THE EFFECT OF PROFITABILITY, LIQUIDITY, AND LEVERAGE ON TAX AGGRESSIVENESS IN HEALTH SECTOR COMPANIES LISTED ON THE INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE FOR THE PERIOD 2022–2025

Yusup, Mutiara Syabna, Rakhamadhani, Vania
Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, and leverage on tax aggressiveness in health sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2022–2025. Tax aggressiveness is… is measured using the GAAP Effective Tax Rate (GAAP ETR), while profitability is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), liquidity by the Current Ratio (CR), and leverage by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). A quantitative research method with descriptive and verificative approaches is employed. The population consists of 38 health sector companies, from which 11 companies are selected as samples through purposive sampling, yielding 44 firm-year observations. Data analysis is performed using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) estimated through EViews 12. The results show that: (1) profitability does not significantly affect tax aggressiveness (prob. = 0.1023 > 0.05); (2) liquidity does not significantly affect tax aggressiveness (prob. = 0.4822 > 0.05); (3) leverage significantly affects tax aggressiveness (prob. = 0.0424 < 0.05); and (4) profitability, liquidity, and leverage simultaneously affect tax aggressiveness (prob. F-statistic = 0.0006 < 0.05), with an Adjusted R-squared of 0.48 or 48%. These findings suggest that debt financing structure plays a critical role in corporate tax planning decisions within the Indonesian health sector.

THE INFLUENCE OF PERCEIVED ACCESSIBILITY, MERCHANT SALES PROMOTION, AND PAIN OF PAYING ON IMPULSE BUYING AMONG QRIS USERS AMONG GEN Z IN MANADO CITY

Ratag, Melbourne Vichard Angelo, Ogi, Imelda W J, Loindong, Sjendry S R
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived accessibility, merchant sales promotion, and pain of paying on impulsive buying among Generation Z QRIS users in Manado City, both partially and simultaneously. This research… earch is motivated by the rapid growth of QRIS usage in Indonesia, which reached a transaction value of IDR 317 trillion with more than 57 million active users in the second quarter of 2025, alongside the increasing phenomenon of unplanned purchasing behavior among Generation Z as the primary users of this digital payment technology. This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal design (explanatory research). The theoretical foundations used are the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) Theory and Mental Accounting Theory. The study population consists of Generation Z QRIS users in Manado City, with a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula and purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire measured using a Likert Scale. The analysis technique employed is multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS 27 software, encompassing validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, F-test, t-test, and coefficient of determination (R²) test. The results indicate that: (1) Perceived accessibility has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying (t = 2.176; Sig. = 0.032); (2) Merchant sales promotion has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying (t = 2.279; Sig. = 0.025); (3) Pain of paying has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying and is the most dominant variable (t = 3.150; Sig. = 0.002; β = 0.314); (4) Simultaneously, all three variables have a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying (F = 9.972; Sig. < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.238 indicates that the three independent variables explain 23.8% of the variation in impulsive buying, while the remaining 76.2% is influenced by other factors outside this research model.

It is hoped that this study will enrich academic discourse on the relationship between religion, gender, and modernity, and pave the way for policy initiatives that support women’s empowerment in the Islamic world.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF CIGARETTE SMOKE EXPOSURE AND SERUM TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS AMONG STUDENTS

Al-Jufri, Muhammad Sony, Dewi, Yulia Ratna, Maulani, Yulita
Abstract: Cigarette smoke exposure is a significant health threat that may trigger lipid metabolism disorders, particularly by increasing serum triglyceride levels through nicotine-stimulated production of Very Low-Density Lipoprotein… tein (VLDL). This study aimed to analyze the correlation between cigarette smoke exposure levels and serum triglyceride levels in students to identify cardiovascular risks among the productive age group. This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 83 participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Participants' levels of exposure to cigarette smoke were assessed, and their serum triglyceride levels were analyzed using the GPO-PAP enzymatic method. Statistical analysis was performed to determine the significance of the association between smoke exposure levels and serum triglyceride levels. The findings indicate no statistically significant correlation between the level of cigarette smoke exposure and serum triglyceride levels among the study participants (Spearman's rho, p = 0.882). Most participants were classified as having mild cigarette smoke exposure and exhibited serum triglyceride levels within the normal reference range. Furthermore, the relatively homogeneous exposure levels and the young age of the participants may have contributed to the limited variability observed in the study. In conclusion, mild cigarette smoke exposure was not significantly associated with serum triglyceride levels among young adults.

