Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between fear of missing out and social media addiction in students at the Islamic University of Riau. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive and significant… relationship between fear of missing out and social media addiction in students at the Islamc University of Riau. Subjects in this study amounted to 100 people who are students with an age range of 19-25 years. Data collection uses a fear of missing out scale of 21 items and a social media addiction item. The analytical method used in this research is Spearman Rank Order correlation analysis. The results of statistical analysis obtained a correlation value of 0.264 (>0.05) with a significance of 0.008 (p<0.05). The result of this study obtained a value of R = 0.304 with p < 0.005 which is 0.092, this indicates that there is a significant positive relationship between fear of missing out and social media addiction in students at the Islamic University of Riau. That is, the higher the addiction to social media, the higher the fear of missing out and vice versa. The effective contribution of the social media addiction provides and active contribution of 9.2% to the fear of missing out variable while the rest is influenced by other factors.

Alifatun Sajidah, Nida, Insyirah, Yulia, Handayani, Lusi
Abstract: This research aims to determine the relationship between overprotective parenting and independence and the self-identity status of teenagers at Muhammadiyah High School, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The subjects in this research… were female students in grades 10 to 12 at SMA Muhammadiyah Bantul. This research uses 3 research variables, consisting of 2 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. The data collection method that will be used in this research is the Adolescent Self-Identity Status Scale, Overprotective Parenting Pattern Scale and Independence Scale. The data obtained in this research was analyzed using a multiple regression analysis technique with two predictors using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 16 For Windows computing system program. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between Overprotective Parenting and Independence with Adolescents' Self-Identity Status. The results of the analysis using regression analysis techniques resulting from the relationship between the three variables obtained R = 0.415 and R2 = 0.172 with a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.01). There is a very significant positive relationship between Overprotective Parenting Patterns and Adolescents' Self-Identity Status, with a correlation of r 0.283 and a significance level of 0.001 (p<0.01). There is a very significant positive relationship between independence and Self-Identity Status in adolescents, with a correlation of r 0.357 and a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.01). The conclusion in this research is that there is a very significant positive relationship between Overprotective Parenting and Independence with the Self-Identity Status of Adolescents at Muhammadiyah High School Bantul, Yogyakarta. Hastuti, Ratna, Dwi Nugroho, Agus, Gumilang Berlian, Alang
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the correlations between effective interpersonal communication and barriers in the adjustment of the new student. It was hypothesized that there was a relationship between effective… ve interpersonal communication and barriers in adjustment of the new students; and there was a negative correlation between effective interpersonal communication and barriers in adjustment. The first added hypothesis was that there were differences barriers in adjustment between students group based on lesson selection no used non cognitive test and used non cognitive test. The second added hypothesized that there were differences of barriers in adjustment based on sex. The subjects were 64 students on several faculties in The Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta; 31 males & 33 females; 34 no used non cognitive tests and 30 used non cognitive tests, academic period 2003/2004 S-1 regular. Two scales were applied to measure barriers in adjustment and effective interpersonal communication. The results of the study showed that there were negative correlations between effective interpersonal communication and barriers in adjustment (F - 1.040, p -; 0.002; p < 0.01). In the student’s group-based test selection, there were no differences barriers in adjustment between students group no used non cognitive test and students group used non cognitive test (F = 1.040, p = 0.322; p < 0.01). In the students group based on sex, there was no difference of barriers in adjustment between male and female (F = 1.040. p = 0.907; p < 0.01).

Nurhikmah, Siti, Diah Suslianingrum, Elfa, Dewita, Sisri
Abstract: This research is a quantitative research using a one group pretest-posttest design experimental method with the aim of the research to determine the effectiveness of mindfulness therapy in reducing levels of depression in… n female prisoners. Subject selection was carried out by purposive sampling. The subjects involved were five female prisoners who had the BDI-II category of moderate depression with a minimum sentence of less than one year in prison. The level of depression was measured using the BDI-II (Beck Depression Inventory) scale by Beck (1976). The BDI-II scale was given before and after being given mindfulness therapy and the data collected was analyzed using a paired sample t-test and effectiveness test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the level of depression, where the average level of depression decreased after receiving the intervention, the level of depression in subjects who previously had an average score of 25.4 decreased to 17.6. This shows that the intervention provided in the form of mindfulness therapy can reduce the level of depression in the subject. To test whether the results of the intervention were significant or not, the researcher also carried out a significance test using paired sample t-test analysis, but first the researcher carried out a normality test on the research data. Based on the results of the Difference Test analysis, a significance value of 0.022 (p<0.05) was obtained, meaning that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, so it could be concluded that there was a decrease in the level of depression in research subjects after being given intervention in the form of mindfulness therapy.

The Relationship Between Social Support and Resilience in Adolescents at the Harapan Adolescent Orphanage

Lovi Setyowati, Era
Abstract: The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between social support and resilience in adolescents in orphanages. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection in this research used a resilience measuring… uring scale and a social support measuring scale in the form of a Likert scale. The respondents in this study were 100 teenagers from orphanages. The sampling method used in this research was purposive sampling with the criteria that the subjects taken were orphanage teenagers who had lived at least 1 year in the orphanage. The data obtained was analyzed using a correlation analysis technique of 0.404 (p=0.000), which means there is a very significant relationship between social support and resilience in teenagers in orphanages. This means that the higher the social support, the higher the resilience. Conversely, it means that the lower the social support, the lower the resilience.
