Enhancing Speaking Ability Through Hello English Application

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Hello English terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas tujuh di SMPN 13 Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif quasi-eksperimental&#8230; imental untuk menguji apakah aplikasi tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa secara lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan metode pengajaran konvensional. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas tujuh tahun ajaran 2024/2025, dengan dua kelas yang dipilih sebagai sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas 7E dan 7F yang masing-masing berjumlah 35 siswa. Satu kelas dijadikan kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan aplikasi Hello English, sedangkan kelas lainnya menjadi kelompok kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes berbicara dan dianalisis secara statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar menggunakan aplikasi Hello English memperoleh kemampuan berbicara yang lebih baik, dengan rata-rata nilai post-test sebesar 84,00 dibandingkan dengan 74,86 pada kelas kontrol. Selain itu, hasil Independent Samples Test menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 5,616 dengan derajat kebebasan 68 dan nilai signifikansi di bawah 0,05 (<0,001), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kedua kelompok. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis nol ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Hello English secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. This study investigates the effect of using the Hello English application on the speaking skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 13 Kota Tangerang. The research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design to examine whether the application could improve students’ oral proficiency more effectively than conventional teaching methods. The population consisted of seventh-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year, with two classes selected as samples using cluster random sampling: class 7E and class 7F, each with 35 students. One class served as the experimental group using the Hello English application, while the other functioned as the control group using conventional instruction. Data were collected through speaking tests and analyzed statistically. The findings revealed that students taught through the Hello English application achieved better speaking performance, with an average post-test score of 84.00 compared to 74.86 in the control class. Furthermore, the Independent Samples Test showed a t-score of 5.616 with 68 degrees of freedom and a significance value below 0.05 (<0.001), indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In conclusion, the Hello English application significantly improved students’ speaking skills.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of administrative skills and information systems on public services at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Manado State University. This research is a type of quantitative research,&#8230; rch, the research method is a survey method. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Manado State University. With a research time of 3 months. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Manado State University, class of 2018. The sampling in this study was carried out randomly (random sampling). The results of the study show that the relationship between the administrative skills and information system variables with public services is a significant relationship. This situation illustrates that public services are determined by administrative skills and information systems.

Implementation Of Integrated Quality Management In Media-Based Chemistry Learning Information And Communication Technology As Graduates

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low implementation of ICT-based chemistry learning, schools have not been able to implement ICT-based chemistry learning in achieving graduate quality. The purpose of this study was to determine&#8230; etermine the implementation of integrated quality management of ICT-based chemistry learning as an effort to improve the quality of graduates. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The technique of checking the validity of the data is by triangulation of sources and techniques. Regulation of the minister of education and culture Number 20 of 2016 concerning competency standards for elementary and secondary education graduates, regarding the meaning, purpose, and scope of SKL as well as Monitoring and Evaluation. Definition of Graduate Competency Standards are criteria regarding the qualifications of graduates' abilities which include attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The results of research at SMAN 1 Bandung City and SMA Al Azhar Syifa Budi Parahyangan West Bandung in general indicate that the implementation of integrated quality management of ICT-based chemistry learning in both schools has been going well so that it can improve the quality of graduates.

Effects of Social Media on Students’ Writing: The Case Study of Mount Mary College of Education

Abstract: The study aimed to determine the impact of social media language (also known as net language) on the formal writing skills of Mount Mary College of Education students. This study involved a total of 150 students, 60 of whom&#8230; hom were males and 90 of whom were females, who were studying English language and French at the time of the study. The study employed a phenological research design, and a purposive sample technique was used to choose the thirty (30) participants that took part in it. The responses were mark quiz papers and group tasks, and the results were analysed. The study concluded that when people write individually, social media does have an impact on their formal writing. Students who work in groups, on the other hand, are not affected by this. Another finding of the survey was that respondents employ a wide range of social media lingo, including clipping, abbreviation, alphanumeric homophony, vowel deletion, graphone, and other slang terms, among other things. According to the results of the survey, most people type in social media or internet language when they communicate on social media to make it easier for them to communicate.

