Consumer Protection in Live Streaming-Based Commercial Transactions

Abstract: The rapid evolution of digital technologies, particularly live streaming features in e-commerce platforms, has significantly transformed consumer behavior while introducing new risks to consumer protection. Live streaming… g based commercial transactions often involve real time, visually driven interactions that encourage impulsive purchasing decisions, making traditional regulatory frameworks insufficient. This study aims to analyze the primary factors influencing consumer protection in live commerce settings by examining five core variables: product transparency, platform accountability, perceived risk, consumer trust, and digital literacy. Utilizing a qualitative exploratory approach, this research conducted a comprehensive literature review of 77 international journal articles published between 2020 and 2024. The findings indicate that product transparency and platform accountability are fundamental to enhancing consumer trust and reducing perceived risks, whereas digital literacy acts as a moderating factor that empowers consumers to make informed decisions. The study proposes a conceptual framework that integrates behavioral and regulatory dimensions, offering both theoretical insights and practical implications for improving consumer protection in fast paced, interactive digital marketplaces.

Abstract: This study explores the concept of gratitude, specifically focusing on the Action of Thankfulness expressed by Class VII members in The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel video game. Using the Find-Remind-Bind theory… by Sara B. Algoe, the study identifies expressions of gratitude that reinforce social bonds among characters. The qualitative analysis of in-game dialogues and interactions reveals that thankfulness manifests in various forms, such as verbal appreciation, acknowledgment of contributions, and reinforcement of interpersonal relationships. This study highlights how gratitude influences character development and strengthens emotional connections within the narrative. In conclusion, this research contributes to the study of digital drama and psychology of literature in video game by showing how psychological elements, especially action of thankfulness, can be analyzed through interactive narratives.

International Business Communication Management in Cultural Context

Abstract: This study explores international communication management in the Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) of East Java in the context of cultural differences. The main findings indicate that DPMPTSP… PMPTSP operates in an environment with cultural dimensions such as low power distance, individualism, masculinity, low uncertainty avoidance, and long-term orientation. This affects the way the institution communicates and manages its international relations. The study found that adapting communication that is sensitive to cultural differences, including values, attitudes, and etiquette, is essential to improving operational effectiveness and efficiency. The novelty of this study lies in the in-depth understanding of the application of Hofstede's cultural theory in the context of international communication management in the public sector, as well as practical recommendations to overcome cultural challenges in international interactions.

Abstract: This research aims to explore and analyze applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in English language learning, focusing on tools such as ChatGPT, ELSA Speak, and Perplexity. The literature review involved a library… research method to synthesize findings from various sources. The results identified a significant range of AI applications in English language learning, including conversational interaction, presentation creation, illustration tutoring, individualized tutoring, material creation, illustration creation, and voice generation technologies. The findings underscore the potential of AI to improve the interactivity, personalization, and efficiency of English language learning. Suggestions for future research include continued research on long-term efficacy, ethical considerations, equitable access, integration with traditional methods, and user experience. This research is vital in bringing an in-depth understanding of the transformation of language learning through the utilization of AI technology.

Menggali Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak: Peran Persepsi Kemudahan dan Sanksi dalam Implementasi Coretax

Abstract: Perkembangan digitalisasi perpajakan di Indonesia mendorong hadirnya sistem administrasi Coretax sebagai upaya pembaharuan layanan perpajakan yang terintegrasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggali ketaatan wajib pajak… k dalam implementasi Coretax dengan menekankan pada peran persepsi kemudahan penggunaan sistem dan pengaruh sanksi perpajakan. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam kepada wajib pajak orang pribadi karyawan yang memanfaatkan sistem Coretax dalam melaporkan SPT Tahunan. Temuan pada penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa mayoritas wajib pajak masih menghadapi kendala pada tahap awal penggunaan sistem, khususnya dalam memahami fitur-fitur yang tersedia serta alur pelaporan pajak. Namun, setelah memperoleh pendampingan dan pengalaman penggunaan, wajib pajak mulai merasakan kemudahan dari layanan yang terintegrasi dalam satu platform. Selain itu, sanksi perpajakan dan tuntutan administratif dari lingkungan kerja juga menjadi faktor yang mendorong kepatuhan wajib pajak dalam pelaporan pajak. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepatuhan wajib pajak dalam implementasi Coretax dipengaruhi oleh interaksi antara penerimaan teknologi dan faktor perilaku. The development of tax digitalization in Indonesia has encouraged the implementation of the Coretax administrative system as an effort to modernize and integrate tax services. This study aims to examine taxpayer compliance in the implementation of Coretax by emphasizing the role of perceived ease of use of the system and the influence of tax sanctions. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with individual employee taxpayers who utilized the Coretax system to file their Annual Tax Returns. The findings reveal that the majority of taxpayers still encountered difficulties during the initial stage of system usage, particularly in understanding the available features and the tax reporting procedures. However, after receiving assistance and gaining experience in using the system, taxpayers began to perceive the convenience offered by the integrated services within a single platform. In addition, tax sanctions and administrative demands from the workplace environment were also identified as factors encouraging taxpayer compliance in tax reporting. This study indicates that taxpayer compliance in the implementation of Coretax is influenced by the interaction between technology acceptance and behavioral factors..

