THE SCIENCE OF ABROGATION (ABROGATION): MODERN CRITIQUE

Muhammedh, Dheen
Abstract: Abrogation (abrogation) holds a central, vexed position in Islamic legal-theological hermeneutics. Classical uṣūl al-fiqh elaborated a technical theory of abrogation that attempted to mediate the diachronic process of revelation… revelation and the demands of fixity of legal judgment (ḥukm). Tradition receipts that later scripture abrogates earlier scripture wherever actual, unavoidable contradiction is found, classically expressed as "al-nāsikh wa-l-mansūkh.". Pre-modern thinkers classified modes and cases of abrogation, inferred them from revelational phases, and counted suspected cases throughout the Qur'an and Sunna. Modern scholarship avoids both epistemic pretensions and hyperbolic earlier assertions of abrogation. The article tracks early meanings, introduces intratraditional caution that moderated abrogation, and evaluates recent re-analyses based on coherence theory, maqāṣid (purposes), historicization in context, and ethics. It argues that abrogation was included in pre-modern dogmatics as a component of a package of other hermeneutical strategies (specification, restriction, prioritization, suspension) and that available resources allow for a less ambitious, economy-of-means approach. A renovated dogma leaner, evidence-based, and syncretized with maqāṣid and semantics can ensure the normativity of revelation and make the law more attentive to modern moral concerns, such as gender justice, religious pluralism, and violence. The paper reaches its climax with the proposal of a "manifest conflict resolution" regime. where abrogation is held in reserve as a last resort and not the initial starting point and has ramification for legal rulings (fatwā), legal codification and education more widely. MAKNA SIMBOLIK WARNA PAKAIAN IMAM DALAM LITURGI GEREJA KATOLIK KAJIAN SEMIOTIKA CHARLES SANDERS PEIRCE

Mendonca, Oktaviana Orleans, Berek, Adrianus, Seran, Agustinus

Abstract: Plastic waste is an environmental problem that continues to increase along with the development of community economic activities, especially in traditional market areas. Mardika Market, Ambon City, as a center of trade and… nd community economic activities, produces a fairly high volume of plastic waste, requiring effective and sustainable management. This study aims to analyze plastic waste management and its implications for community economic activities in the Mardika Market area of Ambon City. The study used a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study and document analysis approach. Data were obtained from publications from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN), scientific journals, government reports, and various relevant documents. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that plastic waste management in the Mardika Market area still faces various challenges, including the high use of single-use plastics, limited community participation, and the suboptimal implementation of the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) principles. These conditions have implications for the cleanliness and comfort of the market environment, which can affect community economic activities, especially visitor comfort and trading activities. Therefore, synergy between the government, traders, and the community is needed to improve the effectiveness of plastic waste management to support the creation of a clean, comfortable, and productive market environment.

Neurodiversity in Human Resource Management: A Bibliometric Analysis and Research Agenda for Indonesia

Rahmawati, Andi
Abstract: Neurodiversity conceptualizes autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and related cognitive differences as natural variations in human cognition rather than individual deficits. Although this perspective… erspective has gained increasing attention in human resource management (HRM), the intellectual structure and relevance of the existing literature to the Indonesian context remain insufficiently understood. This study maps the development of global research on neurodiversity and HRM and identifies research priorities for Indonesia. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using 993 records retrieved through a Boolean search combining neurodiversity- and HRM-related terms. Following a PRISMA-guided screening process, keyword co-occurrence, density, overlay, and total link-strength analyses were performed using VOSviewer. The analysis identified 43 dominant terms grouped into four thematic clusters: (1) inclusive HRM and diversity management, (2) workplace accommodation and disclosure, (3) intervention and school-to-work transition, and (4) ADHD and occupational mental health. The findings indicate that autism spectrum disorder and ADHD remain the most prominent topics in the literature. The field has gradually shifted from predominantly clinical and educational perspectives in 2020–2021 toward workplace accommodation in 2022 and more strategic HRM-oriented discussions during 2023–2024. However, link-strength analysis reveals that relationships between core HRM concepts and issues of accommodation, disclosure, and occupational mental health remain relatively fragmented. Moreover, Indonesia-specific and developing-country perspectives are absent from the dominant keyword structure. These findings demonstrate a substantial geographical and conceptual research gap. Accordingly, the study proposes five priority research themes to advance neurodiversity-inclusive HRM in Indonesia and provides a foundation for future empirical, policy-oriented, and organizational research.
