Abstract:This study aims to analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of job satisfaction, employee loyalty, and work commitment on employee performance at PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia (Perseroda). This research adopts an associative…
tive quantitative approach. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 54 respondents drawn from a population of 114 permanent employees using simple random sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26. The finding that The F-test result (Fcount = 60.515 > Ftable = 2.196; sig. = 0.000) confirms that all three variables simultaneously exert a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Partially, job satisfaction (t = 3.485; sig. = 0.001) and work commitment (t = 11.685; sig. = 0.000) each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while employee loyalty (t = -3.080; sig. = 0.003) shows a negative and significant effect. The adjusted R² of 0.771 indicates that 77.1% of the variance in employee performance is explained by the three predictors. Work commitment emerged as the dominant predictor of employee performance, followed by job satisfaction. The negative effect of employee loyalty suggests that loyalty alone does not directly translate into higher performance unless it is accompanied by adequate motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational support. These findings are consistent with previous empirical studies conducted in the plantation and service sectors
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline, compensation, and work environment on employee performance at PT. Pembangunan Teknik Konstruksi. This research employs a quantitative approach using SPSS version…
27 for data analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, literature review, and documentation. The population in this study consisted of 103 employees, and the sampling technique used was saturated sampling, resulting in 103 respondents. The results of the study indicate that partially, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and compensation also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, the work environment does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work discipline, compensation, and work environment have a significant effect on employee performance. The findings of this study reveal that work discipline and compensation are the dominant factors in improving employee performance, while the work environment is not the main factor in this research context. Therefore, the company is recommended to focus more on enhancing work discipline and providing fair and appropriate compensation to improve employee performance optimally
Abstract:This study examines the effects of the VAT rate increase and lifestyle on purchasing decisions among consumers in the Malang area, with tax literacy as a moderating variable. An explanatory quantitative design was applied…
d using PLS-SEM (SmartPLS 4.0) with 81 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that VAT rate increase (β = 0.537; p = 0.000) and lifestyle (β = 0.285; p = 0.024) each have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions. Tax literacy does not directly affect purchasing decisions (β = 0.066; p = 0.465), but functions as a significant moderator: it strengthens the effect of the VAT rate increase (β = 0.309; p = 0.037) while weakening the effect of lifestyle (β = −0.337; p = 0.031). These findings suggest that tax literacy may shift the basis of consumer decision-making toward a more rational-fiscal orientation, offering preliminary evidence for the value of tax education programs that address everyday consumption contexts
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle on financial management behavior, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable among young workers in Tuban Regency. This study employed a quantitative…
tative approach involving 160 respondents, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that financial literacy, lifestyle, and self-efficacy have significant effects on financial management behavior. Financial literacy also significantly influences self-efficacy, while lifestyle does not have a significant effect on self-efficacy. Furthermore, self-efficacy is proven to mediate the relationship between financial literacy and financial management behavior, but it does not mediate the relationship between lifestyle and financial management behavior
Abstract:This study examines the effects of financial performance, sales growth, and corporate governance on financial distress, as well as the moderating role of corporate governance in the coal industry in Indonesia. The population…
tion consists of 33 coal companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with 21 companies selected using purposive sampling. The study uses secondary data with 105 observations from 2019–2023. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that financial performance and corporate governance significantly affect financial distress, while sales growth has no significant effect. In addition, corporate governance does not moderate the relationship between financial performance and financial distress, nor between sales growth and financial distress. These findings highlight the importance of financial management and governance mechanisms in mitigating financial distress risk in the coal industry.
Abstract:This narrative review explores whether high-potential workers (HiPo) within Indonesian organizations across various sectors consistently exhibit elevated levels of emotional intelligence (EI), and it assesses the relevance…
ce of the Competency Based Model proposed by Boyatzis in the identification and development of HiPos. The review compiles freely accessible scholarly articles from 2024 to 2025, with a focus on research from Indonesia and includes one primary benchmark study on high-potential individuals for comparison, as studies specific to Indonesian HiPo are scarce. Findings reveal that being classified as a HiPo does not necessarily correlate with having high EI. Research directly related to high potential employees indicates that cognitive-intrapersonal skills such as initiative, desire for learning, and the ability to think outside conventional limits are stronger indicators of high potential than emotional-interpersonal skills. Research from various Indonesian sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, and public services, suggests that while EI plays a significant role in enhancing employee productivity, work performance, job satisfaction, and effectiveness in management, its influence typically operates through mediating factors instead of serving as a direct predictor. Furthermore, talent management research in Indonesia shows that numerous organizations still depend on performance evaluations and fragmented methods instead of comprehensive competency frameworks. This review concludes that the Competency Based Model is relevant in Indonesian organizations across different sectors; however, it should be viewed as encompassing a range of competencies rather than a single attribute. While EI is valuable, it is not an essential or sufficient criterion for determining high-potential employees.
