The Relationship Between Work Culture And Employee Performance: Mediation Of Job Satisfaction And Moderation Of Leadership In Bank BJB Syariah

Handayani, Tri Utami, Mukhsin, Moh.
Abstract: This study examines work culture, job satisfaction (mediator), and leadership (moderator) as predictors of employee performance at PT Bank BJB Syariah Serang Branch, where average KPI achievement stood at only 90.5% in 2024.… 024. A census survey of all 190 employees was analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS.The results show: (1) work culture is positively associated with employee performance (β = 0.512, p < .001); (2) work culture is positively associated with job satisfaction (β = 0.991, p < .001); (3) job satisfaction is positively associated with employee performance (β = 0.160, p < .001); (4) job satisfaction partially mediates the work culture–performance relationship (β = 0.159, p < .001); and (5) leadership significantly moderates the work culture–performance relationship with a buffering effect (p < .001). This study extends JD-R Theory to faith-based organizations by demonstrating that Islamic values reshape job resources: work culture becomes a dominant predictor of satisfaction, and leadership operates as a buffering moderator through substitution mechanisms. These findings highlight the strategic importance of strengthening Islamic work culture, effective leadership, and job satisfaction as key predictors of employee performance in Islamic banking.

Linking Digital Literacy to Workforce Development and Macroeconomic Growth

Aswar, Nurul Fadilah
Abstract: This study examines the linkage between digital literacy, workforce development, and macroeconomic growth in the context of an increasingly digitalized economy. Moving beyond descriptive approaches, it investigates how digital… igital competencies function as a critical mechanism shaping labor productivity, innovation capacity, and economic performance. Using cross-sectoral data and workforce survey evidence, the study analyzes the extent to which digital skills contribute to workforce adaptability and organizational efficiency. The findings reveal that higher levels of digital literacy significantly enhance workforce development by improving skill alignment, fostering innovation, and increasing competitiveness across industries. At the macro level, these improvements translate into measurable contributions to economic growth through productivity gains and structural transformation. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration among educational institutions, industry, and government in designing integrated digital literacy programs. Such coordinated efforts are essential to ensure sustainable skill development and long-term economic resilience. This research contributes to the literature by providing an integrated perspective that explicitly links digital literacy to both workforce development and macroeconomic outcomes, offering practical implications for policymakers and stakeholders in shaping inclusive and sustainable growth strategies.

Service Quality as The Critical Dimension of Learning Management System Quality in Education Service Provider: Evidence From Indonesia

Ayuningtyas, Dwi Putri Ayuningtyas, Mulyono, Nur Budi Mulyono
Abstract: The issue of digitalization of education has led to the increased dependency on Information Systems (IS), especially Learning Management Systems (LMS), to provide continuity of learning after the COVID-19 pandemic situation.… ion. At Edulab, as a large learning service provider in Indonesia, LMS works as a central of learning provision, evaluation, communication, and academic tracking. Despite the strategic role, there are still frequent problems like unreliable access, incomplete evaluation, flawed data, and deteriorated performance when the system is at its peak usage, and it interferes with the learning processes and lowers the level of user confidence. This paper discusses the effect of LMS quality on service delivery, satisfaction among users and effectiveness of the entire platform at the institution. It is being analyzed in terms of the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model, which is being supplemented by the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. The mixed method was used, which integrated a survey of 1,081 users of the LMS who were estimated through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and a semi-structured interview with key stakeholders of the management. The results suggest that system, information, and service quality are very powerful predictors of user satisfaction with service quality coming out as the most significant factor in LMS effectiveness in service-oriented institutions of learning.

