Abstract:The global paradigm shift in waste governance towards a circular economy has driven the adoption of Community-Based Solid Waste Management (CBSWM), widely manifested in Indonesia through the Waste Bank initiative. Although…
gh theoretically designed as an ecological mitigation instrument and a catalyst for economic empowerment, previous literature remains dominated by techno-ecological and urban biases. These studies often overlook the structural dynamics of community empowerment in areas lacking established recycling infrastructure. This study aims to fill this gap by investigating the economic empowerment mechanisms and institutional resilience of the Berseri Waste Bank in Bengkalis Regency, a coastal-island area facing logistical disruption constraints. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 10 multi-actor informants (government, managers, customers, and community leaders) selected through purposive and snowball sampling. Data were collected via in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews, with data credibility ensured through source and method triangulation. The results reveal four main findings: (1) increased environmental awareness that reduces open burning practices; (2) increased real household income; (3) the emergence of micro-scale circular logistics practices; and (4) community participation heavily driven by social capital (trust and local leadership). Theoretically, this study extends the application of circular economy theory by proving its viability at the micro-community level in geographically isolated regions. As a practical implication, this study recommends that local governments formally recognize waste banks as legitimate circular economy entities and provide policy interventions in the form of coastal transportation logistics subsidies
Abstract:This study aims to examine the economic behavior of the community around Dhoho Airport, Kediri, which has undergone socio-economic transformation due to strategic infrastructure development. This phenomenon is evident in…
Kediri Regency, East Java, especially after the start of the construction of Dhoho Airport, a national strategic project designed to be a lever for regional economic growth. The presence of the airport has changed the face of the surrounding area, which was previously agricultural land and modest settlements, into a bustling and fast-growing economic area. This change has led to a surge in new economic activities, such as the emergence of street vendors, restaurants, parking lots, local transportation businesses, and lodging. Using a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, this study explores the meanings raised by local economic actors in responding to these changes. The findings show that communities show adaptive responses through trade, lodging, and other services, with economic meanings influenced by local values such as blessing, hard work, and kinship. This study concludes that people's economic behavior is not only rational instrumental, but also full of subjective values and meanings, so that regional economic policies need to be designed in an inclusive and contextual manner
Abstract:This study aims to analyze newsroom convergence processes and newsroom models implemented by Tribun Pekanbaru and Riau Pos, while also examining how newsroom convergence is utilized as an economic strategy to maintain the…
e sustainability of local media businesses amid digital disruption. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies involving newsroom managers, editors, and journalists from both media organizations. The findings indicate that Tribun Pekanbaru and Riau Pos have adopted different newsroom convergence strategies. Tribun Pekanbaru has implemented an integrated newsroom model that combines Cross Media Newsroom and Integrated Media Newsroom approaches, emphasizing digital-first production and multi-platform content distribution. Meanwhile, Riau Pos continues to maintain a separated newsroom model between print and digital divisions, reflecting a gradual adaptation process toward digital transformation. The study further reveals that these differences are influenced not only by technological factors and organizational culture but also by economic considerations. Tribun Pekanbaru develops an integrated newsroom to improve production efficiency and expand digital content monetization, while Riau Pos maintains separated newsrooms because print media remains a significant source of company revenue. This study concludes that newsroom convergence has evolved beyond a technological transformation into an economic adaptation strategy for local media organizations. The findings suggest that newsroom convergence enables media companies to improve operational efficiency, broaden audience reach, optimize resource utilization, and strengthen business sustainability in an increasingly competitive digital environment.

osive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that service quality and sales promotion have positive and significant effects on consumer loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. The regression results indicate that sales promotion has a greater contribution than service quality in increasing consumer loyalty. However, the coefficient of determination shows that service quality and sales promotion explain 16.3% of consumer loyalty, while the remaining 83.7% is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings imply that local retail management should not only improve service quality and sales promotion programs, but also consider other factors such as customer satisfaction, product quality, price competitiveness, store atmosphere, and consumer trust to strengthen long-term consumer loyalty.

consisted of 100 Rumah Tempe customers selected through purposive sampling, with the criteria of being at least 17 years old, having made purchases independently, and having purchased the product at least twice. Data were collected through questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale, supported by interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that product quality, brand image, and promotion have positive and significant effects on customer loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. Among the three variables, promotion has the strongest influence, indicating that effective promotional activities play an important role in encouraging repeat purchases and customer recommendations. These findings imply that Rumah Tempe should consistently maintain product quality, strengthen its brand image, and optimize promotional strategies to increase customer loyalty in the competitive local snack food market.

is a procession of Qur'an khatam which is an important part of the traditional wedding series. This research aims to examine the symbolic meaning and cultural values in the Mappanre Temme tradition and its relevance in the life of modern society. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study show that this tradition contains religious, educational, social, and moral values. Apart from being a symbol of the spiritual readiness of the bride-to-be, this tradition is also a medium for the preservation of Islamic values and local culture. However, modernization also affects the meaning of this tradition, so sustainable preservation efforts are needed.

stics Agency (BPS) and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). The study sample consisted of 456 local governments with an observation period of 2021–2022, resulting in 912 observations. The analytical method used was panel data regression with the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) approach and the Random Effects Model (REM). The results showed that government financial report accountability has a positive and significant effect on the achievement of SDG 1. The coefficient value of 0.645 with a significance level of 0.000 indicates that the better the level of local government accountability, the higher the achievement of poverty alleviation. This study proves that transparent, accountable, and effective financial governance can support the success of government programs in improving public welfare and accelerating the achievement of sustainable development in Indonesia.
Abstract:This study examines the implementation of the Quality Control Circle (QCC) system to enhance employee engagement and productivity at Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) headquarters and its Indonesian branch.…
nch. As a global leader in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, CATL integrates innovative technology with employee participation to improve work processes and operational performance. QCC is applied as a structured approach that empowers employees to identify workplace problems, develop solutions, and collaborate in continuous improvement activities using quality management tools and the PDCA cycle. The research employs a case study and comparative analysis method to explore differences between the standardized QCC system at CATL headquarters and the more flexible, localized implementation in Indonesia. The study involved permanent employees from both organizations using saturated sampling, with a total of 10 respondents. In addition, a five-day productivity training program was conducted in China and Karawang through lectures, case studies, and project-based learning, evaluated using pre-test and post-test assessments. The findings indicate that QCC significantly improves employee understanding of productivity management, strengthens communication, enhances product quality, reduces quality-related costs, and increases employee engagement, motivation, and organizational commitment in both operational environments
