Abstract:This study examines the rapid expansion of the coffee shop industry in Makassar City as a phenomenon that creates not only economic opportunities but also increasing competitive saturation. As coffee shops in Makassar have…
ve developed beyond places of beverage consumption into urban social spaces linked to lifestyle, sociability, symbolic visibility, and identity formation, competition has become denser and more complex. The study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how coffee shop owners and managers experience, interpret, and respond to this increasingly crowded market. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research employed in-depth semi-structured interviews with business actors involved in strategic and operational decision-making, supported by contextual observation and business-related documents. The findings reveal five main themes: market growth is experienced as both opportunity and pressure; similarity among coffee shops increases vulnerability and reduces perceived distinctiveness; entrepreneurs rely on continuous adaptation rather than fixed strategies; business sustainability is understood as stability, relevance, and survival rather than expansion alone; and competition is shaped not only by product and price, but also by ambience, visibility, symbolic value, and lifestyle alignment.
Abstract:Abstract also written in English containing key issues, objectives, methods and results. Abstract This study examines the role of service creativity in the performing arts ecosystem within the context of cultural tourism,…
m, highlighting how service processes contribute to value creation beyond the artistic aspect. Cultural tourism has shifted from an object-based orientation to an experiential one, understanding performing arts not merely as a creative product but as an experience constructed through interactions between service providers and consumers. In this context, service becomes an integral part of the value creation process and audience satisfaction. This research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study method at PT Mata Hati Kitapoleng, a performing arts company in Bali. Data collection was conducted through in-depth semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observation. This research focuses on how service creativity is built through organizational processes, interactions, and practices. The results show that service creativity is formed through a structured yet flexible process, which integrates empathy for consumers, team collaboration, idea exploration, and continuous evaluation. The design thinking approach enables companies to deeply understand consumer needs and translate them into personalized and meaningful experiences. Service in this context is understood as a co-creative process, where consumers play an active role in shaping the final outcome. Furthermore, consumer satisfaction is influenced by various factors, such as trust, production and financial efficiency, innovation capacity, and evaluation and feedback mechanisms. This research confirms that service creativity is a strategic element in enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of performing arts businesses within the cultural tourism ecosystem.
Abstract:This narrative review explores whether high-potential workers (HiPo) within Indonesian organizations across various sectors consistently exhibit elevated levels of emotional intelligence (EI), and it assesses the relevance…
ce of the Competency Based Model proposed by Boyatzis in the identification and development of HiPos. The review compiles freely accessible scholarly articles from 2024 to 2025, with a focus on research from Indonesia and includes one primary benchmark study on high-potential individuals for comparison, as studies specific to Indonesian HiPo are scarce. Findings reveal that being classified as a HiPo does not necessarily correlate with having high EI. Research directly related to high potential employees indicates that cognitive-intrapersonal skills such as initiative, desire for learning, and the ability to think outside conventional limits are stronger indicators of high potential than emotional-interpersonal skills. Research from various Indonesian sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, and public services, suggests that while EI plays a significant role in enhancing employee productivity, work performance, job satisfaction, and effectiveness in management, its influence typically operates through mediating factors instead of serving as a direct predictor. Furthermore, talent management research in Indonesia shows that numerous organizations still depend on performance evaluations and fragmented methods instead of comprehensive competency frameworks. This review concludes that the Competency Based Model is relevant in Indonesian organizations across different sectors; however, it should be viewed as encompassing a range of competencies rather than a single attribute. While EI is valuable, it is not an essential or sufficient criterion for determining high-potential employees.
Abstract:Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Maros Regency's economy, with a significant development of 1,000 units to 2,000 units until December 2025, which is dominated by the culinary sector. In addition,…
ition, the fisheries sector is also the focus of development with milkfish production with a production of more than 9,100 tons per year by 2024 with market potential that continues to grow in line with the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program involving MSMEs as suppliers. The contribution of MSMEs is not only felt in the absorption of labor and income of the local community, but also supports the tourism sector through souvenir products and services related to tourist destinations such as Bantimurung Tourism Park and Rammang-rammang Kart Area to support more sustainable growth, access to business legality and ease in the licensing process are crucial factors that need to be considered. Data collection for this study was carried out from December 1, 2025 to December 24, 2025. Respondents in this study were collected from MSME actors in Maros Regency and have obtained permits at the Maros Investment and One-Stop Service Office which was obtained by 40 respondents. Primary data from this study was obtained from research instruments in the form of answers from questionnaires that were distributed online by using google forms to 40 respondents at Maros Link which was distributed containing 9 questions and for each question item there were 4 alternative answers that had been provided
Abstract:This study aims to explore auditors' experiences in digital auditing practices, the meaning of professional ethics, and ethical dilemmas in the context of digital disruption using a phenomenological approach. The study was…
as conducted at a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) in Surabaya, with auditors who had experience in technology-based audits as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using a phenomenological approach supported by NVivo software. The results show that digital auditing practices are still dominated by the use of simple technologies such as Microsoft Excel for data processing, analysis, and audit documentation. Although technology increases efficiency, auditors still do not fully rely on the system and still use professional judgment to maintain the reliability of audit results. Professional ethics is understood as a primary foundation that remains valid, but is reinterpreted in the digital context, particularly related to efficiency pressures and technological risks. Ethical dilemmas arise due to time constraints, incomplete data, and client demands, so auditors tend to prioritize the sufficiency of evidence and prudence in decision-making. Overall, this study concludes that digital disruption does not change the fundamental values of auditors' professional ethics, but rather reconstructs their meaning through work experiences and professional interactions.