The Effect Of Trust And Commitment On Customer Loyalty Of Bprs Botani Bina Rahmah With Customer Satisfaction As a Mediation Variable

Faizin, Ayi Hilman, Yuniningsih, Anwar, Muhadjir
Abstract: This research is motivated by the importance of building and maintaining customer loyalty at the Botani Bina Rahmah Sharia Rural Financing Bank (BPRS), a financial institution that plays a strategic role in strengthening… the sharia-based economy and promoting financial inclusion at the micro level. The phenomenon of increasing account openings without a corresponding increase in customer retention indicates challenges in managing long-term relationships with customers. Trust and commitment are believed to be important factors in creating loyalty, but the effectiveness of both is often influenced by the level of customer satisfaction. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze satisfaction as a mediating variable in the relationship between trust and commitment and customer loyalty. This study aims to analyze: (1) the effect of trust on customer loyalty, (2) the effect of commitment on customer loyalty, (3) the effect of trust on loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable, and (4) the effect of commitment on loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The research approach used is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected by distributing Likert-scale questionnaires to 100 active customer respondents of BPRS Botani Bina Rahmah. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software to test the validity and reliability of constructs and the relationships between variables in the structural model. The results of the study indicate that trust has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, while commitment does not have a significant direct effect on loyalty. Customer satisfaction is proven to act as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between trust and loyalty, as well as between commitment and loyalty. These findings confirm that BPRS customer loyalty is more influenced by the level of trust and satisfaction built through service quality and conformity to Sharia values. Practically, BPRS management needs to strengthen contract transparency, improve service consistency, and optimize digital channels to strengthen trust, increase satisfaction, and ultimately encourage sustainable customer loyalty.

Murabahah Financing as an Engine oof Growth: Analysis of Contribution and Integrated Risk Management at BMT Alif Mandiri Makassar

Rostini
Abstract: The development of Islamic microfinance institutions requires the implementation of financing schemes that are not only compliant with Sharia principles but also capable of maintaining financing quality and sustainability.… y. One of the most widely applied contracts is murabahah financing, particularly in supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to analyze the implementation of murabahah financing and the risk mitigation strategies applied at BMT Alif Mandiri Makassar. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with management and financing officers, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that murabahah financing at BMT Alif Mandiri Makassar is implemented regularly through several stages, including application submission, feasibility analysis, financing approval, contract realization, and post-disbursement monitoring. The financing analysis emphasizes repayment capacity, members' character, and the suitability of financed goods for productive business needs. Risk mitigation strategies are conducted through careful customer character assessment, direct business verification, proportional margin determination, the use of collateral as a financing safeguard, and continuous monitoring. This study concludes that productive murabahah financing supported by integrated risk management practices is an effective and sustainable financing instrument for the development of MSMEs within Islamic microfinance institutions

Understanding Accounting Practices in Culinary MSMEs In The Tanjung Bunga Metro Area, Makassar City

Saleh, Andi Mulia, Alimuddin, Said, Darwis
Abstract: The focus of research shifts from the dominance of positivism to a non-positivistic approach that places meaning, interpretation, and social construction at the center of analysis. One of the main approaches within this… paradigm is Grounded Theory Research (GTR), a qualitative method developed by Glaser and Strauss (1967) to build empirically data-based theory through a rigorous inductive process. In the accounting context, GTR becomes increasingly relevant because reporting practices, accountability, and financial decision-making cannot be understood solely through objective measurements, but rather through social interactions, organizational values, and the interpretations of the actors involved (Ahrens & Chapman, 2006). This article aims to examine the role and relevance of GTR in modern accounting research by highlighting its philosophical foundations, methodological procedures, and contributions to the development of practice-based accounting theory. Through a systematic literature review, it is found that GTR has the ability to uncover the social dynamics that shape accounting practices such as accountability, ethics, managerial control, and institutional legitimacy that have previously been overlooked by positivistic approaches (Charmaz, 2006; Bryant & Charmaz, 2007). GTR has also proven relevant in the context of changing reporting systems, accounting digitalization, and the integration of sustainability principles such as ESG, where meaning, professional identity, and interpretive processes are dominant elements (Adams & Larrinaga, 2019). The study's findings confirm that GTR not only offers a systematic method for data collection and analysis, but also provides a more reflective, context-sensitive epistemological framework capable of generating substantive theory that is truly rooted in organizational reality. Thus, GTR is a powerful methodological alternative in enriching accounting knowledge, while providing a deeper understanding of how accounting practices are executed, negotiated, and interpreted in everyday organizational life.

