Lawolo, Medarman Jaya, Halawa, Odaligoziduhu, Duha, Tiarni, Hulu, Fatolosa
Abstract: This study aims to understand the communication used by the leader, describe employee work discipline, and analyse the leadership communication strategy used to improve work discipline at the Somolo-Molo District Office.… A descriptive qualitative case-study design was employed. Seven informants were selected purposively: one key informant (the District Head), two main informants (the District Secretary and the Head of General Affairs Subdivision), and four supporting informants (employees/staff). Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation and analysed through data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings show that leadership communication is open and two-way and combines meetings, assemblies, direct communication, letters/dispositions, digital media, and informal communication. Work discipline is categorised as fairly good but not yet fully consistent. In measurable qualitative terms, all seven informants described attendance as generally maintained, while all seven also identified occasional lateness and the need for stronger consistency; effective use of working hours, leave/out-of-office reporting, and completion of some tasks still require reminders. Leadership communication is implemented through informative, persuasive, educational, repetitive, role-modelling, personal coaching, supervision, gradual reprimand, proportionate firmness, evaluation, and positive reinforcement approaches. Identified improvements include better punctuality, more orderly absence reporting, more effective use of working hours, and faster task completion. Sustainable discipline requires consistent rule enforcement, routine briefings, documented follow-up, multichannel communication, and exemplary conduct across all levels of leadership.

Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Financial Crisis Early Warning System

Judijanto, Loso, Rizani, Ahmad, Devita, Hety
Abstract: Financial crisis is a serious threat to economic stability, so an effective early warning system is needed to detect and anticipate potential risks early on. The implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in financial… l crisis early warning systems offers significant advantages through big data analysis capabilities, non-linear pattern detection, and more accurate and faster risk prediction than conventional methods. Studies have shown that machine learning and deep learning algorithms can improve crisis prediction accuracy, expand the scope of risk monitoring, and support more responsive decision-making by regulators and financial industry players. However, challenges such as data quality, security, model transparency, and human resource readiness still need to be addressed for optimal AI implementation. This study concludes that with good governance, investment in infrastructure and human resources, and adaptive regulations, AI can be a strategic tool in strengthening early warning systems and maintaining financial sector resilience in the digital era.

Ace Up One's Sleeve: A Systematic Communicative Review of Journalistic Media Dominance in Shaping the Contemporary Political Landscape

Siregar, Rahman, Saragih, Muhammad Yoserizal
Abstract: This article aims to analyze the role of journalistic media in shaping the contemporary political landscape, focusing on its ability to manipulate and direct public opinion and policy. Considering the media's dominance in… n agenda setting, this study highlights the urgency of understanding its broad influence on democracy and public policy. Journalistic media, which has transformed from a passive information provider to an active opinion shaper, plays a crucial role in this fast-paced and widespread information era. Therefore, a deep understanding of how media shapes political narratives is essential to maintaining the integrity of the democratic process. The methodology used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which involves the collection and analysis of data from previously published sources to build a comprehensive understanding of the media's role in politics. This approach allows for the identification of trends, challenges, and the broader impact of media on politics. Additionally, this study employs theoretical analysis by combining Media Dependency Theory and Agenda Setting Theory to examine how public dependence on media and media's power in setting the agenda influence political dynamics. The results of the study indicate that media often leverages its strategic position to direct public opinion, which can significantly impact election outcomes and public policy. The high public dependence on media for information makes the media a powerful tool in shaping the political agenda, often benefiting media owners or specific interest groups. Based on the findings and discussion, this article recommends the need for stricter media oversight and increased media literacy among the public to reduce bias and ensure that the media plays its role as an effective watchdog rather than a biased opinion shaper. These recommendations aim to support policies that promote transparency and integrity in journalism, ensuring that the media can continue to be a pillar of healthy democracy without compromising objectivity or accountability.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN ACCOUNTING PRACTICES: EVIDENCE FROM INDONESIAN COMPANIES

