Abstract:This study aims to explore and understand the dynamics of community participation in the village development planning process (Musrenbangdes) in Tambayoli Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency. Using a qualitative…
itative approach, data were collected through purposive sampling, open data collection methods, and analysis of both textual and visual materials. The primary methods of data collection included participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document review. The findings reveal that, although some awareness of Musrenbangdes has been achieved through existing announcement systems, the overall effectiveness of community participation remains limited. Many residents perceive the process as a formality, with decisions dominated by specific stakeholders, leading to low levels of trust and engagement. The study identifies significant barriers to active participation, such as inadequate information dissemination, lack of transparency, and limited involvement in both the implementation and benefit-sharing of development projects. The research suggests that for Musrenbangdes to be more effective, there needs to be a concerted effort to enhance transparency, ensure equitable information distribution, and create a more inclusive participatory framework. These findings have implications for improving governance and promoting sustainable development at the village level.
Abstract:This article aims to analyze the role of journalistic media in shaping the contemporary political landscape, focusing on its ability to manipulate and direct public opinion and policy. Considering the media's dominance in…
n agenda setting, this study highlights the urgency of understanding its broad influence on democracy and public policy. Journalistic media, which has transformed from a passive information provider to an active opinion shaper, plays a crucial role in this fast-paced and widespread information era. Therefore, a deep understanding of how media shapes political narratives is essential to maintaining the integrity of the democratic process. The methodology used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which involves the collection and analysis of data from previously published sources to build a comprehensive understanding of the media's role in politics. This approach allows for the identification of trends, challenges, and the broader impact of media on politics. Additionally, this study employs theoretical analysis by combining Media Dependency Theory and Agenda Setting Theory to examine how public dependence on media and media's power in setting the agenda influence political dynamics. The results of the study indicate that media often leverages its strategic position to direct public opinion, which can significantly impact election outcomes and public policy. The high public dependence on media for information makes the media a powerful tool in shaping the political agenda, often benefiting media owners or specific interest groups. Based on the findings and discussion, this article recommends the need for stricter media oversight and increased media literacy among the public to reduce bias and ensure that the media plays its role as an effective watchdog rather than a biased opinion shaper. These recommendations aim to support policies that promote transparency and integrity in journalism, ensuring that the media can continue to be a pillar of healthy democracy without compromising objectivity or accountability.

ent of information and communication technology has fundamentally changed the media landscape, shifting focus from conventional media to digital platforms such as social media, online news sites, and blogs. This phenomenon has broadened access to various types of content, challenging students to navigate, evaluate, and utilise information effectively. Amidst the increasing volume and diversity of information sources, Communication Science students, as adaptive and active technology users, often face challenges in distinguishing between accurate information and misinformation, which can significantly influence their opinion formation and behaviour. Adopting a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach, this study integrates the Uses and Effects analysis to deepen the understanding of how daily interactions with mass media affect students. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from March to May 2024, exploring how students select, process, and use digital information in their daily lives. The findings indicate that students tend to prioritise visual and interactive content but often get trapped in filter bubbles that affect their understanding and attitudes towards important issues. Therefore, this study highlights the need for more integrated media literacy education in the curriculum to equip students with the critical skills necessary to handle the complexity of information in the digital era. Further discussion of these findings is expected to provide valuable insights for the development of future educational and communication strategies.

al and interactive content, the success of a film depends not only on its production quality but also on the effectiveness of its marketing strategies. The urgency of this research lies in the need to understand the ever-changing dynamics of digital marketing and assess the potential of daily vlogs as an innovative marketing tool in the film industry. Utilizing a qualitative methodology with a field study approach, this research collects data through interviews, observations, and content analysis from the Official Agak Laen social media, as well as secondary sources such as reports and relevant literature. The study's findings reveal: First, the "Social Media Marketing Model of the Film Agak Laen" demonstrates that the integration of daily vlogs into the marketing strategy allows for deeper and more personal interactions with the audience, enhancing engagement and supporting the viral spread of content. Second, "Critique of Marketing Communication for Daily Vlog Film 'Agak Laen'" discusses the challenges faced, including the risk of over-saturation and audience skepticism towards aggressively promoted content. The study identifies that although daily vlogs are an effective tool for increasing visibility and engagement, this approach requires high authenticity and strategic management to avoid potential negative effects such as content fatigue among the audience. The recommendations include enhancing content personalization, utilizing audience analytics for better targeting, and balancing between promotion and providing added value to viewers.

mic University of North Sumatra (UIN-SU). Using interactive communication theory and uncertainty reduction theory, this research provides a framework for understanding and addressing these barriers. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, direct observation, and related document studies. Data were analyzed using content analysis to identify patterns and trends in verbal communication. Triangulation, peer debriefing, and external checks were used to ensure data validity. The research results indicate that the communication model implemented by lecturers greatly influences the effectiveness of guidance and the quality of students' final projects. Communication barriers are often caused by misunderstandings in written communication and differences in expectations. Proposed solutions include effective communication training for lecturers, the use of written communication guidelines, and regular group and individual guidance sessions. The integration of communication technology such as e-learning platforms and online collaboration tools is also suggested to enhance the communication process. By understanding the dynamics of verbal communication and overcoming existing barriers, this research aims to improve the quality of academic guidance and student outcomes, as well as prepare them for communication challenges in the professional world. This study is relevant not only in the academic context but also has broad practical implications.

s use primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informant withdrawal technique uses purpose. The data analysis used is the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research conducted, community participatory planning in development in Lembah Sumara Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency still has many problems. When viewed from the planning stages, the dominant ones who appear active during village fund management deliberations are village officials, members of village consultative bodies and community figures who are considered influential. Meanwhile, most of the community does not play an active role at the planning stage because they do not receive invitations during deliberations, so that when decisions are made, they do not represent the aspirations of the community in general. Likewise, public awareness of the development implementation stages is still very low. Indications of this can be seen in the implementation of village fund management policies for development, starting from the planning process to implementing activities which are almost entirely carried out by the village government.