The Effect of Working Capital Management on The Growth of Savings and Loan Business in The Osseda Faolala Women's Consumer Cooperative Nias

Abstract: This study analyzes the financial condition of the Osseda Faolala Perempuan Nias Consumer Cooperative during the period January 2021–December 2024, focusing on the management of current assets, short-term liabilities, and… and the repayment rate of member loans. Data were processed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression to assess the cooperative's financial balance and factors influencing business growth. The classical assumption test showed that the regression model met the feasibility criteria, both in terms of normality and autocorrelation, thus the analysis results were reliable. The t-test results proved that working capital had a positive and significant effect on cooperative business growth with a significance value <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.887) confirmed that 88.7% of the variation in business growth was explained by working capital management. This means that the more optimal the management of working capital—including current assets, short-term liabilities, and member loans—the higher the cooperative's chances of growth and development. In addition to strengthening the existing literature, this study is consistent with the findings of Winata et al. (2023) on manufacturing companies and Herawati (2023) on savings and loan cooperatives, both demonstrated the importance of working capital management to financial performance. However, these results differ from the research of Rezki Erdian et al. (2022) on the retail sector, which found that receivables had no significant effect on profitability. This difference indicates that the relevance of working capital is highly dependent on the institutional context. Overall, this study confirms that optimal working capital management is not merely an administrative issue, but a strategic factor determining cooperative business growth and improving welfare. member.

The Influence of Competence, Reward System, and Training on the Performance of BPRS Executive Officers with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable

Kartiko, Cahyo, Yuniningsih, Purwanto, Sugeng
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effects of competence, reward systems, and training on the performance of executive officers in Sharia Rural Banks (BPRS), with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The primary focus… s is to assess the extent to which these factors influence executive performance within the context of Islamic microfinance institutions. Employing a quantitative, explanatory design, primary data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using structural equation modeling–partial least squares (SEM–PLS) with SmartPLS. The study population consists of executive officers of BPRS in Indonesia. Using purposive sampling, 121 responses were obtained from multiple BPRS across several regions. The results show that (1) competence has a positive effect on performance; (2) job satisfaction positively affects performance; (3) the reward system influences performance primarily through job satisfaction (partial/competitive mediation), while its direct effect on performance tends to be negative; and (4) training does not exhibit a significant effect on performance, and its indirect path via job satisfaction is not significant. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening competence and redesigning reward systems in alignment with executive expectations to enhance job satisfaction and performance.

Implications of Digitalization on Governance at Islamic People's Bank

Yulianti, Neneng Ina, Yuhertiana, Indrawati, Sundari , Siti
Abstract: Digital transformation at Islamic Rural Banks demands governance that is accountable, secure, and aligned with sharia principles. This study aims to map digital governance practices and formulate prerequisites for safe,… compliant, and value-oriented implementation. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach and adopting an active participatory method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, document reviews, and observations with purposive sampling (management, DPS, IT/cybersecurity units, and customers). The analysis refers to the Miles & Huberman model (data reduction–data presentation–conclusion drawing); validity is maintained through source triangulation, member checking, and audit trails. The findings consolidate five key domains: (1) the role of DPS in digital decisions and ongoing supervision, (2) human resource capabilities and risk culture, (3) IT & cybersecurity architecture (data protection, incident response, business continuity), (4) risk management–compliance (synchronization of OJK–DSN–MUI guidelines), and (5) digital customer literacy and experience. The theoretical contribution integrates the Institutional, Accountability, and TAM/UTAUT perspectives to explain the drivers and barriers to adoption. Practically, a risk-based digital governance roadmap is developed that prioritizes cybersecurity governance, strengthening the role of the DPS through digital oversight, and data governance policies.