Amiruddin, Wira Pekik, Muharam, Hari, Hannan, Sufrin
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of paid social media advertising and the quality of digital marketing content on the purchase decision of the BuatMudah e-course, both directly and indirectly through customer trust… st as a mediating variable. The background of this study is based on the decline and fluctuations in BuatMudah e-course sales amidst the growth of the EdTech industry and increasing competition in the educational market for content creators. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 355 BuatMudah e-course customers. The research instrument was designed based on indicators of paid social media advertising, digital marketing content quality, customer trust, and purchase decisions. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and the Sobel test to examine the mediating role. The results show that paid social media advertising has a positive and significant effect on customer trust, with a path coefficient of 0.72 and a calculated t-value of 16.17. The quality of digital marketing content also has a positive and significant effect on customer trust, with a path coefficient of 0.75 and a calculated t-value of 14.41. Furthermore, paid social media advertising had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a path coefficient of 0.25 and a calculated t-value of 4.35. Meanwhile, the quality of digital marketing content had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a path coefficient of 0.14 and a calculated t-value of 2.31. Customer trust was shown to have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a path coefficient of 0.39 and a calculated t-value of 5.03. The Sobel test results indicate that customer trust mediates the effect of paid social media advertising on purchasing decisions and also mediates the effect of digital marketing content quality on purchasing decisions. Thus, purchasing decisions for the BuatMudah e-course are determined not only by advertising effectiveness and content quality, but also by the ability of these two digital marketing stimuli to build customer trust.

Indonesian Stock Market Reaction to the Escalation of the 2026 Iran Conflict: Evidence from an Event Study of Energy Sector Firms

Nidrah, Rika Kurniawati, Mufidatul Azmi
Abstract: This study examines the reaction of the Indonesian capital market to the escalation of the Iran conflict in 2026 using an event study approach focusing on energy sector firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Market… t reactions are measured using Average Abnormal Return (AAR) and Trading Volume Activity (TVA). The observation period includes an 11-day event window (t−5 to t+5) and a 100-day estimation period. Statistical tests employed include the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, one-sample t-test, paired sample t-test, and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings indicate that abnormal returns are only significant around the event date but do not differ significantly between pre- and post-event periods. In contrast, trading volume activity shows consistent and significant changes. These results suggest that geopolitical conflict information is more strongly reflected in trading behavior than in price adjustments. This study contributes to the literature by providing sector-specific evidence from an emerging market and highlighting behavioral market responses.

The Impact of SIAkad E-Service Quality and Campus Facilities on Institutional Image Through Student Satisfaction

Syah, Ibrahim, Riswan, Riswan, Mursalim, Hermawan, Endang
Abstract: The digital transformation in higher education requires universities to provide not only reliable technology-based academic services but also physical facilities that support the student learning experience. This study aims… ims to analyze the effect of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) e-Service Quality and campus facilities on institutional image, with student satisfaction as an intervening variable. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire from 80 active students of STIMI-YAPMI Makassar selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, path analysis, and the Sobel test to examine the mediating role. The results showed that e-Service Quality and physical facilities had a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction and institutional image. E-Service Quality had the most dominant influence on student satisfaction. Furthermore, student satisfaction was shown to mediate the effect of e-Service Quality on institutional image, but not the effect of physical facilities on institutional image. These results indicate that e-Service Quality shapes institutional image through student experience and satisfaction, while physical facilities act as a reputational symbol that directly influences image. This research provides theoretical contributions in the development of higher education service management models as well as practical implications for higher education managers in formulating strategies for improving service quality and strengthening the institution's image in a sustainable manner.

Analysis of The Effect International Prices, Exchange Rates, Non-Tarif Measures, and Import Volume On The Export Value Of Indonesian Cloves (Hs:0907) To India

Jonathan, Krisna Adi, Oktafia, Renny
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of international prices, the rupiah–rupee exchange rate, non-tariff measures, and India’s import volume on the export value of Indonesian cloves to India. The research utilizes secondary… s secondary data for the period 2015–2024. The analytical method employed is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to examine both short-run and long-run relationships, complemented by stationarity tests, cointegration tests, ECM estimation, and diagnostic and stability tests. The results show that international prices have a positive and significant effect on Indonesia’s clove export value, consistent with export-supply theory which states that higher global prices increase export incentives. The rupiah–rupee exchange rate displays a positive but insignificant relationship, indicating that exchange rate volatility is not sufficiently strong to influence changes in export value. Non-tariff measures, including SPS and TBT standards, are found to have a significant effect, reflecting the role of regulations in increasing compliance costs while simultaneously enhancing Indian consumer confidence in the quality of Indonesian cloves. India’s import volume also has a significant influence, showing that India’s domestic demand remains a major driver of Indonesia’s export value during the study period. This study is expected to provide insights for policymakers and industry players in strengthening trade strategies, particularly in enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian clove exports through quality improvements, exchange rate stability, and compliance with non-tariff standards.
