Abstract:Women engaged in marine product processing play a crucial role in the national fisheries value chain, yet this strategic contribution has not been matched with formal recognition, access to resources, or decent welfare levels.…
evels. This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity and social factors on the empowerment and welfare of marine product processing women at the National Fisheries Port (PPN) Karangantu, Serang City, Banten, as well as to formulate a development strategy based on the synergy of these two factors. This research employs a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative methods through PLS-SEM analysis on 235 respondents, and qualitative methods through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The results show that religiosity and social factors have a positive and significant effect on women’s empowerment, which in turn impacts welfare improvement across economic, social, and psychological dimensions. Findings also reveal that religious values which currently focus mainly on ritual aspects, alongside patriarchal social norms, serve as key barriers; meanwhile, community support and the integration of religious values into economic activities act as major reinforcing factors. Based on SWOT analysis, this study proposes strategies for strengthening local value-based institutions, integrating empowerment programs with religious activities, and advocating for policies that support coastal women. This research contributes new insights by presenting an integrated model of religiosity and social dimensions in the empowerment of women in the fisheries sector, an area that has not been widely explored in previous studies.

Abstract:Research paradigms and research methods are two fundamental components that determine the quality, consistency, and credibility of scientific research. However, there are still misunderstandings regarding the relationship…
p between research paradigms and research methods, particularly in determining the approach that best suits the research objectives. This study aims to analyze the concept of research paradigms and their relationship to the selection of research methods. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research through the analysis of various relevant scientific sources, including books, journal articles, and conference proceedings. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify and synthesize various concepts related to research paradigms and methods. The results indicate that research paradigms—such as positivism, post-positivism, interpretivism, constructivism, pragmatism, and the critical paradigm—possess distinct characteristics that influence the selection of research methods. Furthermore, the pragmatist paradigm serves as the dominant foundation for the use of mixed methods. This study makes a theoretical contribution by clarifying the relationship between research paradigms and research methods and serves as a practical reference for researchers in determining the appropriate research approach.
Abstract:Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a very strategic role in the global economy as the backbone of the economy that contributes significantly to economic growth, improving the quality of human capital is a…
key factor in encouraging productivity and economic growth, including in the MSME sector. This research aims to identify, evaluate, and systematically synthesize empirical and conceptual findings related to the role of human capital in increasing the productivity and growth of MSMEs. This study examines the role of human capital in increasing productivity and growth for MSMEs using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. A total of 30 indexed and peer-reviewed scientific articles published in the period 2020 to 2026 were systematically analyzed by following the PRISMA guidelines. This study focuses on four main human capital instruments, namely Resource Based View, Dynamic Capability, and Value Co-Creation as fundamental elements in increasing productivity and growth for MSMEs. The results of the synthesis show that most of the studies identified a positive relationship around 80% of the studies analyzed identified a positive relationship between the application of human capital in increasing productivity and growth of MSMEs, both directly and through the role of mediation and moderation variables. However, not all studies show consistent results. The other 20% of articles showed non-positive results, which included insignificant, conditional, mixed, or negative findings
Abstract:The issue of digitalization of education has led to the increased dependency on Information Systems (IS), especially Learning Management Systems (LMS), to provide continuity of learning after the COVID-19 pandemic situation.…
ion. At Edulab, as a large learning service provider in Indonesia, LMS works as a central of learning provision, evaluation, communication, and academic tracking. Despite the strategic role, there are still frequent problems like unreliable access, incomplete evaluation, flawed data, and deteriorated performance when the system is at its peak usage, and it interferes with the learning processes and lowers the level of user confidence. This paper discusses the effect of LMS quality on service delivery, satisfaction among users and effectiveness of the entire platform at the institution. It is being analyzed in terms of the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model, which is being supplemented by the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. The mixed method was used, which integrated a survey of 1,081 users of the LMS who were estimated through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and a semi-structured interview with key stakeholders of the management. The results suggest that system, information, and service quality are very powerful predictors of user satisfaction with service quality coming out as the most significant factor in LMS effectiveness in service-oriented institutions of learning.
Abstract:This study investigates the role of acquisition premiums in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and their impact on shareholder wealth, focusing on five major Indian deals in pharmaceuticals, retail, banking, steel, and renewable…
able energy sectors. Potential synergies often justify acquisition premiums ranging from approximately 15% to 40% above target companies’ market values. However, market responses suggest that such premiums may not consistently result in value creation for acquiring firms' shareholders. Empirical findings reveal mixed outcomes: Sun Pharma’s acquisition of Ranbaxy led to a 9.8% share price increase within five days, while Tata Steel’s high-premium acquisition of Bhushan Steel saw only a 1.7% gain. In contrast, deals like Reliance–Future Retail and Tata Power–Welspun Power showed minimal or negative returns, despite sizable premiums. These patterns indicate that premium size alone is not a reliable predictor of post-deal shareholder wealth creation. The study concludes that M&A success depends more on strategic fit, market timing, and sectoral dynamics than on the premium offered. This analysis contributes to the broader M&A discourse by offering evidence-based insights into how premium valuations can either maximise or dilute shareholder value, aiding investors, corporate strategists, and policy analysts in deal assessment.
