Analysis of the Effect of Basic Infrastructure and Human Resources on Gross Regional Domestic Product in Indonesia in 2017-2021

Fitrahmayudi, M. Razaka, Ambya, Ambya
Abstract: Indonesia, an archipelago with a diverse and growing population of 278.69 million as of mid-2023, faces both advantages and challenges in its pursuit of becoming a developed country. The key challenge lies in the unequal… distribution of infrastructure development, especially in remote areas. Economic growth, driven by increased goods and services, is closely tied to infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water distribution. This study analyzes the impact of these infrastructural elements and labor force participation on economic growth, measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), across 34 provinces from 2017 to 2021. Using panel data regression, the results reveal that road length, electricity distribution, and clean water distribution have significant positive effects on GRDP. However, labor force participation shows an insignificant impact. Together, these variables explain 57% of GRDP growth. The findings highlight the critical role of infrastructure in economic development, with provinces like Jakarta leading the growth while regions like North Maluku lag behind. Improving infrastructure and addressing regional disparities are essential to enhancing Indonesia’s overall economic performance.

Usmar, Usmar, Prihanto, Hendi, Lanori, Tamrin, Selfiani, Selfiani
Abstract: Green culture, an organizational approach centered on environmental consciousness and practices, plays an increasingly significant role in promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study investigates the influence… ence of green culture on the progress of SDGs, focusing on the integration of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable. Through this exploration, we aim to understand how GCG can either enhance or hinder the effectiveness of green culture initiatives toward achieving specific SDG targets. This research uses a quantitative approach, analyzing data from organizations implementing green culture practices alongside structured GCG frameworks. Results indicate that companies that prioritize green culture see measurable improvements in meeting SDG objectives, especially in areas like resource management, waste reduction, and energy efficiency. The moderation effect of GCG shows that governance policies significantly influence the success of green initiatives, either amplifying their benefits or presenting challenges in aligning with sustainability goals. Key findings highlight that effective GCG not only supports environmental practices but also enhances organizational transparency and stakeholder trust. This study underscores the need for organizations to adopt integrated approaches where green culture and GCG work in synergy to maximize the positive impacts on SDG achievements. Such a framework can serve as a model for sustainable development, providing a pathway for businesses to balance profitability with global environmental and social responsibilities.

The Relationship Between Self-Compassion and Body Dissatisfaction Among Psychology Students at Bhayangkara University Jakarta Raya

Gardyanie Hermawan, Liza
Abstract: Feelings of inferiority represent a significant psycho-social issue for individuals, often leading to difficulties in decision-making, hesitancy, a lack of assertiveness, withdrawal, and heightened emotional sensitivity.… These challenges are particularly prevalent among adolescents, who frequently compare themselves to others in their environment. Body dissatisfaction emerges when adolescents compare their actual body to an idealized version and struggle to accept their current appearance. One factor influencing body dissatisfaction is self-compassion, which can either mitigate or exacerbate these feelings. This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-compassion and body dissatisfaction among students of the Faculty of Psychology at Bhayangkara University Jakarta Raya. Using convenience sampling, 100 students participated in the study. The findings indicate a significant negative correlation between self-compassion and body dissatisfaction, with a correlation coefficient of r = -0.803*** and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).

Hasanuddin, Hasanuddin, Manggasing, Nasir, Rivai, Abdul, Rezky Handayani, Ika, Hamsa, Ma’mun, Triani, Neni, Haryono, Dandan
Abstract: This study aims to explore and understand the dynamics of community participation in the village development planning process (Musrenbangdes) in Tambayoli Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency. Using a qualitative… itative approach, data were collected through purposive sampling, open data collection methods, and analysis of both textual and visual materials. The primary methods of data collection included participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. The findings reveal that, although some awareness of Musrenbangdes has been achieved through existing announcement systems, the overall effectiveness of community participation remains limited. Many residents perceive the process as a formality, with decisions dominated by specific stakeholders, leading to low levels of trust and engagement. The study identifies significant barriers to active participation, such as inadequate information dissemination, lack of transparency, and limited involvement in both the implementation and benefit-sharing of development projects. The research suggests that for Musrenbangdes to be more effective, there needs to be a concerted effort to enhance transparency, ensure equitable information distribution, and create a more inclusive participatory framework. These findings have implications for improving governance and promoting sustainable development at the village level.

Self-Regulated Learning as a Predictor of Learning Achievement of Underachiever Students at SMPN 12 Bekasi City

Rosidah, Rosidah, Sri Pertiwi, Eva
Abstract: This study explores the impact of self-regulated learning on the academic achievement of underachieving students at SMPN 12 Bekasi City. Self-regulated learning, a critical element in academic success, includes the ability… ty to plan, monitor, and evaluate one’s learning activities. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method, selecting 49 underachieving students through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using structured questionnaires completed by the students. Statistical analysis identified a significant but negative relationship between self-regulated learning and academic performance, with a correlation coefficient of -0.172. This suggests that students with lower self-regulation tend to perform worse academically. The findings highlight the importance of targeted interventions to improve self-regulated learning skills among underachievers, which could potentially enhance their academic success.

The Influence of Emotional Regulation on Academic Resilience in Students Who Are Working on Their Thesis

Budi Prasetyo, Fauzi, Nur’Aini, Aulia, Sarah Febriani, Anggia
Abstract: This study aims to determine the role of emotion regulation on academic resilience in 10th, 12th, and 14th semester students who are working on an undergraduate thesis. The research method used is quantitative, employing… multiple regression analysis techniques to analyze the data. The instruments used in this study include the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) scale, developed by Gross and John (2003), to measure emotion regulation, and The Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30), developed by Cassidy (2016), to measure academic resilience. The results of the study reveal that there is a significant positive effect of cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation on academic resilience among students in their 10th, 12th, and 14th semesters who are working on their thesis, accounting for 27.1% of the variance in academic resilience. This finding suggests that students who engage in cognitive reappraisal, a strategy that involves reinterpreting a situation to change its emotional impact, are more likely to demonstrate resilience in the face of academic challenges. In contrast, the study found no significant effect of expressive suppression emotion regulation on academic resilience in the same group of students. Expressive suppression, which involves inhibiting the outward expression of emotions, does not appear to contribute to the ability of students to remain resilient while working on their thesis. These findings highlight the importance of cognitive emotion regulation strategies in fostering academic resilience among students, particularly during challenging academic tasks such as thesis completion.
