Wulandari, Dinda Eka, Afiah, Nur, Nuraisyiah
Abstract: This study discusses the effectiveness of the Swallow Nest Tax in increasing Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Luwu Regency. The research problem focuses on the low realization of tax revenue compared to the set target… and the suboptimal contribution of the swallow nest tax to PAD. The objective of this study is to analyze the level of effectiveness of the swallow nest tax and the factors influencing it. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using an elasticity ratio approach and an interactive analysis model. The results show that the swallow nest tax has not been effective in increasing PAD, with an average elasticity value of -0.03% (inelastic) during the 2022–2024 period. The realization of tax revenue is still far below the established target. This condition is influenced by low taxpayer awareness, suboptimal business reporting, limited supervision, and unstable harvest yields. As a result, the tax effectiveness remains low and has not provided a significant contribution to PAD.

Evaluating Cost Center Managers through Accountability Accounting at PT Mayora Indah Tbk

Sangkala, Masnawaty
Abstract: This study aims to evaluate cost-center managers through the implementation of accountability accounting at PT Mayora Indah Tbk. Accountability accounting is examined as a managerial control mechanism that links cost responsibility,… ponsibility, budgeting, cost realization, and performance evaluation within an organizational responsibility structure. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method using secondary data obtained from the company’s financial statements and related financial information. The analysis focuses on the extent to which accountability accounting supports the assessment of cost-center managers by identifying controllable costs, comparing budgeted and actual costs, and evaluating cost variances. The findings indicate that accountability accounting plays an important role in strengthening cost control and managerial performance assessment. Although the company demonstrated positive revenue performance, increased operating costs affected the achievement of operating profit and net profit. This condition shows that financial performance cannot be assessed only from revenue growth, but must also consider the effectiveness of cost management. Therefore, accountability accounting provides a more objective basis for evaluating cost-center managers, particularly in monitoring cost efficiency and responsibility-based performance. The novelty of this study lies in positioning accountability accounting not merely as a financial reporting practice, but as a practical evaluation framework for cost-center managerial performance in a publicly listed manufacturing company.

Pribadi, Scholastica Wahyu
Abstract: Abstract also written in English containing key issues, objectives, methods and results. Abstract This study examines the role of service creativity in the performing arts ecosystem within the context of cultural tourism,… m, highlighting how service processes contribute to value creation beyond the artistic aspect. Cultural tourism has shifted from an object-based orientation to an experiential one, understanding performing arts not merely as a creative product but as an experience constructed through interactions between service providers and consumers. In this context, service becomes an integral part of the value creation process and audience satisfaction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method at PT Mata Hati Kitapoleng, a performing arts company in Bali. Data collection was conducted through in-depth semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observation. This research focuses on how service creativity is built through organizational processes, interactions, and practices. The results show that service creativity is formed through a structured yet flexible process, which integrates empathy for consumers, team collaboration, idea exploration, and continuous evaluation. The design thinking approach enables companies to deeply understand consumer needs and translate them into personalized and meaningful experiences. Service in this context is understood as a co-creative process, where consumers play an active role in shaping the final outcome. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction is influenced by various factors, such as trust, production and financial efficiency, innovation capacity, and evaluation and feedback mechanisms. This research confirms that service creativity is a strategic element in enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of performing arts businesses within the cultural tourism ecosystem.

The Influence of Quality of Work Life and Personality on Organizational Commitment: A Case Study of Employees at UD Fatoni

Kesan Oktavian Ali, Mukmin Suryatni
Abstract: This study analyzes the influence of Quality of Work Life (QWL) and Personality (Big Five Personality Traits) on employee Organizational Commitment at UD Fatoni in Central Lombok, filling the empirical gap regarding the… interaction of external and internal factors in the context of local SMEs prone to high turnover. The main objective is to prove the partial and simultaneous influence of both variables on employee commitment. An explanatory quantitative approach was applied with a population of 40 employees using census techniques, primary data through a valid and reliable 5-point Likert questionnaire (Cronbach's Alpha >0.60), and multiple linear regression analysis via IBM SPSS 25 after the classical assumption test was met. The results showed that QWL had no significant effect partially (sig=0.253>0.05; β=0.149), while Personality had a significant positive effect (sig=0.002<0.05; β=0.604), with a strong simultaneous effect (F=8.852; sig=0.001) explaining 32.4% of the commitment variance. In conclusion, internal factors dominate loyalty in trading SMEs, providing theoretical contributions to organizational behavior models and practical implications for management in personality assessment and optimization of basic QWL for sustainable retention.

