Abstract:Maintaining employee commitment is particularly important in palm oil mill operations, where shift work, physical demands, and limited career development opportunities may affect employees’ attachment to the organization.…
on. This study examines the influence of work-life balance and career development on the organizational commitment of operational employees at the Rimba Belian Palm Oil Mill Unit, Region 5, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV. A quantitative associative design was employed, involving all 114 operational employees through a census approach. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression after completing instrument and classical assumption tests. The findings indicate that work-life balance and career development each have a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment. Both variables also jointly contribute significantly to strengthening employees’ commitment to the organization. Work-life balance showed a relatively stronger contribution, suggesting that employees’ ability to manage work demands and personal responsibilities is particularly important in a shift-based operational environment. This study extends the discussion of organizational commitment to the palm oil agro-industry, which remains less frequently examined than service and public-sector organizations. The findings imply that management should improve shift arrangements, rest periods, access to training, and the transparency of promotion and career development processes to maintain employees’ long-term commitment
Abstract:Abrogation (abrogation) holds a central, vexed position in Islamic legal-theological hermeneutics. Classical uṣūl al-fiqh elaborated a technical theory of abrogation that attempted to mediate the diachronic process of revelation…
revelation and the demands of fixity of legal judgment (ḥukm). Tradition receipts that later scripture abrogates earlier scripture wherever actual, unavoidable contradiction is found, classically expressed as "al-nāsikh wa-l-mansūkh.". Pre-modern thinkers classified modes and cases of abrogation, inferred them from revelational phases, and counted suspected cases throughout the Qur'an and Sunna. Modern scholarship avoids both epistemic pretensions and hyperbolic earlier assertions of abrogation. The article tracks early meanings, introduces intratraditional caution that moderated abrogation, and evaluates recent re-analyses based on coherence theory, maqāṣid (purposes), historicization in context, and ethics. It argues that abrogation was included in pre-modern dogmatics as a component of a package of other hermeneutical strategies (specification, restriction, prioritization, suspension) and that available resources allow for a less ambitious, economy-of-means approach. A renovated dogma leaner, evidence-based, and syncretized with maqāṣid and semantics can ensure the normativity of revelation and make the law more attentive to modern moral concerns, such as gender justice, religious pluralism, and violence. The paper reaches its climax with the proposal of a "manifest conflict resolution" regime. where abrogation is held in reserve as a last resort and not the initial starting point and has ramification for legal rulings (fatwā), legal codification and education more widely. Abstract:Communicative competence has become an essential competency for business education students in response to the growing demands of multilingual, multicultural, and technology-driven workplaces. However, previous studies have…
ave generally examined bilingual competency, collaborative learning, and communicative competence as separate constructs, providing limited understanding of their integrated relationships. This study aimed to develop an Integrated Communicative Competence Model for business education through the synthesis of previous empirical studies and recent international literature. A conceptual research design employing an integrative evidence synthesis approach was used to analyse empirical findings on bilingual competency, pair interaction, communicative competence, and professional readiness. The synthesis demonstrates that bilingual competency provides the linguistic and intercultural foundation for effective communication, while pair interaction functions as a collaborative learning mechanism that strengthens authentic communication practices. The interaction of these dimensions enhances communicative competence, which subsequently improves students' professional readiness and graduate employability in multilingual business environments. The proposed model contributes to communication studies by integrating bilingual competency and collaborative learning into a unified conceptual framework and provides practical guidance for curriculum development and communication-oriented learning in business education.
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the influence of packing machine automation on operator productivity in the facial tissue industry by considering the role of moderation, technical competence and operator workload perception.…
The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by reviewing scientific articles published in the 2020–2026 range from reputable databases such as Scopus. The selection process was carried out using the PRISMA approach through the identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages, resulting in a number of articles relevant to the topics of industrial automation, labor productivity, technical competence, and workload. The results of the study show that the implementation of packing machine automation in general has a positive impact on increasing operator productivity through time efficiency, quality consistency, and reduction of manual errors. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of automation is highly dependent on the level of technical competence of the operator, especially in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine. In addition, workload perception has also been shown to moderate the relationship, where automation can lower physical workloads but potentially increase mental workloads due to the demands of automated system supervision. Other findings suggest that an imbalance between automation levels and human resource readiness can hinder productivity optimization. Conceptually, this study confirms that the relationship between packing machine automation and operator productivity is not linear, but is influenced by individual and psychological factors. The practical implications of this study are the importance of technical competency-based training as well as adaptive workload management in supporting the successful implementation of automation in the manufacturing industry. This research contributes to the development of an integrative model that connects technology, people, and operational performance in the context of the tissue processing industry.
