The Influence of Emotional Regulation on Academic Resilience in Students Who Are Working on Their Thesis

Budi Prasetyo, Fauzi, Nur’Aini, Aulia, Sarah Febriani, Anggia
Abstract: This study aims to determine the role of emotion regulation on academic resilience in 10th, 12th, and 14th semester students who are working on an undergraduate thesis. The research method used is quantitative, employing… multiple regression analysis techniques to analyze the data. The instruments used in this study include the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) scale, developed by Gross and John (2003), to measure emotion regulation, and The Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30), developed by Cassidy (2016), to measure academic resilience. The results of the study reveal that there is a significant positive effect of cognitive reappraisal emotion regulation on academic resilience among students in their 10th, 12th, and 14th semesters who are working on their thesis, accounting for 27.1% of the variance in academic resilience. This finding suggests that students who engage in cognitive reappraisal, a strategy that involves reinterpreting a situation to change its emotional impact, are more likely to demonstrate resilience in the face of academic challenges. In contrast, the study found no significant effect of expressive suppression emotion regulation on academic resilience in the same group of students. Expressive suppression, which involves inhibiting the outward expression of emotions, does not appear to contribute to the ability of students to remain resilient while working on their thesis. These findings highlight the importance of cognitive emotion regulation strategies in fostering academic resilience among students, particularly during challenging academic tasks such as thesis completion.

Ayu Amalia, Hana, Endang Kusmaryani, Rosita
Abstract: Every company must adapt to the digital era, and a crucial strategy for achieving this is preparing for change. Employees who are ready for change tend to operate more effectively. This research aims to determine whether… self-efficacy predicts readiness for change among digital enterprise employees. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey design. The sample comprised 106 digital enterprise employees. Data were collected using a 25-item Readiness to Change Questionnaire and a 10-item General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) instrument. The validity test utilized content and construct validity, ensuring the instruments accurately measure the intended constructs. The reliability test, using Cronbach's Alpha, ranged from 0.592 to 0.955, indicating varying levels of internal consistency, while the reliability of the measurement model (inner model) ranged from 0.773 to 0.961, suggesting high reliability. The results of the hypothesis testing show that (1) self-efficacy is a significant predictor of readiness for change, with a predictive relevance of 30%; (2) self-efficacy significantly influences the appropriateness dimension, with an effective contribution of 47.1%; (3) self-efficacy is a significant predictor of the management support dimension, with an effective contribution of 46%; (4) self-efficacy significantly predicts the change efficacy dimension, with an effective contribution of 47.9%; (5) however, self-efficacy is not a significant predictor of personal benefits. These findings underscore the importance of self-efficacy in enhancing employees' readiness for change within digital enterprises. Companies should focus on boosting employees' self-efficacy to improve their adaptability and effectiveness in the face of digital transformation. By recognizing and fostering the key dimensions influenced by self-efficacy, organizations can better support their workforce during periods of change. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of psychological factors that facilitate successful change management in the digital era.

Nuraisyah, Nuraisyah, Daeng Mamala, Ahmad, Mangngasing, Nasir
Abstract: This research is to find out how community participatory planning works in development in Lembah Sumara Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data types… s use primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informant withdrawal technique uses purpose. The data analysis used is the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research conducted, community participatory planning in development in Lembah Sumara Village, Soyo Jaya District, North Morowali Regency still has many problems. When viewed from the planning stages, the dominant ones who appear active during village fund management deliberations are village officials, members of village consultative bodies and community figures who are considered influential. Meanwhile, most of the community does not play an active role at the planning stage because they do not receive invitations during deliberations, so that when decisions are made, they do not represent the aspirations of the community in general. Likewise, public awareness of the development implementation stages is still very low. Indications of this can be seen in the implementation of village fund management policies for development, starting from the planning process to implementing activities which are almost entirely carried out by the village government.