Audina, Herlinda Nia, Trisnaningsih, Sri
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the application of green accounting in hazardous waste management and its role in mitigating ecological risks in the biopharma industry, with a case study at PT Daewoong Infion. The background… of the study is driven by the increasing risk of environmental and health pollution due to hazardous waste generated by the biopharmaceutical production process, as well as the limitations of conventional accounting systems in capturing ecological costs and impacts. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, through primary data collection in the form of in-depth interviews with key informants and field observations, as well as secondary data from company documents and related regulations. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and interpretively to identify green accounting practices, environmental cost components, and ecological risk mitigation mechanisms. The results show that PT Daewoong Infion has implemented green accounting through the recognition and recording of hazardous waste management costs, pollution control, and environmental disclosure, which contributes to increased regulatory compliance, waste management efficiency, and ecological risk reduction. In addition, these practices strengthen the company's legitimacy and meet stakeholder expectations, in line with legitimacy theory and stakeholder theory. This study concludes that green accounting serves as an effective managerial and reporting instrument in integrating economic objectives and ecological responsibility, thereby supporting the operational sustainability of the biopharma industry. These findings recommend strengthening environmental cost measurement systems and reporting transparency to enhance sustainable ecological risk mitigation.

Understanding Accounting Practices in Culinary MSMEs In The Tanjung Bunga Metro Area, Makassar City

Saleh, Andi Mulia, Alimuddin, Said, Darwis
Abstract: The focus of research shifts from the dominance of positivism to a non-positivistic approach that places meaning, interpretation, and social construction at the center of analysis. One of the main approaches within this… paradigm is Grounded Theory Research (GTR), a qualitative method developed by Glaser and Strauss (1967) to build empirically data-based theory through a rigorous inductive process. In the accounting context, GTR becomes increasingly relevant because reporting practices, accountability, and financial decision-making cannot be understood solely through objective measurements, but rather through social interactions, organizational values, and the interpretations of the actors involved (Ahrens & Chapman, 2006). This article aims to examine the role and relevance of GTR in modern accounting research by highlighting its philosophical foundations, methodological procedures, and contributions to the development of practice-based accounting theory. Through a systematic literature review, it is found that GTR has the ability to uncover the social dynamics that shape accounting practices such as accountability, ethics, managerial control, and institutional legitimacy that have previously been overlooked by positivistic approaches (Charmaz, 2006; Bryant & Charmaz, 2007). GTR has also proven relevant in the context of changing reporting systems, accounting digitalization, and the integration of sustainability principles such as ESG, where meaning, professional identity, and interpretive processes are dominant elements (Adams & Larrinaga, 2019). The study's findings confirm that GTR not only offers a systematic method for data collection and analysis, but also provides a more reflective, context-sensitive epistemological framework capable of generating substantive theory that is truly rooted in organizational reality. Thus, GTR is a powerful methodological alternative in enriching accounting knowledge, while providing a deeper understanding of how accounting practices are executed, negotiated, and interpreted in everyday organizational life.

Hulu, Ronald Berkat Yustin, Mendrofa, Martha Surya Dinata, Kakisina, Sophia Molinda, Gea, Jeliswan Berkat Iman Jaya
Abstract: This study highlights the problem of managing teak wood raw materials in the form of boards at UD Gemilang, Gunungsitoli City. The company often experiences shortages or excess inventory due to a conventional ordering system… stem that is not based on optimal demand calculations. This inefficiency causes wasteful costs and disrupts the smooth production process. The main objective of this study is to analyze current inventory management and apply the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method to determine the optimal order quantity, as well as evaluate its impact on cost efficiency and production operations. The EOQ method is expected to be a systematic and rational solution for managing inventory more efficiently. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were collected through direct interviews with business owners and documentation of raw material purchasing and usage reports for 2024. The analysis was conducted using the EOQ formula to calculate the optimal order quantity, ordering costs, storage costs, safety stock, reorder point, and total inventory cost (TIC). The analysis results show that the optimal order quantity for teak wood raw materials is 282 boards, with an ordering frequency of 6 times a year. This number is more efficient than the actual ordering system which is carried out monthly without a fixed calculation. The recommended safety stock is 22 boards, with a Reorder Point (ROP) of 36 boards. The implementation of the EOQ method successfully reduced total inventory costs from Rp6,768,000 to Rp3,496,800.

Mendrofa, Solfin Desmeni, Zebua, Serniati, Mendrofa, Martha Surya Dinata, Gea, Jeliswan Berkat Iman Jaya
Abstract: The main objective of this study is to compare and analyze the effectiveness of the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) method in optimizing raw material inventory management in the Nias Tofu business. This study uses a… mixed method. Primary data in this study were obtained directly from the Nias Tofu business through observations and interviews, while secondary data were obtained from the company in the form of production data from the Nias Tofu Product business in 2024. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis techniques and the steps taken in the method analysis.MRP. According to the analysis results, the 2024 soybean raw material purchasing and demand data using the conventional method showed a shortage of raw materials of 14,200 kg with an order frequency of 14 times. Inventory management experienced inefficiencies, namely storage costs of IDR 1,600,000 and ordering costs of IDR 400,000, and raw material shortages still occurred, while the application of the MRP method resulted in order planning with an order frequency of 6 times, a fixed order quantity of 16,784 kg, and a much lower total inventory cost of IDR 335,160. The implementation of the MRP method has proven successful in eliminating raw material shortages and reducing operational costs so that the production process runs more smoothly and efficiently. This study proves that the application of MRP is effective in managing raw materials and optimizing production in the Nias Tofu business, making a significant contribution to smooth production and inventory cost efficiency.
