Customer Service Automation Through Ai-Powered CRM: Impact On Marketing Target Accuracy

Windarsari, Wiwin Riski
Abstract: This study addresses the limitations of traditional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems by analyzing the adoption and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration (AI-Powered CRM). Informed by the Technology… logy Acceptance Model (TAM) for employee perception and the Resource-Based View (RBV) for strategic capability, the primary objective is to evaluate how AI-driven automation enhances customer service processes and, subsequently, impacts marketing efficiency. The research employs an exploratory qualitative case study design, utilizing in-depth interviews, document analysis, and system observation on a single organization to gather rich, contextual data. The results demonstrate that AI integration significantly accelerated service, with chatbots handling 65–70% of routine queries and drastically reducing response times. Operationally, these improvements fostered high employee acceptance (TAM). Strategically, the AI-Powered CRM generated refined predictive analytics, resulting in a 12–18% improvement in campaign conversion rates and efficient resource allocation, confirming that AI creates a valuable and difficult-to-imitate strategic capability (RBV). The study concludes that AI-Powered CRM is a critical enabler for both operational efficiency and long-term strategic competitiveness in digital markets.

Local Knowledge And Social Capital As Financial Buffers: Understanding MSMEs Risk Mitigation Strategies In Indonesia

Amin, Andi Mustika
Abstract: Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in developing countries like Indonesia are highly vulnerable to financial risks yet often lack formal risk-management practices, relying instead on personal experience, intuition,… ion, and culturally rooted local practices to navigate financial uncertainty. This study aimed to identify MSME owners' perceptions of financial risks, explore informal mitigation strategies based on local experience and community practices, analyze the influence of cultural norms and social networks, and propose a contextually grounded problem-solving framework. Employing a qualitative research design, the study used in-depth semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis with MSME owners, and analyzed the data using thematic analysis and triangulation to ensure credibility. The results revealed three primary financial risk-mitigation strategies: adaptive cash-flow management, reliance on social capital and local economic networks, and experiential diversification driven by local market knowledge. The findings demonstrate that MSMEs develop resilience through culturally embedded practices and social structures, confirming that interventions should leverage existing informal mechanisms and integrate culturally compatible tools rather than imposing rigid formal frameworks.

The Effect of Word of Mouth and Promotion on Purchasing Decisions for Alauddin Makassar Branch Fore Products

Santy, Raeni Dwi, Nur DJ, Arini Izzatan, Rostini, Zhalila, Annisa, Syahribulan
Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of Word of Mouth (WOM) and promotion on consumer purchasing decisions for Fore Coffee products at the Alauddin Makassar branch. In the current digital era, consumer behavior is heavily… vily influenced by peer recommendations and digital promotional strategies. Using a quantitative research approach with stratified random sampling, data were collected from 100 respondents through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to assess the impact of the two independent variables—WOM and promotion—on purchasing decisions. The results showed that WOM has a significant partial influence on purchasing decisions, indicating that peer communication, both traditional and electronic, is a dominant factor in shaping consumer perceptions and preferences. Promotion, on the other hand, did not show a significant partial effect, suggesting that price incentives alone may not be sufficient to influence purchasing behavior unless reinforced by social influence or trust. However, the simultaneous effect of WOM and promotion was statistically significant, emphasizing their combined role in consumer decision-making. The study concludes that WOM is a more dominant and effective marketing tool than standalone promotions and should be central to marketing strategies in the lifestyle-based coffee industry. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and offer practical implications for enhancing marketing effectiveness through integrated communication approaches.

The Role of Online Reviews as a Mediator in The Decision to Purchase Fashion Products at Shopee

Utami, Rizki Amalia, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Wardana, Ludi Wishnu
Abstract: The development of digital technology has transformed consumer consumption patterns, particularly in the fashion industry, which is increasingly dominated by e-commerce platforms. Shopee, as one of the largest marketplaces… es in Southeast Asia, has become a primary choice for consumers when shopping for fashion products. One factor influencing consumer purchasing decisions is the availability of online reviews on the platform. This study aims to analyze the role of online reviews as a mediating variable in fashion product purchasing decisions on Shopee. Online reviews serve as a source of information that helps consumers evaluate product quality, seller reputation, and the level of satisfaction of previous users. The research method used was a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to Shopee consumers who had previously purchased fashion products. The collected data was then analyzed using a path analysis model to examine the direct and indirect relationships between factors influencing purchasing decisions. The results show that online reviews play a significant role as a mediator in the decision-making process. Consumers tend to trust other users' real-life experiences more than solely the seller's product description. Positive reviews increase consumer interest and confidence in a product, while negative reviews can delay or even cancel a purchase decision. These findings confirm that the presence of online reviews is not only a supporting factor but also serves as a bridge, mediating the relationship between consumer perceptions of a product and the final purchase decision. The implication of this research is that sellers on Shopee need to pay attention to product and service quality to generate positive reviews, thereby increasing purchase conversion rates.

