Government Collaboration in Combating Schistosomiasis in Bada

Nur Alamsyah, M., Nawawi, Muhammad, Sisrilnardi, Sisrilnardi
Abstract: Schistosomiasis is an endemic disease in Indonesia which is only found in the province of Central Sulawesi, namely in Poso and Sigi Regencies. The area where the distribution of sichistosomes was found was in Kab. Poso in… n three places namely Bada, Lore and Napu. Although the policy for handling schistosomiasis snails and the impact of the disease has been handled since the colonial era, the Indonesian government has only taken serious action since 1982, which has not been completed until now. The absence of a common view on the problem of schistosomiasis has resulted in an asynchronous implementation of programs and activities related to the alleviation of schistosomiasis. This primary data collection technique also uses secondary data that comes from the Poso health office, the Bada schistosomiasis laboratory and the implementation of triangulation of actors, methods and data through focus group discussions which are expected to be able to map out the issues of involvement and the similarity of viewing problems in the management of schistosomiasis control in the context of the study This takes the area of Bada which is relatively successful although not yet complete. The collaboration model by collaborating with various internal institutional elements of the local government in each related regional apparatus organization, involving the community as an important part by becoming stool collectors, the presence of teachers and priests who provide strengthening information regarding the urgency of participation and collaboration to solve schistosomiasis has a broad impact on program achievements this.

Management of Learning Strategies in Elementary Schools During the Covid-19 Pandemic to Maintain Education Quality

Irma Mulyati, Ade, Abin Syamsudin, Tb., Mudrikah, Ahmad, Syaodih, Cahya
Abstract: This research was motivated by the unpredictable Covid-19 Pandemic which forced various parties to carry out social distancing and Work from Home (WFH). This condition has an impact on school closures, students learn from… m home and teachers teach from home. The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic as a new era of Distance Learning. Distance Learning with online/offline/hybrid learning modes as an effort to provide educational services to students. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the management of learning strategies in elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic to maintain the quality of education. The policy that underlies this research is the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 719/P/2020 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Curriculum in Education Units in Special Conditions. This research is based on George R. Terry's Theory of Management Functions, according to him “There are 4 management functions, which in the management world are known as POAC; Namely: planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach, with a case study type of research method. The research was conducted at Sirnagalih State Elementary School and Al Azhar Syifa Budi Parahyangan Elementary School (ASBP) West Bandung Regency with the research subjects being students. Research results: 1) Schools implement learning strategy management by preparing program plans (materials, strategies, assessments) that are adapted to the Emergency Curriculum and synergize with related parties to carry out learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. 2) Schools have carried out efforts to maintain the quality of education during the Covid-19 pandemic but have not been optimal. This is evidenced by the vast differences between one school and another. On the one hand, there are schools that implement very good distance learning with learning programs and strategies during the Covid-19 pandemic that are well planned by organizing human resources by conducting in-house training, but in other schools distance learning is carried out simply because schools have not establish learning policy guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic. 3) Implementation of elementary school learning during the Covid-19 pandemic with online/offline/hybrid learning modes. 4) There are several obstacles in primary school learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, including the limitations of studying the Emergency Curriculum with studies on the selection of Core Competencies and Basic Competencies, the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure, the condition of teachers who when carrying out learning still refers to student books as learning resources. 5) There are solutions to overcome obstacles including schools being required to improve teacher competence to be technology literate, designing adaptive curricula and facilitating adequate infrastructure, as well as Hybrid Learning with visiting teachers (Jarunjung). The conclusion of this study is that the management of learning strategies in elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic to maintain the quality of education has been attempted by implementing Distance Learning both online/offline/hybrid learning, but the results have not been optimal.

Analysis Error Student In Learning Geometry As Base Understanding Non-Euclidean Geometry : An Overview Literature Based on Newman's Error Analysis

Siregar, Dosta Ernauli, Purba, Lasvina Br., Chyntia, Jesica Dhea, Fauzi, KMS Muhammad Amin
Abstract: This study aims to identify the dominant error patterns of students in geometry learning based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA) and to examine their implications for readiness to understand Non-Euclidean Geometry. The method… thod employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 10 empirical articles published between 2019 and 2026. Data were extracted based on the five stages of NEA — reading, comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding — and subsequently analyzed through narrative synthesis, percentage comparison, and descriptive effect size. The results indicate that comprehension errors and encoding errors are the most dominant categories, with the highest percentages of 56.92% and 50%, respectively, followed by transformation errors, which consistently fall within a moderate effect range (20–40%), while reading errors and process skill errors are classified as low. The primary causes of errors include weak understanding of geometric concepts, inability in spatial visualization, limited mathematical language, and lack of procedural precision. The findings contribute as a diagnostic foundation for designing more effective geometry learning, while simultaneously serving as a conceptual bridge toward higher-level geometry

A Theme–Rheme Analysis of International News Reports on Russia’s LGBT Policy

M. Asril Marpaung
Abstract: This study examines how thematic organization contributes to the construction of state power and social positioning in international news discourse. Drawing on Halliday’s Systemic Functional Linguistics, with a specific… c focus on Theme–Rheme structure, the study analyses a BBC news report published in November 2023 on the Russian Supreme Court’s decision to designate the so-called “international LGBT movement” as an extremist organization. Using a qualitative textual approach, the text is segmented into clauses and analyzed to identify patterns of thematic choice and progression. The findings reveal a consistent foregrounding of institutional actors, such as state authorities and legal bodies, in Theme position when reporting legal actions and policy decisions, while members of the LGBT community and civil society figures are predominantly thematized in clauses expressing reactions, personal experiences, and anticipated consequences. This asymmetric thematic distribution constructs a discourse in which state authority is positioned as the primary agent of action, whereas affected social groups are framed as respondents to institutional power. The study demonstrates that ideological meanings in news discourse may be realized implicitly through grammatical organization rather than explicit evaluative language, and it highlights the value of Theme–Rheme analysis for examining power relations in contemporary international news reporting.
