Background : Breast cancer is a disease that is now starting to threaten young people, so early detection through Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is crucial from adolescence. BSE is a regular, independent breast examination by women themselves that can identify signs of breast cancer. However, the phenomenon of BSE among adolescent girls with a relatively low understanding, attitude, and practice of BSE is still relatively low. The low practice of BSE is also influenced by minimal breast health education. Ignorance and suboptimal attitudes are the main obstacles to BSE implementation among adolescents. Objectives: To describe and analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with breast self-examination (BSE) behavior in female adolescents at the Ta’ban Islamic Boarding School. Method: methods in this research Using quantitative methods through a cross-sectional approach design. The sample in the study was 110 respondents. Using the Chi-Square test analysis (x2). Results: The majority of respondents were in the middle adolescent category , as many as 55 people (50.0%) and had a final education of elementary school as many as 76 people (69.1%). A total of 47 people ( 42.7 %) had moderate knowledge of BSE, 48 people ( 43.6 %) had a fairly good BSE attitude, and 64 people ( 58.2%) had poor BSE behavior . The results of the Chi-Square test (x2) showed a significant relationship between knowledge ( p = 0.000) and attitude ( p = 0.048) with BSE behavior. Conclusion: Knowledge and attitude have a significant relationship with Breast self-examination (BSE) behavior in female adolescents at the Ta’ban Islamic Boarding School.

stress and depression. This study aims to determine the effect of turmeric extract consumption on pain levels among gastritis patients in Lambaro Bileu Village, Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar. The research employed a quantitative method - a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The population consisted of 29 patients. The sample was 15 patients experiencing gastritis pain, chosen using a purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted from May 29th to June 15th, 2025. The data analysis was univariate and bivariate with the Paired T-Test. The results showed that out of 15 respondents, most of them experienced moderate pain before being given the turmeric water, with 12 respondents (80%). After being given turmeric water, the majority still experienced moderate pain, with 11 respondents (73.3%) reporting this. Based on the statistical test results, the p-value was 0.000, which is less than 0.05. These findings prove that the consumption of turmeric water extract has a significant effect on pain levels in patients with gastritis. It is hoped that respondents can apply complementary therapy methods using turmeric water extract to reduce gastritis pain.

with a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 40 hypertensive patients selected using accidental sampling. Stress levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), while sugar and sodium intake were assessed using three non-consecutive 24-hour food recalls. Blood pressure was measured using a tensimeter. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses, with Fisher's Exact Test applied to examine the relationships between stress level and sugar intake and between stress level and sodium intake at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that 72.5% of respondents had moderate stress, 82.5% had adequate sugar intake, and 65.0% had excessive sodium intake. Fisher's Exact Test showed a significant relationship between stress level and sugar intake (p = 0.026), whereas no significant relationship was found between stress level and sodium intake (p = 0.759). These findings indicate that stress level was associated with sugar intake, but not with sodium intake, among hypertensive patients at Bontomarannu Health Center.
Abstract:This study seeks to examine poverty across the regencies and cities on Sumatra Island in 2023 by employing the K-Means Clustering approach. Poverty represents a complicated and multi-faceted societal challenge, shaped by…
various elements including educational attainment, joblessness, income per capita, and spending per capita. The information utilized in this analysis is sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics, specifically the proportions of impoverished individuals, average duration of education, rates of open unemployment, income per capita, and expenditure per capita. Findings reveal the establishment of three distinct clusters based on poverty attributes: Cluster 1 exhibiting a low poverty level, Cluster 2 displaying a moderate poverty level, and Cluster 3 indicating a high poverty level. Results from the One Way Anova test indicate notable differences in poverty traits across the clusters. It is anticipated that this research will aid the government in developing more suitable and effective strategies for tackling poverty in regions grappling with significant poverty challenges.

per capita expenditure, open unemployment rate, and Gini ratio on poverty gap in districts/municipalities in Sumatra Island in 2023. Using cross-section data from 154 districts/municipalities, the analysis was conducted through the calculation of the global Moran index and spatial autoregressive (SAR) regression. The results show that the gap of poverty in Sumatra Island has a clustered spatial pattern. Regions with moderate to high poverty gap are concentrated in the northern, southern, and western islands, especially in Aceh, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Lampung, and Nias, Mentawai, and Meranti Islands. In contrast, the central part of Sumatra tends to have lower poverty gap. From the regression analysis, non-food per capita expenditure has a negative effect and Gini ratio has a positive effect on poverty gap. These findings emphasize the importance of considering spatial factors in the formulation of poverty alleviation policies in Sumatra.
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the determinants of Propensity to Indebtedness among civil servants (ASN) and employees/entrepreneurs in Indonesia. The main focus of the research includes the influence of financial behavior biases,…
iases, emotions, culture, and materialism on the tendency to incur debt, as well as how financial literacy, job security, and religiosity moderate these relationships. A quantitative approach was used in this study, employing an ex post facto design supported by a survey questionnaire. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, with 400 respondents selected through simple random sampling. The results show that financial behavior biases, such as overconfidence and aversion regret, have a positive and significant effect on Propensity to Indebtedness. Emotions and culture also have significant influences, where emotional impulsivity and consumption-driven cultural values affect the tendency to incur debt. Materialism was found to strongly influence decisions to incur debt to fulfill lifestyle needs. Additionally, the moderating effect of financial literacy strengthens the relationship between financial behavior biases and Propensity to Indebtedness, indicating that better financial understanding helps individuals make wiser decisions. Job security also strengthens this relationship by providing emotional and financial stability. On the other hand, religiosity weakens the influence of emotions and materialism on Propensity to Indebtedness, although practical approaches are still needed to strengthen these effects. This research contributes academically by expanding insights into financial behavior and debt management, and it provides practical implications for the development of effective financial education programs aimed at improving financial literacy among Indonesian society.
Abstract:This study investigates the influence of Financial Literacy on Consumptive Behavior among students, with PayLater Usage as an intervening variable and Self-Control as a moderating variable. The rapid adoption of digital…
credit services, such as PayLater, has reshaped consumption patterns, particularly among young users, by promoting convenience and flexible payment options. This research aims to understand how financial literacy and self-control interact to influence students’ consumption behavior through PayLater usage. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a sample of 100 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa, the study finds that Financial Literacy has a positive influence on both PayLater Usage and Consumptive Behavior. Interestingly, while financial literacy is generally expected to mitigate consumptive tendencies, it indirectly contributes to impulsive spending by encouraging the use of PayLater. PayLater Usage is identified as an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between Financial Literacy and Consumptive Behavior, highlighting the role of convenience and perceived purchasing power in promoting consumption. Moreover, Self-Control negatively moderates the relationship between PayLater Usage and Consumptive Behavior, indicating that students with high self-control are less likely to exhibit impulsive spending despite using PayLater.