Silmi, Kevin Ghulaman, Budi Eko, Budi Eko Soetjipto, Ludi Wishnu, Ludi Wishnu Wardhana
Abstract: Multi-sensory brand experience has emerged as a crucial factor in modern marketing, significantly influencing customer satisfaction, brand perception, and loyalty. Despite its increasing importance, research in this area… remains fragmented, with theoretical integration and empirical validation gaps. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis using the Scopus database to map the evolution of research on multi-sensory brand experiences and their impact on customer satisfaction. From an initial dataset of 203 documents, a rigorous selection process resulted in 41 relevant articles for in-depth analysis. Using VOS viewer, the study visualizes research networks, inter-topic relationships, and emerging trends, revealing a 47% increase in publication volume from 2012 to 2024. Findings indicate that customer satisfaction, consumer behaviour, and sales are dominant themes, with sentiment analysis and digital technology (AI, AR) gaining traction in recent years. However, significant gaps remain, particularly in experimental studies quantifying the long-term impact of multi-sensory experiences on customer loyalty and cross-industry comparisons of multi-sensory branding effectiveness. The novelty of this study lies in its combined bibliometric and systematic approach, which identifies critical research trends, theoretical gaps, and emerging digital strategies in multi-sensory marketing. This study contributes to the academic discourse by comprehensively synthesizing research trends and proposing future research directions in technology-driven branding strategies and consumer engagement.

Prasetya, Feri Andika, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Wardhana, Ludi Wishnu
Abstract: In an increasingly competitive business landscape, establishing a strong brand position is not merely an option but a necessity. Effective brand positioning not only helps brands differentiate themselves from competitors… but also fosters a deeper emotional connection with customers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between brand positioning and customer loyalty using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. By reviewing previous research published in indexed journals, this study identifies key factors influencing the success of brand positioning, including product differentiation, customer perception, and brand communication consistency. The findings indicate that brands with a clear and consistent position in customers' minds are more likely to build long-term loyalty. Customers who feel connected to a brand’s values and identity are more inclined to remain loyal and even recommend the brand to others. Furthermore, this study reveals that the transition to the digital era has significantly altered how brands establish and maintain their position, with digital marketing strategies and message personalization emerging as critical factors in sustaining customer loyalty. This research underscores the importance of businesses not only in crafting a strong brand image but also in ensuring that customer experiences align with the brand’s promised values. By understanding and implementing effective brand positioning principles, companies can foster deeper and more sustainable relationships with their customers while enhancing their competitive edge in the market.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Government Business Incubators in encouraging the growth of MSMEs in Makassar City. Using a qualitative approach and case study research design, this study explores the… experiences and perceptions of MSME actors and incubator managers regarding the impact of incubation on their business development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation related to the incubation program run by Makassar Technopark and Makassar City Business Incubator. The results of the study indicate that business incubators have a positive impact on improving managerial skills, wider market access, and strong business networks for MSMEs. However, there are challenges related to the suitability of training materials to the needs of specific sectors, difficulties in accessing capital, and limited time that MSME actors can invest in participating in the incubation program. Lack of ongoing mentoring after the incubation is complete is also one of the obstacles faced by business actors. Therefore, this study recommends adjusting the incubation program to be more relevant to the needs of each MSME sector, as well as increasing post-incubation support to ensure business sustainability.

Ishak, Andi Dorawati, Entong, Andi Ellyanti, Entong, Andi, Haris, Andi Tenri Lawa Putri Lanrang
Abstract: This study examines employees' perceptions of work-life balance implementation in a hybrid work environment, a model that has gained popularity in the post-COVID-19 era. Hybrid work arrangements offer flexibility by allowing… wing employees to alternate between remote and office-based work, providing opportunities to balance professional and personal responsibilities. However, the blurred boundaries between work and personal life in a hybrid setting can create challenges, such as overworking, interruptions during personal time, and social isolation. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences, challenges, and factors influencing work-life balance in hybrid work environments. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions with employees from various sectors. The findings reveal that while hybrid work promotes flexibility and autonomy, it also increases the risk of stress and burnout due to a lack of clear boundaries and insufficient organizational support. Factors such as flexible scheduling, supportive leadership, and access to user-friendly digital tools were identified as enablers of work-life balance. This research highlights the dual impact of hybrid work on work-life balance and emphasizes the need for clear organizational policies, leadership training, and technological support to ensure employee well-being. The findings provide actionable recommendations for organizations to optimize hybrid work practices.
