Corruption Perception Index as a Moderating Variable in the Relationship between Village Funds, Local Revenue, Technology Adoption, and Village Independence in Indonesia

Sudarman, Soesilowati, Etty, Sumanto, Agus
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of corruption in moderating the influence of Village Funds, Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD), and technology represented by the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) index on the number… ber of independent villages in Indonesia from 2023 to 2024. The research was conducted in 34 provinces in Indonesia, except for the provinces of DKI Jakarta, Central Papua, South Papua, and Papua Pegunungan. The study used a panel data regression model with a Fixed Effect Model approach. The results of the study show that: First, Village Funds have a positive and significant effect on increasing the number of independent villages; Second, PAD does not have a significant effect on the number of independent villages, indicating that fiscal independence of villages in Indonesia is still relatively low. Most villages still depend on transfers from the central government; Third, technology, represented by the SPBE index, has a positive and significant effect on the number of independent villages; Fourth, the moderating effect of corruption shows diverse dynamics. Corruption negatively moderates the relationship between Village Funds and independent villages, but conversely positively moderates the relationship between PAD and independent villages. Fifth, the interaction between SPBE and corruption is not proven to be significant, suggesting that the success of digitization in promoting village independence is determined more by the readiness of the technological ecosystem than solely by low levels of corruption.

The Influence Of Lifestyle And Self-Control On The Consumptive Behavior Of Shopee Paylater Users In Context of Shariah Accounting Principles

Ramli, Sri Muliyani, Rezki Fani, Andi Bahri S, Trian Fisman Adisaputra
Abstract: This study is motivated by the rapid development of digital financial services, particularly Shopee PayLater, which has the potential to increase consumerist behaviour among students. This phenomenon requires examination… not only from economic and psychological perspectives, but also from the perspective of Islamic accounting, which emphasises balance and control over consumption. This study aims to analyse the influence of lifestyle and self-control on the consumer behaviour of Shopee PayLater users and to test the role of Islamic accounting principles as a moderating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to students and analysed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS application version 4.1.1.6. The results indicate that lifestyle has a positive and significant influence on consumer behaviour, whilst self-control does not have a significant influence. Sharia accounting principles have a direct and significant influence on consumptive behaviour, but are unable to moderate the relationship between lifestyle or self-control and consumptive behaviour. These findings suggest that consumer behaviour is influenced more by external factors such as lifestyle and the convenience of digital services than by internal factors within the individual, and indicate that Sharia values have not yet been fully integrated into everyday life.

Ridha, Achmad, Anastasya, Lidya
Abstract: This study investigates factors driving purchase intention toward reject fashion products at factory outlets in Makassar, Indonesia. Reject products garments that fail manufacturer quality control standards but are sold… legally at discounted prices represent an underexplored segment of circular fashion consumption. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Value-Based Adoption Model, this study tests a structural model in which four antecedents defect transparency, price perception, environmental consciousness, and store reputation influence purchase intention through the mediating role of perceived value. A quantitative survey was conducted with 250 consumers who visited factory outlets in Makassar. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS 4.0. Common Method Bias was confirmed absent using Harman's Single Factor Test and Full Collinearity VIF. Results indicate that all four antecedents positively influence perceived value, which strongly predicts purchase intention. Price perception is the dominant driver, followed by store reputation, environmental consciousness, and defect transparency. Perceived value fully mediates the effect of defect transparency and partially mediates the remaining three antecedents. These findings contribute to circular fashion consumer behavior literature and offer practical guidance for factory outlet operators in Eastern Indonesia.

The Role of Management Accounting Systems in Improving the Performance of Culinary MSMEs: Moderation of Sustainability Reporting

Hasdiansa, Ilma Wulansari
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of management accounting systems on the performance of culinary MSMEs and test the role of sustainability reporting as a moderation variable. The research uses a quantitative approach… oach with a survey method of 100 culinary MSMEs operating in the central area of Makassar City. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results of the study show that the management accounting system does not have a significant effect on business performance. This indicates that most MSMEs still do not make optimal use of accounting information in decision-making. Meanwhile, sustainability reporting has been proven to have a positive and significant influence on business performance. However, sustainability reporting is not able to moderate the relationship between management accounting systems and business performance. These findings show that sustainability practices have a more direct role in improving the performance of MSMEs compared to management accounting systems that have not been implemented effectively. This research contributes to the development of management and sustainability accounting literature, as well as provides practical implications for MSME actors in improving business performance through the integration of information systems and sustainable business practices.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, organizational culture, and employee engagement on employee performance with Lean Manufacturing  as a mediating variable. The research population amounted… d to 255 employees consisting of various levels of positions, with a sample of 154 respondents selected using proportional sampling techniques in 4 sections/divisions. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results of the study show that the work environment, organizational culture and employee involvement have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Quantitative approach with survey method, The research population is all employees of the production division of PT Ekamas Fortuna Malang which totals 332 people. Sampling was carried out using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique  with a sample of 179 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software.  The results of the hypothesis testing showed that all ten hypotheses proposed in this study were proven to be statistically supported. Work experience, work environment, and work culture were each proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation, indicating that these three factors are relevant motivational antecedents in the context of the manufacturing industry and motivation has also been shown to mediate the relationship between these three variables. An important finding of this study is the confirmation of the dual role of work motivation, namely as a variable that directly drives employee performance as well as as a mediator that strengthens and channels the indirect influence of work experience, work environment, and work culture on performance.