Abstract:This study aims to explore auditors' experiences in digital auditing practices, the meaning of professional ethics, and ethical dilemmas in the context of digital disruption using a phenomenological approach. The study was…
as conducted at a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Surabaya, with auditors who had experience in technology-based audits as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using a phenomenological approach supported by NVivo software. The results show that digital auditing practices are still dominated by the use of simple technologies such as Microsoft Excel for data processing, analysis, and audit documentation. Although technology increases efficiency, auditors still do not fully rely on the system and still use professional judgment to maintain the reliability of audit results. Professional ethics is understood as a primary foundation that remains valid, but is reinterpreted in the digital context, particularly related to efficiency pressures and technological risks. Ethical dilemmas arise due to time constraints, incomplete data, and client demands, so auditors tend to prioritize the sufficiency of evidence and prudence in decision-making. Overall, this study concludes that digital disruption does not change the fundamental values of auditors' professional ethics, but rather reconstructs their meaning through work experiences and professional interactions.
Abstract:The rapid growth of the telecommunications industry, driven by increasing demand for digital services, is not always accompanied by stable financial performance due to cost pressures, competition, and infrastructure investment…
stment requirements. This condition requires companies to manage their finances effectively, making financial ratio analysis important in evaluating corporation performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of activity ratios, liquidity ratios, and solvency ratios on the financial performance of telecommunication companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022–2024 period. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The data used are secondary data obtained from financial statements. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with 18 companies over a three-year period, resulting in 54 observations. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression with SPSS. The independent variables include activity ratio (TATO), liquidity ratio (CR), and solvency ratio (DER), while the dependent variable is financial performance (ROE). The outcome show that partially, the activity ratio does not have a substantial effect on financial performance. Meanwhile, liquidity and solvency ratios have a negative and substantial effect on financial performance. Simultaneously, all three ratios have a substantial effect on financial performance. These findings indicate that financial performance is influenced by asset management, the ability to meet obligations, and capital structure.
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the role of corruption in moderating the influence of Village Funds, Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD), and technology represented by the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) index on the number…
ber of independent villages in Indonesia from 2023 to 2024. The research was conducted in 34 provinces in Indonesia, except for the provinces of DKI Jakarta, Central Papua, South Papua, and Papua Pegunungan. The study used a panel data regression model with a Fixed Effect Model approach. The results of the study show that: First, Village Funds have a positive and significant effect on increasing the number of independent villages; Second, PAD does not have a significant effect on the number of independent villages, indicating that fiscal independence of villages in Indonesia is still relatively low. Most villages still depend on transfers from the central government; Third, technology, represented by the SPBE index, has a positive and significant effect on the number of independent villages; Fourth, the moderating effect of corruption shows diverse dynamics. Corruption negatively moderates the relationship between Village Funds and independent villages, but conversely positively moderates the relationship between PAD and independent villages. Fifth, the interaction between SPBE and corruption is not proven to be significant, suggesting that the success of digitization in promoting village independence is determined more by the readiness of the technological ecosystem than solely by low levels of corruption.
Abstract:This study is motivated by the rapid development of digital financial services, particularly Shopee PayLater, which has the potential to increase consumerist behaviour among students. This phenomenon requires examination…
not only from economic and psychological perspectives, but also from the perspective of Islamic accounting, which emphasises balance and control over consumption. This study aims to analyse the influence of lifestyle and self-control on the consumer behaviour of Shopee PayLater users and to test the role of Islamic accounting principles as a moderating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to students and analysed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS application version 4.1.1.6. The results indicate that lifestyle has a positive and significant influence on consumer behaviour, whilst self-control does not have a significant influence. Sharia accounting principles have a direct and significant influence on consumptive behaviour, but are unable to moderate the relationship between lifestyle or self-control and consumptive behaviour. These findings suggest that consumer behaviour is influenced more by external factors such as lifestyle and the convenience of digital services than by internal factors within the individual, and indicate that Sharia values have not yet been fully integrated into everyday life.
