DIGITAL IMAGE QUALITY OPTIMIZATION USING DEEP NEURAL NETWORK

Arifanto, Bachtiar, Abdul Chamid , Ahmad, Nindyasari , Ratih
Abstract: Abstract: One of the main challenges in digital image processing is limited resolution, which makes it difficult to preserve visual details when images are enlarged. Conventional methods such as Bilinear Interpolation are… e commonly used for image upscaling; however, these approaches often produce blurred images, lose fine textures, and fail to reconstruct complex visual structures. This study aims to enhance digital image resolution by employing a deep learni based approach using a Low-Light Convolutional Neural Network (LLCNN) built upon a Deep Neural Network (DNN) architecture. The dataset used in this study is the DIV2K dataset, which consists of 1,000 high-resolution images. These images were downsampled using scaling factors of ×2, ×3, and ×4 to generate paired Low Resolution–High Resolution (LR–HR) data for training and evaluation. The proposed LLCNN is designed to extract important features such as edges, textures, and local patterns through multiple convolutional layers, followed by non-linear mapping to reconstruct high-resolution images more accurately. Quantitative performance evaluation was conducted using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and the Structural Similarity Index (SSIM). Model performance was evaluated quantitatively using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) metric. Experimental results showed that the proposed method improved image quality compared to the bilinear method. These results indicate that the deep learning based approach effectively improves image sharpness and structural fidelity, thereby demonstrating its potential for digital image resolution enhancement.             Keywords: deep neural network; image resolution; low-light convolutional neural network; machine learning   Abstrak: Permasalahan utama dalam pengolahan citra digital adalah keterbatasan resolusi yang menyebabkan detail visual sulit dipertahankan ketika citra diperbesar.

Boardroom Strategies: How Governance Structures and Firm Size Influence Accounting Conservatism

Vista Yulianti, Dian Sulistyorini Wulandari, Satinah Satinah
Abstract: This study explores the intricate relationship between corporate governance mechanisms—specifically Board Directors, Independent Commissioners, and the Audit Committee—and Accounting Conservatism, focusing on the moderating… erating effects of Firm Size. The findings reveal that Board Directors have a statistically significant impact on Accounting Conservatism, primarily through their ability to provide oversight and challenge aggressive financial practices. However, the influence of Board Directors is moderated by Firm Size, as larger organizations often exhibit complexities that dilute their effectiveness. Similarly, the study underscores the pivotal role of Independent Commissioners in promoting conservative accounting practices. However, their impact is not amplified by Firm Size. The pressures faced by larger firms can lead to more aggressive financial reporting, thereby limiting the effectiveness of Independent Commissioners. Additionally, the Audit Committee is identified as a crucial governance mechanism in fostering Accounting Conservatism, but its effectiveness is also diminished in larger firms due to complex organizational structures. Overall, the research underscores the critical need for governance frameworks to be adaptive and tailored to the unique challenges posed by Firm Size. By recognizing and addressing these complexities, organizations can enhance the integrity and transparency of their financial reporting, thereby fostering trust among stakeholders and contributing to corporate accountability.

Fangirling Culture in X: a Virtual Ethnographic Study of Seventeen Boygroup Fans in Makassar City

Nabila Rahmayuni Saharuddin, Abdul Rahman
Abstract: This study explores the cultural practice of fangirling on social media platform X as a space for identity negotiation and communal solidarity in the digital era. Using a digital ethnography approach, data was collected… through participant observation, in-depth interviews with fans, and a documentary study of the digital footprints of the informants. The results show that fangirling is not merely a form of passive consumption, but rather a communal cultural activity carried out massively and organized through fictitious kinship structures in cyberspace. This phenomenon manifests itself in the form of digital "work culture," such as the ritual of collectively streaming music and mobilizing votes to increase the symbolic capital of the idol group SEVENTEEN on the global stage. This practice confirms a shift in social interaction patterns, where group loyalty is bound by a commitment to the idol's aesthetics and achievements. Anthropologically, this activity creates a new value system that blurs the boundaries between the private space of fans and the digital public space, while simultaneously strengthening the position of social media platform X as a primary locus in the formation of contemporary popular culture.