Ringo, Henro Siringo, Suhartini, Dwi
Abstract: Digital transformation has changed accounting from a transaction-recording function into a data-driven, technology-enabled, and strategic business process. This study aims to examine how digital transformation reshapes accounting… ccounting practices in Indonesian companies, particularly in financial reporting, management accounting, auditing, internal control, and accountant competencies. The study applies an interpretive qualitative approach through document-based case synthesis and thematic analysis of thirty-five recent national and international studies published within the last five years. The analysis identifies five major themes: automation of routine accounting activities, cloud-based accounting information systems and enterprise resource planning integration, artificial intelligence and robotic process automation in accounting and auditing, the transformation of accountants into digital analysts and business advisors, and governance challenges related to data quality, ethics, cybersecurity, and internal control. The findings indicate that Indonesian companies benefit from digital accounting through faster reporting, improved information quality, more efficient operations, and better decision-making. Nevertheless, the transformation is constrained by uneven digital literacy, limited readiness of accounting human resources, resistance to system change, weak data governance, and the need for stronger ethical safeguards. This study contributes to accounting literature by providing a qualitative synthesis of digital transformation in Indonesian corporate accounting practices and by offering practical implications for companies, accountants, auditors, and accounting education institutions.

Susilowati , Eni, Rofik, Eka Nur, M. Maghfiroh, Ana, Murdinar, Hardining Estu
Abstract: This study aims to examine the economic behavior of the community around Dhoho Airport, Kediri, which has undergone socio-economic transformation due to strategic infrastructure development. This phenomenon is evident in… Kediri Regency, East Java, especially after the start of the construction of Dhoho Airport, a national strategic project designed to be a lever for regional economic growth. The presence of the airport has changed the face of the surrounding area, which was previously agricultural land and modest settlements, into a bustling and fast-growing economic area. This change has led to a surge in new economic activities, such as the emergence of street vendors, restaurants, parking lots, local transportation businesses, and lodging. Using a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, this study explores the meanings raised by local economic actors in responding to these changes. The findings show that communities show adaptive responses through trade, lodging, and other services, with economic meanings influenced by local values such as blessing, hard work, and kinship. This study concludes that people's economic behavior is not only rational instrumental, but also full of subjective values and meanings, so that regional economic policies need to be designed in an inclusive and contextual manner

Beyond Cost Control: How AI-Powered Spend Orchestration Unlocks 7.3% Growth Premiums in 2025

Dzreke, Simon Suwanzy
Abstract: In an uncertain economic climate, a large global retailer used AI-powered spend intelligence to move $220 million from indirect operational costs toward high-impact R&D. In a difficult recession, this decisive step boosted… ed revenue by 11%, demonstrating the transformative impact of effective capital management. This achievement contrasts with "spend blindness," where industry studies show most financial leaders struggle to link expenditure patterns to strategic growth outcomes and resort to reactive cost-cutting. This study addresses this crucial gap. A thorough mixed-methods approach including a global survey of 400 CFOs, longitudinal case studies of ten multinational organizations, and advanced predictive modeling substantiated a new paradigm. Research shows that companies that understand AI-driven spend orchestration develop 7.3% faster than competitors. This premium comes from a 37% improvement in the Growth Efficiency Ratio (GER), a critical statistic for translating savings into innovation, and 5.8 times more strategic investment opportunities than standard financial approaches allow. The Spend Intelligence Quotient (SIQ), a groundbreaking statistic that assesses financial agility through integrated spend monitoring, predictive analytics, and rapid capital reallocation, is key to this advantage. This paper introduces the empirically based Spend Orchestration Framework and the requirements for the 2025 AI Finance Stack to obtain SIQ >80, the empirically proven threshold for sustainable competitive advantage. The message is clear: finance chiefs must go beyond oversight. Today's CFO may use predictive contracting and algorithmic governance to turn spend data into strategic leverage, ensure resilience, and capture disproportionate value in.