Abstract:The main objective of this study is to compare and analyze the effectiveness of the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) method in optimizing raw material inventory management in the Nias Tofu business. This study uses a…
mixed method. Primary data in this study were obtained directly from the Nias Tofu business through observations and interviews, while secondary data were obtained from the company in the form of production data from the Nias Tofu Product business in 2024. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis techniques and the steps taken in the method analysis.MRP. According to the analysis results, the 2024 soybean raw material purchasing and demand data using the conventional method showed a shortage of raw materials of 14,200 kg with an order frequency of 14 times. Inventory management experienced inefficiencies, namely storage costs of IDR 1,600,000 and ordering costs of IDR 400,000, and raw material shortages still occurred, while the application of the MRP method resulted in order planning with an order frequency of 6 times, a fixed order quantity of 16,784 kg, and a much lower total inventory cost of IDR 335,160. The implementation of the MRP method has proven successful in eliminating raw material shortages and reducing operational costs so that the production process runs more smoothly and efficiently. This study proves that the application of MRP is effective in managing raw materials and optimizing production in the Nias Tofu business, making a significant contribution to smooth production and inventory cost efficiency.
Abstract:A mid-sized school district could achieve annual savings of $2.3 million—sufficient to support significant teacher salary increases—by streamlining procurement processes and reducing the number of suppliers from 87 to 12.…
o 12. This practical success reflects the operational rigor of enterprise models, exemplified by Walmart Business, which has been successfully tailored for K-12 education. The study indicates a systemic crisis. Sixty-eight percent of U.S. districts experience a 19% loss of their non-payroll budgets due to procurement inefficiencies, resulting in significant financial losses for classrooms attributed to fragmented purchasing and compliance deficiencies. The study employs a rigorous mixed-methods analysis, incorporating in-depth case studies from 35 districts, a national survey of 300 procurement officers, and comprehensive spend analytics, to illustrate the transformative outcomes associated with enhanced procurement maturity. Consolidated purchasing platforms reduce processing costs by 53% and capture 92% of rebates. Additionally, the new Procurement Simplicity Scorecard predicts 79% efficiency gains, offering leaders a practical diagnostic tool. This study presents two validated innovations: the K-12 Procurement Maturity Model, which delineates a phased progression from fragmentation to strategic excellence, and the Zero-Waste Playbook, which details tactical measures for waste elimination. The evidence indicates that reengineering procurement is not merely an administrative concern; it represents a significant, frequently neglected mechanism for generating billions in savings by 2025. These funds have the potential to enhance arts programs, update outdated STEM laboratories, and recruit and retain high-quality educators. This research offers a definitive framework for districts aiming to transform waste into opportunities for equity.
Abstract:In an uncertain economic climate, a large global retailer used AI-powered spend intelligence to move $220 million from indirect operational costs toward high-impact R&D. In a difficult recession, this decisive step boosted…
ed revenue by 11%, demonstrating the transformative impact of effective capital management. This achievement contrasts with "spend blindness," where industry studies show most financial leaders struggle to link expenditure patterns to strategic growth outcomes and resort to reactive cost-cutting. This study addresses this crucial gap. A thorough mixed-methods approach including a global survey of 400 CFOs, longitudinal case studies of ten multinational organizations, and advanced predictive modeling substantiated a new paradigm. Research shows that companies that understand AI-driven spend orchestration develop 7.3% faster than competitors. This premium comes from a 37% improvement in the Growth Efficiency Ratio (GER), a critical statistic for translating savings into innovation, and 5.8 times more strategic investment opportunities than standard financial approaches allow. The Spend Intelligence Quotient (SIQ), a groundbreaking statistic that assesses financial agility through integrated spend monitoring, predictive analytics, and rapid capital reallocation, is key to this advantage. This paper introduces the empirically based Spend Orchestration Framework and the requirements for the 2025 AI Finance Stack to obtain SIQ >80, the empirically proven threshold for sustainable competitive advantage. The message is clear: finance chiefs must go beyond oversight. Today's CFO may use predictive contracting and algorithmic governance to turn spend data into strategic leverage, ensure resilience, and capture disproportionate value in.
Abstract:Blockchain technology is touted for democratizing supply chains, but 30–40% of smallholder farmers are excluded from fair market participation due to information gaps and power imbalances. The first complete empirical examination…
examination of blockchain's capacity to empower disadvantaged farmers in Global South agri-food systems. The paper examines 15 large-scale implementations, including Kenyan coffee cooperatives and Indian dairy collectives, using a rigorous mixed-methods methodology. Technical scalability in resource-limited situations, governance structures that promote meaningful multi-stakeholder engagement, and quantifiable inclusion results for small-scale farmers are thoroughly examined. Comparative case study, agent-based adoption modeling, and quasi-experimental effect evaluation by Propensity Score matching reveal that blockchain's potential is not automatic nor inherent in eight nations. Techno-institutional synergy, not technological complexity, improves democracy, the research shows. Hybrid governance systems with farmer-controlled validator nodes and tokenized decision-making rights enhanced smallholder involvement by 58% and premium retention by 78% over corporate-controlled systems. However, technologically sophisticated deployments without institutional expertise frequently increase power concentration and exclusion. The blockchain viability index helps identify optimal deployment conditions for different commodities, empirical evidence challenges the idea that decentralization automatically promotes inclusion, and the inclusion-by-design framework helps policymakers embed equitable principles into decentralized agri-tech from the start. This study shows food system digitization practitioners and scholars that genuine democratization occurs when technology drives institutional transformation.
