Implementation Of Internal Quality Assurance System In Order To Improve The Quality Of Polytechnical Research

Arifudin, Opan, Trisnamansyah, Sutaryat, Hanafiah, Sauri, R. Supyan
Abstract: This research is motivated by the weak competence of lecturers in obtaining research grants, institutional support in providing budgets that are still inadequate, and the fulfillment of research criteria is still weak in… supporting the accreditation of Polytechnics. This research approach is a qualitative research with case study method. The results of this study indicate that the determination in order to improve the quality of polytechnic research has been carried out but there is no specific policy on the research. The implementation of the internal quality assurance system in research has been carried out by monitoring the grants received by lecturers by looking at the outputs or publications. Evaluation of the internal quality assurance system in the study was carried out by means of an internal quality audit (AMI) which was held once a year to see the publications of each department. Control of the internal quality assurance system in the study was carried out by administrative control including the collection of SKP, BKD and AMI audits. The achievement of research Quality Standards that have been established through the application of SPMI is based on two main principles: continuous process improvement/improvement and continuous improvement of quality standards.

Yunike, Yunike, Kusumawaty, Ira
Abstract: The optimal development of adolescents depends on the harmony of family communication, especially mothers as caregivers. Disputes between mothers and adolescents often occur and trigger fights and adolescent aggressive behavior… ehavior that stretches family interactions. Communication contributes significantly to the development of teenage behavior; it can be explored based on the mother's experience as a caregiver. This study examines in-depth mothers' experiences in communicating with their adolescent children. Participants in this qualitative study using a phenomenological approach were mothers who lived with their teenage children, a total of 11 participants. The determination of participants was done by applying a purposive sampling technique. The conclusion of the number of samples is based on the saturation of the results of in-depth interviews conducted using video call technology. The Colaizzi method with the Haase adaptation was applied in analyzing the results of in-depth interviews that had been recorded to make it easier when compiling the transcript. Four themes have been generated in this study: The fabric of family love as a communication goal, undeniable dependence on communication, Vulnerability to give each other space to face communication challenges and the need for space and time to explore the importance of good communication. To ensure the trustworthiness of the research results, peer debriefing and member checking are carried out. It is necessary to have a common perception between mothers and adolescents in understanding the importance of Communication and instilling family commitments consistently by paying attention to the youth's freedom of opinion which must be optimally utilized according to the developmental tasks of adolescence.

Analysis of Metal Fiber Testing with Pondidaha Coarse Aggregate and Konawe Fine Aggregate Against Flexural Strength (Beams)

Haydir, Haydir, Eva Delpia, Villa, Sakti, Putra, Safitri Maladeni, Eva
Abstract: The territory of Indonesia is a high level of earthquake risk among several earthquake areas around the world. One way to reduce the occurrence of potential damage to building construction is to utilize waste and metal as… s added material from coarse and fine aggregate to the flexural strength of beams that have equivalent flexural strength. The equivalent flexural strength value tends to increase with the addition of metal fibers. This study aims to determine the effect of adding metal fibers to the flexural strength of the beam and the pattern of cracks and collapse mechanisms that occur in the beam when the object is tested. This research is a type of quantitative research with physical laboratory experimental methods. The data collection method used is a preliminary study, The selection of the type of aggregate and metal fiber and secondary data were then carried out laboratory tests for the gradation of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. The data analysis technique is linear regression analysis in the Ms. program. Excell to determine the effect of metal fibers as additives on the flexural strength of the mixing of coarse and fine aggregates.

Abstract: Indonesia is one of the countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The elderly are the group most at risk for morbidity and mortality due to COVID-19. West Aceh Regency is one of the areas with confirmed cases of COVID-19.… -19. This study aims to analyze the behavior of preventing COVID-19 in the elderly group. This type of research is descriptive analytic, with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis in this study used three analyzes, namely univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. The results showed that 69.8% of the elderly with less Perceived Susceptibility but had good COVID-19 prevention. 64.7% of the elderly with good Perceived Severity but have less prevention. 63.6% of respondents have good Perceived Benefits as well as COVID-19 prevention. 69.1% of respondents have less Perceived Barriers but have good COVID-19 prevention and 69.1% have good Cues to action plus good COVID-19 Prevention. The most dominant factors that can be used in COVID-19 prevention are Perceived Severity with an OR value of 2.77 and Perceived Barriers with an OR value of 2.76. Arrest and Detention in Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code under Human Rights Perspective

Arif Setiawan, Muhammad
Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the regulatory framework on arrest and detention in Indonesian Criminal Procedure Code under human rights perspective. This study employed doctrinal legal research using statute and conceptual… approaches. The findings of this research reveal that the principles of law enforcement and human rights, which include the principles of legality, necessity, and proportionality, are essentially general principles that can be used to determine whether state actions that interfere with citizens' rights and freedoms violate or do not violate human rights. The legal provisions concerning arrest and detention did not fit the human rights standpoint particularly in the context of procedure and the length of detention. The proportionality and the necessity principle have not been fully considered as the ethical basis for arresting the perpetrator of a crime. Hence, what is needed is to amend the Criminal Procedure Code considering the adoption of both necessity and proportionality principle in the arrest and detention.

Toward the Specific Criminal Procedures for Disabled Persons in Indonesia

Amin, Muhammad
Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the need for the specific criminal procedure for disabled persons in Indonesian criminal justice system. This study employed doctrinal legal research using statute and conceptual approaches. The… e findings of this research reveal that the criminal justice system is based on the normalcy concept, which holds that everyone is physically and cognitively normal. As a result, the investigation, prosecution, and examination processes in court proceedings are exclusively aimed at and created for regular people. Persons with disabilities have been pushed to the margins and perhaps ignored. Persons with disabilities' rights are frequently infringed, both as perpetrators and as witnesses/victims of criminal activities. The medical method should be abandoned in favor of a social approach for the criminal justice system to be pro-people. What's needed is for law enforcement to do their jobs at each stage of the criminal justice system so that people with disabilities can have a fair trial. In the early phases of the criminal justice process, a profile assessment is required to determine the character, challenges, and requirements of people with disabilities.