Abstract:This study aims to explore auditors' experiences in digital auditing practices, the meaning of professional ethics, and ethical dilemmas in the context of digital disruption using a phenomenological approach. The study was…
as conducted at a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Surabaya, with auditors who had experience in technology-based audits as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using a phenomenological approach supported by NVivo software. The results show that digital auditing practices are still dominated by the use of simple technologies such as Microsoft Excel for data processing, analysis, and audit documentation. Although technology increases efficiency, auditors still do not fully rely on the system and still use professional judgment to maintain the reliability of audit results. Professional ethics is understood as a primary foundation that remains valid, but is reinterpreted in the digital context, particularly related to efficiency pressures and technological risks. Ethical dilemmas arise due to time constraints, incomplete data, and client demands, so auditors tend to prioritize the sufficiency of evidence and prudence in decision-making. Overall, this study concludes that digital disruption does not change the fundamental values of auditors' professional ethics, but rather reconstructs their meaning through work experiences and professional interactions.
Abstract:This research is motivated by the phenomenon of cafe business competition in Gunungsitoli City, which demands effective marketing strategies, particularly in the utilization of promotional mixes and business location selection.…
ection. The purpose of the study is to analyze how promotional mixes and location aspects play a role in increasing sales at Murai Coffee Gunungsitoli. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the owner, employees, and customers of Murai Coffee. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Murai Coffee has implemented promotional strategies such as simple advertising, sales promotions, personal selling, public relations, and direct marketing that gradually increase customer interest. Meanwhile, the location factor, although not located in the city center, still provides sales opportunities through a comfortable atmosphere and quality service. However, challenges are still found in the comfort aspect, such as noise from outside and hot room temperatures, so that improvements to supporting facilities are needed. This research is useful for Murai Coffee in designing more optimal promotional strategies and location arrangements, for Nias University as a contribution to the development of marketing science, and as a reference for future researchers who want to study marketing strategies in the culinary sector.
Abstract:Digital transformation at Islamic Rural Banks demands governance that is accountable, secure, and aligned with sharia principles. This study aims to map digital governance practices and formulate prerequisites for safe,…
compliant, and value-oriented implementation. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach and adopting an active participatory method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, document reviews, and observations with purposive sampling (management, DPS, IT/cybersecurity units, and customers). The analysis refers to the Miles & Huberman model (data reduction–data presentation–conclusion drawing); validity is maintained through source triangulation, member checking, and audit trails. The findings consolidate five key domains: (1) the role of DPS in digital decisions and ongoing supervision, (2) human resource capabilities and risk culture, (3) IT & cybersecurity architecture (data protection, incident response, business continuity), (4) risk management–compliance (synchronization of OJK–DSN–MUI guidelines), and (5) digital customer literacy and experience. The theoretical contribution integrates the Institutional, Accountability, and TAM/UTAUT perspectives to explain the drivers and barriers to adoption. Practically, a risk-based digital governance roadmap is developed that prioritizes cybersecurity governance, strengthening the role of the DPS through digital oversight, and data governance policies.

structural issues in the labor market, including skill mismatches and insufficient job creation. Job preferences, including factors such as salary, work-life balance, and career development, are crucial in determining an individual’s ability to secure desirable employment. This research, based on a sample of 280 graduates from various universities, reveals that well-defined and realistic job preferences positively influence SPE. The analysis shows a significant and strong relationship between job preferences and employability, with a high path coefficient (0.986) and a T-statistics value far exceeding the significance threshold. The results highlight the importance of aligning personal career goals with market demands, enhancing individuals’ self-confidence in their employability. Educational institutions also play a key role in shaping job preferences and employability by providing skills that match labor market needs. The study underscores the need for better integration between education and industry to improve graduates’ market readiness. Universities in Bandung should integrate skill training aligned with labor market demands, career guidance, industry trend seminars, and job search strategies to ensure graduates possess relevant preferences and skills for the workforce. This study employed the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to analyze the factors influencing graduate employability preferences. As a recommendation, higher education institutions and policymakers should emphasize industry collaboration and adopt policies that enhance graduates’ readiness for the evolving job market.
