shops has had a very significant negative impact on the financial condition of offline store traders in the Gorontalo City Central Market. Before the rise of online shops (around 2018 and below), offline store sales conditions were very good and stable, with an average daily turnover ranging from IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 2,000,000, even reaching up to IDR 5,000,000 during the high season. After the emergence of online shops (around 2018-2020), merchants' income experienced a sharp decline.

with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants included the Head of the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of Merauke Regency, the Head of the Trade Division, the Head of the Wamanggu Market Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD), the Chairperson of HIPPAM, market traders, and consumers. Data were analysed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the management strategy of Wamanggu Market is implemented through four main aspects: trader registration, trader regulation and enforcement, market management evaluation, and the enforcement of trader discipline. However, the implementation of these strategies has not yet been fully effective. Trader registration continues to rely on outdated data, resulting in discrepancies between administrative records and actual field conditions. Regulatory measures have not been entirely successful, as some traders continue to operate outside the designated market area and kiosk allocation does not always comply with established zoning arrangements. Market management evaluations are conducted regularly; however, follow-up actions have not been sufficient to resolve existing problems significantly. Furthermore, the enforcement of trader discipline remains constrained by low levels of compliance among traders and the inconsistent application of regulations. The study also reveals that market management strategies are influenced by internal factors, including limitations in human resources, infrastructure, budget availability, and inter-agency coordination, as well as external factors such as regulatory frameworks, trader participation, environmental conditions, market dynamics, and consumer behaviour. Therefore, improvements in human resource capacity, stronger institutional coordination, enhanced infrastructure, and the development of adaptive management strategies are necessary to achieve more effective and sustainable management of Wamanggu Market.

transactions can serve as a medium for learning mathematics. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with an ethnographic perspective, allowing the researcher to observe and understand phenomena within a broader social context. Data collection was carried out through interviews with traders and market visitors, direct observation of the coin exchange activities, and documentation of activities related to these transactions. The collected data were then analyzed using three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the practice of coin exchange not only facilitates transactions in the market but also serves as a medium for applying arithmetic operations in everyday life. This activity encourages the development of logical thinking skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, which are frequently used in the bargaining process or in determining the price of goods. Furthermore, coin exchange helps maintain price stability and increases transaction efficiency in the market by reducing dependence on paper money, which is often difficult to divide accurately. Thus, the study concludes that the application of ethnomathematics in coin exchange activities at Sarwono Market provides dual benefits, both in the economic context and in mathematics education.

prompting the emergence of various types of markets. Modern markets, with more organized management and better facilities, often attract consumer attention away from traditional markets, despite offering higher prices. This research employs a qualitative method with an interactive approach, where the researcher directly interacts with the subjects of the study. The findings indicate that 75% of traditional market traders do not feel threatened by modern markets, as they can still attract customers with lower prices and negotiation flexibility. However, 25% of traders experience negative impacts due to decreased income, with an average decline ranging from 10% to 15%. This study highlights the necessity for traditional market traders to adapt to changes and seek new strategies to sustain their businesses amidst increasing competition. The findings aim to provide a deeper understanding of market dynamics in Gumawang City and support the development of better policies for traditional markets.