In terms of rapid economic development, no doubt, a country is required to have a… rule of law that can accommodate these needs and could cover various sociological spectrums that exist and are constantly changing within its people. Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim majority in the world, while the notion of the whole state is based on Pancasila with diverse customs and cultural norms is certainly faced with several challenges, one of which is the transformation and the implementation of living law that includes religious, as well as indigenous law into a state law. The field of economics as an example of a social event that continues to revolve, will significantly be affected in the development of legal and social science. Sharia law is no longer a codification of exclusive law limited to certain groups of people but has become a general rule not only in Indonesia but also internationally with the existence of Islamic banking system. This phenomenon certainly changes the view of the legal order that applies in society if the change is assessed through the eyes of the sociology of law in Indonesia.

Mother's Insight Regarding The Magnitude Of Parenting Communication

Abstract: The optimal development of adolescents depends on the harmony of family communication, especially mothers as caregivers. Disputes between mothers and adolescents often occur and trigger fights and adolescent aggressive behavior… ehavior that stretches family interactions. Communication contributes significantly to the development of teenage behavior; it can be explored based on the mother's experience as a caregiver. This study examines in-depth mothers' experiences in communicating with their adolescent children. Participants in this qualitative study using a phenomenological approach were mothers who lived with their teenage children, a total of 11 participants. The determination of participants was done by applying a purposive sampling technique. The conclusion of the number of samples is based on the saturation of the results of in-depth interviews conducted using video call technology. The Colaizzi method with the Haase adaptation was applied in analyzing the results of in-depth interviews that had been recorded to make it easier when compiling the transcript. Four themes have been generated in this study: The fabric of family love as a communication goal, undeniable dependence on communication, Vulnerability to give each other space to face communication challenges and the need for space and time to explore the importance of good communication. To ensure the trustworthiness of the research results, peer debriefing and member checking are carried out. It is necessary to have a common perception between mothers and adolescents in understanding the importance of Communication and instilling family commitments consistently by paying attention to the youth's freedom of opinion which must be optimally utilized according to the developmental tasks of adolescence.

Exploring The Relationship Between Workplace Incivility and Productivity: SME’s Perspective

Abstract: Increased productivity in SMEs in terms of quality service delivery is crucial for economic growth and development. Most SMEs are bedevilled with destructive workplace deviant behaviour, particularly the incivility of owners/managers… ners/managers and employees towards customers, which have different consequences for workplace performance parameters such as a decline in sales, low patronage, and by extension, weak gross domestic product contribution. Using the social exchange theory, this cross-sectional study examined the influence of workplace incivility on productivity among 365 owners/managers, supervisors, and employees of SMEs in the liquefied petroleum gas sub-sector in Lagos State. Stratified proportionate sampling was utilized to select the respondents. The outcomes revealed that workplace incivility in the form of rudeness, discourteous disposition, and derogatory remarks predicted productivity in terms of an interaction between customers and employees and the capacity of the service process. Also, our findings accentuated the essence of avoiding direct and indirect costs that are linked with workplace incivility. The study recommended the communal and positive interpersonal relationships between owners/managers, employees, and customers and suggested training on emotional intelligence as a panacea for behavioral responses.

Multilingual Communication Practices As A Representation Of The Social Identity Of Central Java-West Java Border Communities

Abstract: Central Java–West Java border communities live in a multicultural environment where Javanese and Sundanese cultures meet, forming distinctive multilingual communication practices. The use of Javanese, Sundanese, and Indonesian… donesian in everyday life functions not only as a means of communication, but also as a representation of the community's social identity. This study aims to analyze the multilingual communication practices of Central Java–West Java border communities and to explain the role of language in representing community social identity. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method supported by social-contextual reflection. Data were obtained from various scientific sources discussing multilingual communication, social identity, intercultural communication, bilingualism, and multilingualism. The analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, theme categorization, meaning interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that border communities flexibly use Javanese, Sundanese, and Indonesian according to the context of interaction, social relations, and communication needs. The practices of code switching and code mixing are important parts of daily communication as forms of social and cultural adaptation. In addition, language use functions as a symbol of cultural identity, a means of identity negotiation, and a mechanism of social integration in a multicultural environment. The findings affirm that multilingual communication is a representation of dynamic social identity and reflects the ability of border communities to maintain social harmony amid cultural diversity.
