Abstract:Marriage Law in Indonesia is the result of the convergence between Islamic legal principles and state regulations, as outlined in Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI). This study aims…
to analyze how Islamic law and positive law interact in regulating marriage and to what extent their convergence occurs in the practice of religious courts and within the Muslim community in Indonesia. The research employs a normative approach by analyzing sources of Islamic law, statutory regulations, and religious court rulings related to marriage. The findings indicate that although Indonesia’s marriage law is based on Sharia principles, several adjustments have been made to align with positive law to ensure justice and protection for all parties, particularly in aspects such as marriage registration, minimum marriage age, and women's rights. The convergence between Islamic law and positive law reflects efforts to harmonize religious values with national legal interests. However, challenges remain in its implementation, particularly concerning child marriage, polygamy, and divorce, which often spark debates in society. Therefore, further studies are needed to evaluate the effectiveness of Indonesia’s marriage regulations and how Islamic law can continue to adapt within the framework of a modern legal state.
Abstract:This research comprehensively examines the use of relative pronouns in English and their implications for language learning, both in academic and practical contexts. Relative pronouns such as who, whom, which, that, and…
whose are essential grammatical elements in complex sentence construction and play a vital role in producing cohesive writing. Through a methodological approach combining descriptive analysis, literature studies, and field research involving 100 English major students, this research investigates various aspects of relative pronoun usage, including grammatical functions, contexts of use, common error patterns, and effective learning strategies. Research findings reveal that 75% of learner difficulties are related to misunderstandings in distinguishing between the use of who and whom, as well as confusion in the placement of that and which. Further analysis shows a significant correlation between mastery of relative pronouns and academic writing ability. This research also identifies and proposes a series of innovative learning strategies, including contextual approaches and corpus-based learning, which have proven effective in improving the understanding and use of relative pronouns. These findings provide substantial contributions to the development of English language learning materials and offer practical implications for teachers in designing more effective teaching strategies for the topic of relative pronouns.

Abstract:Disclosure of a criminal case in order to find the perpetrator of a criminal act cannot be separated from witness statements as evidence. Witness testimony that is recognized as evidence is only testimony that meets subjective…
ective and objective requirements as a witness. In this regard, problems often arise in practice regarding testimonium de auditu witnesses, related to the strength of their evidence before the trial. For certain criminal acts, finding witnesses who saw, heard and experienced the crime is not easy. For example, criminal acts of sexual abuse against children, which are difficult to find because when a criminal act of sexual abuse occurs, at that time there must be only the perpetrator and the victim. The aim of this research is to determine the value and evidentiary strength of the testimony of testimonium de auditu witnesses in the process of proving criminal acts of child molestation. This problem will be answered using normative legal research methods through case studies of Decision Number: 146/Pid.Sus/2020/PN Ktg. The results of the research in writing this article are that the evidentiary value of all evidence, including witnesses, is in the hands of the judge. Judges in determining the value and proof of evidence must pay attention to its suitability with other evidence.
