Abstract: This article investigates how perpetual justice is prolonged in James Baldwin’s flash fiction entitled The Bell of Atri. Drawing on theories of moral and ethical principles, this study examines the idea of justice that transcends… transcends time and its implications in the context of the narrative. There is restorative justice emphasizing on repairing the harm caused by lawlessness and restoring disturbed relationships between perpetrators, victims, and society. Through qualitative approach, this article involves the active participation in the restorative process of apology, reparation, and reconciliation. The Bell of Atri then underscores the importance of moral integrity and fairness in society as it highlights the enduring relevance of ethical principles and the significance of upholding justice across generations. In conclusion, The Bell of Atri emphasizes the importance of the perception of justice in the relationships of fellow beings and the peace within well-being conditions of others.

Application Of Hutagogy System For Transforming Basic Proficient Course Training At Pusdiklatcab Jombang

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the application of the Hutagogy (Self-Determined Learning) system in basic proficient course training at Pusdiklatcab Jombang, East Java. Hutagogy is a learning approach that gives trainees greater… ater control and responsibility in organizing and directing their own learning. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with trainees and instructors, and analysis of training-related documents. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the effectiveness and benefits of implementing the Hutagogy system in the context of basic proficient course training. A significant 75% strongly agree with the use of diverse media in learning, indicating an understanding of the value of multimedia technologies. Furthermore, 50% strongly agree that students actively participate in course assessments, demonstrating a willingness to evaluate and improve the learning process. Finally, an overwhelming 81.3% support a thorough approach to assessment that includes pre-tests, post-tests, reviews, feedback, and reflections, demonstrating commitment to a holistic evaluation process. And all of the finding explained that hutagogy was applied at Pusdiklatcab Jombang , East Java.

Upaya Meningkatkan Aktivitas Dan Hasil Belajar Menulis Descriptive Text Dengan Menggunakan Media Gambar Pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Swasta PAB 9 Klambir Lima

Abstract: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perkembangan keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa SMP Swasta PAB 9 Klambir Lima dengan menggunakan media visual. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kemampuan menulis… ulis teks deskriptif siswa SMP Swasta PAB 9 Klambir Lima masih tergolong kurang. Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa SMP Swasta PAB 9 Klambir Lima yang berjumlah 34 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tata cara pelaksanaan dan pelaksanaan tindakan pada objek penelitian dibagi dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi, dan dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi dan dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan teknik analisis data kualitatif. Kriteria keberhasilan kegiatan adalah tes menulis teks deskriptif dengan menggunakan media gambar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual dalam pembelajaran menulis teks deskriptif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa yaitu. rata-rata 59,41 menjadi 65,88 pada siklus I dan menjadi 100,00 pada akhir siklus II. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar memenuhi kriteria kelulusan minimal (MMC) dengan standar nilai 70. Peningkatan kelulusan bertambah 3 orang siswa yaitu sebanyak 3 orang siswa. 12,507% menjadi 22 siswa yaitu 64,72% dan 100,00%. yaitu Periode kedua berjumlah 34 siswa, hal ini juga didukung dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada periode terakhir dari 3 siswa atau 12,50% menjadi 22 siswa atau 64,72% dan 100% atau 24 siswa. Kesimpulannya penerapan media visual terbukti mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta PAB 9 Klambir Lima..

Analisis Pengaruh Covid-19 Terhadap Kesehatan Mental Dengan Visualisasi Data Rapidminer