Diandra Parta Wisnu Dewangga, Suhartawan Budianto, Kusuma Wijaya
Abstract: In discourse, speech is not only considered as a linguistic phenomenon but also as a means to maintain or change power relations in society. One of the clearest examples of the use of speech in discourse to change social… change occurred in The Black Civil Rights Movement from 1955 to 1968 in the United States. Based on the interest in studying Malcolm X's speech further, the thesis writer decided to analyze Malcolm X's speech at the Oxford Union Debate using Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis framework with a qualitative method that will focus on linguistic issues as part of social and humanitarian issues. The results of this study showed deconstruction result of Malcolm X's speech text by analyzing various linguistic features from the dimensions of text practice (including positive and negative lexical items, key terms of ideology and belief, modality, and rhetorical devices), discursive practice (including intertextuality and shared knowledge), and sociocultural (including formality and personal pronouns), then continued with a discussion of the relationship between discourse, power, and ideology and the role of Malcolm X's speech in the historical context at that time. It can be concluded that Malcolm X's speech highlights his advocacy for revolutionary justice and self-defense for oppressed black people. He also challenged the power structures of his time, opposing segregation and exposing the hypocrisy of the American and Western governments with white supremacy and colonialism behind the mask of democracy.

Pembelajaran Akidah-Akhlak Dengan Pendekatan Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta

Wafiq Azizah, M. Ridwan Nur, Rita Puspita, Abdullah Abdullah
Abstract: Degradasi moral peserta didik di era digital yang ditandai meningkatnya intoleransi, perundungan, krisis empati, serta melemahnya integritas sosial menunjukkan adanya persoalan mendasar dalam praktik pendidikan nilai. The moral decline of students in the di’Ital era, reflected in rising intolerance, bullying, diminished empathy, and weakened social integrity, indicates a fundamental problem in contemporary value education. In Akidah Akhlak instruction, learning practices remain predominantly cognitive and normative, while affective development and systematic value internalization are insufficiently integrated into curricular design. This gap between conceptual mastery of religious teachings and their moral enactment in lived experience represents an epistemological and pedagogical challenge requiring reconstruction. This study aims to formulate a conceptual framework for a Love-Based Curriculum as an alternative paradigm in Akidah Akhlak education. Employing a qualitative library-based approach, the study applies hermeneutic analysis to the concept of mahabbah within the Islamic intellectual tradition, particularly in the thought of Al-Ghazali, while comparatively engaging modern humanistic educational theory. The findings demonstrate that a Love-Based Curriculum possesses theological legitimacy and pedagogical coherence in integrating cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions of learning. The novelty of this study lies in positioning love not merely as a moral value but as an epistemological and curricular principle that structures the aims, processes, and evaluation of Akidah Akhlak instruction in a systematic and transformative manner.

Spatial Planning of the East Java Provincial Government during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Supporting State Defense

Nurdiansyah, Hendra, Risdhianto, Agung, Mualim, Much.
Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic poses future space planning challenges. The current Covid-19 pandemic has greatly impacted everyone around the world covering all fields from health, economy, and food security, to sports, including… the field of spatial planning. Control of infectious virus outbreaks must be involved in spatial planning. Spatial planning that cares about the level of human health is no longer just struggling with green open space. But there should also be space for physical distancing in public places. The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial planning of East Java Province during the Covid-19 pandemic in supporting state defense. This paper is written based on the results of qualitative research using phenomenological research design. In this study, the data collection process was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation study methods. The data obtained is then analyzed through four stages, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results showed that spatial planning during the pandemic was carried out with four aspects, namely analyzing the Covid-19 distribution map in East Java, planning changes in policies and strategies with public health considerations, planning space structures with the addition of emergency infrastructure, and planning space patterns with the allocation of green open space. The obstacles faced in spatial planning are the restriction of working hours and the implementation of WFH for employees, and the lack of community support as an affected object. Both are overcome by implementing digitalization strategies and community participation so that the spatial planning agenda during the Covid-19 pandemic can run well. In addition, the better spatial planning during the pandemic, the better the country's defense because of the non-military threat in this case the Covid-19 virus can be well anticipated.
