Putri, Viona Rosalinda Dwi, Pertiwi, Tri Kartika, Haryana, Nanik
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of consumer trust in mediating the effects of affiliate marketing and online customer ratings on purchase decisions for fashion products among Shopee users in Surabaya. A quantitative… approach was used in this research, with data collected through questionnaires from 100 Shopee users in Surabaya. The data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method to examine the direct and mediating relationships between the variables: affiliate marketing, online customer ratings, consumer trust, and purchase decisions. Validity and reliability tests of the instruments were also performed to ensure the accuracy of the variable measurements in this research model. The findings indicate that affiliate marketing does not significantly drive consumer purchase decisions. However, consumer trust plays a key role in mediating the relationship between affiliate marketing and purchase decisions. Without trust, affiliate marketing promotions have limited influence. Additionally, online customer ratings positively influence purchase decisions, and consumer trust is crucial in mediating the relationship between online customer ratings and purchase decisions. Positive ratings from other customers enhance trust in both the product and the seller.

The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-test, and determination test with the aid of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that brand image has a positive and significant effect on students' purchasing decisions in online shopping. This finding implies that the stronger the brand image, the higher the tendency of students to make online purchases. The Role of Online Reviews as a Mediator in The Decision to Purchase Fashion Products at Shopee

Utami, Rizki Amalia, Soetjipto, Budi Eko, Wardana, Ludi Wishnu
Abstract: The development of digital technology has transformed consumer consumption patterns, particularly in the fashion industry, which is increasingly dominated by e-commerce platforms. Shopee, as one of the largest marketplaces… es in Southeast Asia, has become a primary choice for consumers when shopping for fashion products. One factor influencing consumer purchasing decisions is the availability of online reviews on the platform. This study aims to analyze the role of online reviews as a mediating variable in fashion product purchasing decisions on Shopee. Online reviews serve as a source of information that helps consumers evaluate product quality, seller reputation, and the level of satisfaction of previous users. The research method used was a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to Shopee consumers who had previously purchased fashion products. The collected data was then analyzed using a path analysis model to examine the direct and indirect relationships between factors influencing purchasing decisions. The results show that online reviews play a significant role as a mediator in the decision-making process. Consumers tend to trust other users' real-life experiences more than solely the seller's product description. Positive reviews increase consumer interest and confidence in a product, while negative reviews can delay or even cancel a purchase decision. These findings confirm that the presence of online reviews is not only a supporting factor but also serves as a bridge, mediating the relationship between consumer perceptions of a product and the final purchase decision. The implication of this research is that sellers on Shopee need to pay attention to product and service quality to generate positive reviews, thereby increasing purchase conversion rates.

Technical data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using statistics Product and Service Solution (SPSS) v.21. The multiple linear regression equation produces the equation Y = 5.451 + 0.697X1 + 0.052X2. Thus the results of this study found that The Word of Mouth variable has a positive and significant effect on decisions Consumer. The results of the correlation analysis of determination (R Square) were 0.487 or 48.7%. This shows that the percentage influence of the independent variable amounting to 48.7%. Meanwhile, the remaining 51.3% was influenced or explained by other variables not included in this research model. F count (32.327)> F table (3.128) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. So hypothesis that is accepted is H1 which means variable X (Organic WOM and Amplified WOM) simultaneously has a significant influence on variable Y (Consumer Decision). Meanwhile, the t test results explain the calculated t for variable X1 is (7.185) > t table (1.995) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05.