Character Education and Implementation in Learning at MAN 1 Banjarmasin

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to find out how MAN 1 Banjarmasin implements character education in learning, and to determine the factors that influence character education in MAN 1 Banjarmasin learning. This research is&#8230; descriptive and qualitative research. The object of this research amounted to 6 people, including the head of the madrasa, waka of the course, several teachers, and several students. Using data collection techniques from interviews, observation, and recording. The results of the research of MAN 1 Banjarmasin on the implementation of character education in learning include learning planning and learning implementation. At the lesson plan stage, the teacher includes various characters in the lesson plan to be applied in learning. At the implementation stage of learning, the teacher internalizes character values in the initial, core, and final activities aimed at developing student character. There is a kind of stimulus or interactive stimulus in the learning process, its function is to instill personality in the learning process. In the implementation stage of learning, teachers also use various methods to shape students' character, namely exploring children's knowledge and skills through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and questions and answers, and they use scientific methods to make the learning process more focused on student activities. student character formation. Only then can the implementation of character education in language learning be carried out properly. There are two factors that influence the implementation of character education learning at MAN 1 Banjarmasin, namely supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors include activities carried out in religious schools to support the successful formation of student character and school environmental conditions. Inhibiting factors include the time of learning implementation, students or students from different backgrounds, and lesson plans.

Workshop Pemanfaatan Tools Artificial Intelligence Dalam Pembelajaran Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru SMK Di Era Digital

Abstract: Perkembangan teknologi digital, khususnya Artificial Intelligence (AI), menuntut guru untuk mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi secara efektif dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, hasil identifikasi awal di SMK Al-Ma’asum Kisaran&#8230; saran menunjukkan bahwa sebagian guru masih memiliki keterbatasan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan tools AI untuk mendukung pembelajaran mendalam. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan tools AI sebagai pendukung perancangan pembelajaran, pengembangan media, dan asesmen adaptif. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa kegiatan workshop berbasis praktik langsung yang dilaksanakan secara tatap muka pada Jumat, 21 November 2025, dengan melibatkan 28 guru SMK Al-Ma’asum Kisaran. Workshop memfokuskan pada pemanfaatan ChatGPT untuk penyusunan skenario pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), Canva untuk perancangan media visual, Quizizz dan Kahoot untuk asesmen adaptif, serta PhET Interactive Simulations untuk visualisasi pembelajaran. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pembelajaran mendalam dari 56% menjadi 82%, pemanfaatan AI dari 61% menjadi 87%, serta kemampuan menyusun modul ajar dari 58% menjadi 81%. Tingkat kepuasan peserta mencapai 94%, menunjukkan bahwa workshop efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan mendukung inovasi pembelajaran berbasis AI.

Abstract: This study aims to describe the group dynamics within the school environment, focusing on teacher collaboration and the implementation of group work among students at UPT SPNF Kota Medan. This descriptive research provides&#8230; es an overview of how collaborative relationships among teachers develop and how group work is applied during the learning process. Data were collected through observations and questionnaires to obtain information related to interaction patterns, levels of participation, and the effectiveness of cooperation within the school setting. The findings indicate that teacher collaboration is in a good category and contributes significantly to creating a more conducive learning atmosphere. Additionally, the implementation of group work among students enhances their communication skills, responsibility, and social interaction. Application Of Picture Media In Writing Descriptive Texts Using The Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model For Grade IV Elementary School Students

Abstract: This research is motivated by the lack of descriptive text writing skills of students in high classes, namely grade IV of Elementary School. The purpose of the study was to describe the improvement of descriptive text writing&#8230; iting skills in learning Indonesian through the application of image media in using the problem based learning (PBL) model in grade IV of SDN 55 Air Pacah, Padang City. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research instruments used were teacher activity observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, and student writing skill assessment sheets. The percentage of teacher activity obtained in Cycle I was 80% and increased in Cycle II with a percentage of 92.5%. The average observation of student activities in Cycle I was 72.5% and increased in Cycle II with an average of 85%. The completion of student writing skill learning outcomes in Cycle I was 44% with an average learning outcome of 62, increasing to 84% in Cycle II with an average learning outcome of 78. Based on the results of this assessment, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve students' descriptive text writing skills

Abstract: This research aims to determine the relationship between company culture and employee achievement motivation at PT United Tractors Tbk. This company is known for its good work culture, with the slogan "moving as one" and&#8230; solution-based company values. The success of this company was achieved with the support of employees who have high abilities, skills and motivation. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and literature study. Data were analyzed using triangulation to ensure validity. The research results show that a strong and healthy company culture can increase employee achievement motivation. A company culture that is innovative, supportive and open to evaluation and attention to detail regarding employee needs, such as a safe and comfortable work environment, plays a role in creating creative, committed and motivated employees. PT United Tractors also shows that good company support, continuous employee training and development, as well as a fair and transparent performance appraisal system, can encourage employees to achieve higher achievements. These findings support the hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between corporate culture and employee achievement motivation, that the stronger the company culture, the higher the employee achievement motivation.