Abstract: Pandemi Covid-19 telah membawa pengaruh yang besar terhadap kesehatan di seluruh dunia. Tidak hanya dari segi fisik, namun juga berdampak pada psikis (mental) yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor dan berbagai masalah serta… ta kecemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh covid-19 terhadap kesehatan mental dengan penerapan aplikasi RapidMiner berupa visualisasi data. Penelitian ini mencoba memprediksi hasil positif atau negatif dari data covid-19 dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi RapidMiner. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode visualisasi data dari text processing pada aplikasi RapidMiner. Hasil analisis melalui penggunaan visualisasi data, penelitian ini berhasil menampilkan data terbanyak dan kata yang paling sering muncul dengan frekuensi terbanyak yaitu Covid, dan yang lainnya menunjukkan frekuensi yang rendah. Visualisasi data juga memberikan gambaran sentimen positif, negatif, dan netral. Melalui aplikasi RapidMiner juga tidak hanya digunakan untuk visualisasi data tapi juga dapat mengelompokkan data. Visualisasi wordcloud menampilkan kata dengan frekuensi terbanyak, semakin banyak frekuensi kata tersebut semakin besar dibanding kata yang lain. Kata dengan frekuensi terbanyak yaitu Covid, dan yang lainnya menunjukkan frekuensi yang rendah.

The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative description to describe phenomena that people… ople experience, the description carried out in word and language in a context that leads to the theory proposed by Carl Rogers regarding the concept of self and using a literary psychology approach to unravel the psychological elements of the fictional character contained in the literature. Research shows that the main character in the novel Iyan Not a Middle Child by Armaraher had a negative self-concept, which involved an imbalance between the ideal self and real self in the character Riyan. It deeply influences how the figure sees himself and breathes his life, as well as how he interforms with others from absence unconditional positive regard.

This research is normative legal… research that uses a case approach and a conceptual approach. The legal materials used are primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The technique for collecting and analyzing legal materials used in writing this article is literature study. The result of this research is that the principle of lex specialis derogate legi generali, when implemented in certain cases, can have an expanded meaning. The first meaning is that specific laws override general laws, while the expansion of the intended meaning in a particular case can be interpreted as the textual suitability of the law and the case that occurred.

Abstract: Extensive reading practice is a reading activity that involves a variety of materials outside the official curriculum. This research aims to understand how students and teachers implement Extensive Reading Practice and its… ts impact on language learning. The research method used is a literature review, in which information is collected and analyzed from various sources such as journal articles, books, and related references. The results showed that Extensive Reading Practice received positive responses from students and teachers. Students reported improved reading skills, increased vocabulary, better text comprehension, and increased interest in reading. Meanwhile, teachers reported that extensive reading practice increased students' motivation to learn and active participation in language learning. The role of the school in providing adequate resources for extensive reading practice is also very important. This includes a well-stocked library and a variety of reading materials to support different reading activities. Overall, this study shows that extensive reading practice has significant benefits for students and teachers in improving language proficiency and motivation to learn.

Making Sense Of Mindfulness In Indonesian Elementary Schools: A Phenomenological Exploration Of Pupils’ Lived Experiences Of Concentration And Memory Within The “Merdeka Belajar” Context

Abstract: This study aims to elucidate the essence of Indonesian elementary school students' lived experiences of mindfulness meditation and how it shapes their perceptions of concentration and memory in the context of "Freedom to… Learn." A hermeneutic-phenomenological study was conducted with five students in grades 4-5. Data were generated through in-depth conversations and participant observations during a four-week classroom mindfulness program and analyzed through phenomenological reduction and thematic synthesis. The research findings indicate that the unchanging essence, namely "a shift from an anxious mind to a calm mind that opens up space for learning," is expressed through four interrelated themes: perceived emotional calm, sustained attention, easier recall, and positive appreciation of quiet moments. The study concludes that mindfulness is not simply a technique, but a pedagogical way of life that begins with learning; integrating brief, mindful pauses can foster reflective, calm, and independent learners aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract: This study discusses the importance of textbook evaluation in education to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the learning process. Textbooks not only present information but also assist teachers in designing the curriculum,… rriculum, crafting learning activities, and assessing student progress. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation of textbooks is crucial to assess their suitability for educational needs. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach and utilizes the evaluation instrument developed by Mike Horsley and Kevin Laws to evaluate the "My Best Reading" textbook. The evaluation results provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the textbook and its contribution to improving the quality of educational materials. However, the study has limitations that need to be considered in designing more comprehensive recommendations for enhancing instructional materials.