Abstract:This study is motivated by the rapid development of digital financial services, particularly Shopee PayLater, which has the potential to increase consumerist behaviour among students. This phenomenon requires examination…
not only from economic and psychological perspectives, but also from the perspective of Islamic accounting, which emphasises balance and control over consumption. This study aims to analyse the influence of lifestyle and self-control on the consumer behaviour of Shopee PayLater users and to test the role of Islamic accounting principles as a moderating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to students and analysed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS application version 4.1.1.6. The results indicate that lifestyle has a positive and significant influence on consumer behaviour, whilst self-control does not have a significant influence. Sharia accounting principles have a direct and significant influence on consumptive behaviour, but are unable to moderate the relationship between lifestyle or self-control and consumptive behaviour. These findings suggest that consumer behaviour is influenced more by external factors such as lifestyle and the convenience of digital services than by internal factors within the individual, and indicate that Sharia values have not yet been fully integrated into everyday life.
Abstract:This study aims to analyze the effect of increasing servicescape and modernization of Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) services on the purchase decision of Pertamax Series products with perceived value as a mediating variable.…
ariable. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach combined with bibliometric analysis to identify, map, and synthesize relevant research developments related to the quality of the service environment, modernization of fuel retail services, perceived value by consumers, and purchasing decisions. Research data was obtained from various reputable scientific articles indexed in academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar with a range of publications of the last ten years. The literature selection process is carried out systematically through the stages of identification, screening, feasibility, and inclusion using the PRISMA guidelines. Bibliometric analysis is used to map research trends, author collaboration, and keyword linkages analyzed using VOSviewer software. The results of the study show that increasing servicescape such as facility comfort, cleanliness, physical design, and the availability of supporting facilities is able to increase consumer perception of gas station services. In addition, service modernization through payment digitalization, self-service systems, and technology-based service innovations also strengthen customer experience. The combination of these two factors has been proven to increase perceived value which ultimately encourages consumers to make a decision to purchase Pertamax Series products. The findings of this study make a conceptual contribution to the development of a study of consumer behavior in the energy retail sector and provide practical implications for petrol station managers in designing strategies to improve service quality and modernize facilities to increase consumer preference for high-quality fuels.
Abstract:This study aims to systematically analyze the influence of ease of use and product safety on sales increase with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach combined…
d with bibliometric analysis. The research method uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with SLR techniques to identify, select, and analyze relevant scientific articles from various academic databases in a given publication period. The literature selection process is carried out through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion so that a number of articles that meet the inclusion criteria are obtained. Bibliometric analysis is used to map research trends, author collaborations, and developments on topics related to ease of use, product safety, customer satisfaction, and sales improvement. The results of the study show that the ease of use of products or services contributes significantly to the perception of value and customer comfort in using the product, which ultimately increases the level of satisfaction. In addition, product safety is also an important factor that affects customer trust so as to strengthen consumer satisfaction and loyalty. Customer satisfaction has been shown to play a role as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between ease of use and product safety to increased sales. The findings of this study confirm that companies need to optimize aspects of ease of use and product safety as a strategy to increase customer satisfaction and encourage sustainable sales growth. This study also makes theoretical and practical contributions in the development of marketing literature and consumer management, especially related to the integration of SLR approaches and bibliometric analysis in understanding the dynamics of factors that influence sales increases.

s of the digital era. The research method used was qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires of 30 respondents. The results of the study show that MK Entrepreneurship makes a significant contribution (90%) in increasing self-efficacy and student courage in taking business risks. In the context of interest, as many as 83% of respondents stated that they were interested in building a digital-based business, especially through social commerce platforms and digital resellers. However, the main obstacles found are limited financial capital and the need for technical assistance related to advanced digital marketing. In conclusion, entrepreneurship education at STIMI YAPMI Makassar has succeeded in building a strong character foundation, but it is necessary to strengthen the business incubation aspect so that students' interests can be realized into sustainable business units.
Abstract:Patient satisfaction is a key indicator of health service quality and is closely related to loyalty, intention to repeat visit, and institutional reputation 1. Waiting time reflects the efficiency of the process and the…
responsiveness of services at the stages of registration, administration, and consultation which have a direct impact on the perception of quality and satisfaction 2. Literature review shows a consistent pattern: long wait times decrease satisfaction, while short, predictable wait times increase satisfaction, especially in outpatient services that have higher expectations of timeliness 3. Waiting longer than 60 minutes is associated with a significant decrease in satisfaction scores, making the management of wait time duration and variability crucial. Determining factors include queue design, health worker capacity, administrative complexity, and timeliness of doctors; Meanwhile, digital solutions (e.g. Mobile JKN) speed up the pre-visit and visit process and related to a 5.6 reduction in waiting time. This review summarizes the findings of 2015–2024, maps the determinants and mechanisms of the relationship between wait time and satisfaction, and offers managerial strategies for healthcare facilities in Indonesia and internationally 7
