Abstract:This study aims to determine the role of mothers as agents of masculinity enculturation for Nias ethnic boys. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, data collected through participatory observation,…
vation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Nias ethnic mothers and boys. The results show that the role of mothers as agents of masculinity enculturation in Nias ethnic boys in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village emphasizes the instilling of masculine values through daily care that is appropriate to the context of urban life. Mothers instill the value of courage by accustoming children to dare to speak, appear, and defend the truth, while building strength through emotional control and assertiveness to be able to face pressure, develop resilience through independence, discipline, and adaptability, and teach leadership through responsibility, decision-making, and the application of traditional leadership values such as si'ulu and si'ila. The main challenges faced by mothers include the stubbornness of children, the limited role without a husband figure for single parents, and the negative influence of social media and diverse urban environments. Mothers make various efforts to overcome these obstacles by implementing a firm but loving parenting style, providing motivation when children experience failure, and involving other male family members such as uncles or church members to provide advice. The implementation of traditional Nias ethnic masculinity values is still attempted through oral narratives, the use of digital technology to demonstrate the Fahombo (Stone Jumping) tradition, and the involvement of boys to attend and witness various Nias ethnic traditions in urban areas to maintain their ethnic identity amidst modernity

ng Motivation on Learning Outcomes, with Learning Independence as a moderating variable, in 11th grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak, located at Jl. Ujung Defense, Lantasan Baru, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This study used an ex post facto approach. The population was 35 11th grade Accounting students. The sample size was 35 students, using total sampling. Data collection was conducted through documentation and questionnaire distribution. The questionnaire was first tested for validity and reliability. The collected data was then processed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 30 software. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on students' accounting learning outcomes. This is indicated by a regression coefficient of 0.321 with a significance level of 0.021, which is less than 0.05. (2) Learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on students' accounting learning outcomes. The analysis results show a regression coefficient of 0.428 with a significance level of 0.004, which is less than 0.05. (3) Self-efficacy and learning motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on students' accounting learning outcomes. This is proven by a calculated F-value of 18.672 with a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. (4) Learning independence moderates the effect of self-efficacy on accounting learning outcomes. This is indicated by the significance value of the interaction variable between self-efficacy and learning independence of 0.043, which is less than 0.05. (5) Learning independence moderates the influence of learning motivation on accounting learning outcomes. The analysis results show a significance value of the interaction variable between learning motivation and learning independence of 0.029, which is less than 0.05. This means that learning independence strengthens the influence of learning motivation on students' accounting learning outcomes
Abstract:On January 27 and 28 2023, Manado City was hit by heavy rain which caused several areas to experience significant flooding. The high intensity of rain during that period reached extreme levels, resulting in the inundation…
n of several areas and submerging hundreds of residents' houses in 22 villages or sub-districts and 7 sub-districts in Manado. In studying this event, this research investigates the factors that influence extreme weather in Manado, observing sea surface temperature data, streamlines, air observations, the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI), and the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). The analysis shows that the positive SOI and negative IOD phenomena significantly impact extreme weather in the region. Cumulonimbus (Cb) clouds drove the atmospheric conditions formed on January 27 and 28 2023 and air flows from the Indian Ocean which brought wet air masses into Indonesian territory. High sea surface temperatures, reaching 28-29°C, also play a role in the intensive growth of rain clouds. Based on atmospheric conditions seen from radiosonde observation data, the stability index value shows that unstable conditions trigger heavy rain which causes flooding

ng a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that traditional medicine has a more dominant positive perception compared to modern medicine, traditional medicine is considered more affordable in terms of cost, comfort, and a relatively faster healing process. Meanwhile, modern medicine is perceived as a more certain and safe treatment because it is supported by medical examinations and professional health workers, but some people consider this treatment expensive and high risk because it requires surgery. Community preferences are generally influenced by factors such as cost, distance and accessibility, personal experience, and the influence of family and social environment. The conclusions drawn from the field work practice are as follows: The Sidamanik Plantation Is one of 24 tea plantations under the Sidamanik Plantation Unit of PTPN IV, located in Sidamanik ’istrict. The CTC black tea produced at the Sidamanik factory Is then shipped to the main factory for ’lending there, with the composition regulated by the technology department, as the CTC black tea from the Sidamanik factory does not yet have a s’les label. At the Sidamanik factory, grinding Is performed in two stages using a 15” Rotorvan” (RV) machine for the first grinding and a 36” Teaman CTC 4-Cut machine with four sets of sequential rollers for the second grinding. The Rotorvane’s capacity is 484,739.3533 kg of withered tea leav’s per hour, equivalent to 581,710.4923 ’g of fresh withred tea leaves per hour, and equivalent to ’21,810.1771 kg of dry tea per hour” The CTC plant’s capacity is 18,274.7704 kg of ground tea pe” hour, equivalent to a capacity of 21,930.6017 kg of fresh withered tea leaves per hour, and ”quiv’lent to a capacity of 4,592.2680 k” of dry tea per hour
