The Effect of Using Wordwall Application on 11th Graders' Speaking Skill at SMAN 1 Ciruas

Ghina Fadhila, Syafrizal, Eri Rahmawati
Abstract: This research was undertaken to analyze the influence of the Wordwall application on the speaking skills of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Ciruas. Consequently, Wordwalluantitative methodology and a quasi-experimental… design involving 82 participants, organized into two equally sized groups, namely the experimental and control groups. Data collection was conducted through speaking assessments administered prior to and following the treatment. The findings showed that students who received the treatment achieved better improvement in speaking skills than those in the control group. The average score achieved by the experimental group increased from 63.90 to 83.12, whereas the control group’s mean score rose from 66.15 to 74.34. The hypothesis test results revealed a significance value below 0.05 (p < 0.001), providing evidence of a statistically significant difference between the groups. The results point to the fact that the Wordwall application was effective in enhancing students’ speaking skills.. Consequently, Wordwall can be considered an effective technology-based learning tool for promoting speaking skill development in English language learning.

Integration of Neuroscience Principles in Science Learning Media: A PICO-Based Systematic Literature Review

Winarni, Susi, Supena, Asep
Abstract: Science education at the elementary school level plays a crucial role in fostering scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills from an early age. Nevertheless, science instruction in elementary schools often… en remains teacher-centered, verbalistic, and insufficient in promoting meaningful scientific literacy. In response to these challenges, neuroscience provides a theoretical and empirical foundation for designing learning media that align with how the brain processes, stores, and retrieves information. This study aims to systematically examine the integration of neuroscience principles into science learning media and their effects on elementary students' scientific literacy. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). Relevant peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2024 were retrieved from Scopus, Google Scholar, ERIC, and DOAJ databases. The review followed four stages: identification, selection, quality appraisal, and thematic synthesis. The results indicate that neuroscience-based interventions—such as Augmented Reality (AR), Brain-Based Learning (BBL), interactive multimedia, and multisensory instructional strategies—consistently improve students' motivation, attention, conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and scientific literacy compared to conventional instructional approaches. The novelty of this study lies in its systematic synthesis of neuroscience-based science learning media through a PICO-oriented framework, highlighting the interaction between cognitive, affective, and technological dimensions of learning. The findings provide important implications for science education, particularly in guiding the development of neuroscience-informed learning media and instructional designs to enhance scientific literacy in elementary schools.

TAM’s Influence on Behavioral Intention to Use M-Din Mobile Banking Usage in West Java

Erick Ermawan, Ronny Samsul Bahri
Abstract: This study examines the influence of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), focusing on Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU), on users’ Behavioral Intention (BI) to adopt and continue using M-Din, a… a Sharia-based mobile banking application at Bank Muamalat in West Java. Employing a quantitative survey of 100 active M-Din users, data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that PEOU significantly affects PU, and both PEOU and PU significantly influence BI; additionally, PU partially mediates the effect of PEOU on BI. This research contributes to the digital banking literature by reaffirming TAM constructs within an Islamic finance context and offers practical recommendations for optimizing Sharia-compliant mobile banking strategies. Implications for enhancing user interface design and promoting key features to boost adoption are discussed.

The Role of Fiscal Decentralization in Enhancing Regional Financial Independence in Indonesia

Tuti Dharmawati, Wa Ode Muhardiana, Wa Ode Aprisilia Z.A
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of fiscal decentralization in enhancing regional financial independence in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach and literature review methodology, the research examines the role of… fiscal decentralization in promoting regional financial autonomy in Indonesia. The analysis compares the effectiveness of fiscal decentralization policies in fostering financial independence across various regions in the country. Fiscal decentralization has demonstrated positive impacts by granting regions greater freedom to determine development priorities and explore funding sources. Regions with strong economic potential and natural resources can increase their locally generated revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah or PAD) to support development. However, this policy also creates disparities among regions, where wealthier regions manage their finances independently while poorer regions remain reliant on central government transfers. Moreover, limited managerial capacity in some regions hampers the policy's effectiveness. Fiscal decentralization can strengthen regional financial independence if accompanied by enhanced financial management capacity and fiscal policy adjustments.

Language Learning Through Online Collaborative Learning in SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta and SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta: A Qualitative Case Study

Astrini, Atik, Agus Wijayanto, Malikatul Laila
Abstract: Language learning through online collaborative learning is a complex process because it requires thoughtful and pedagogical considerations in its design, implementation, and evaluation. To understand language in online collaborative… ollaborative learning, it is very important to include stakeholders' perspectives on their lived experiences. A qualitative case study was chosen to conduct this research. SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta and SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta were intentionally included in the study. The data were collected from semi-structured interviews of students and teachers and online and offline observations. The collected data were analyzed using the method of constant comparative analysis. The results clarified that several proactive supports (social, pedagogical and technical support) play a crucial role in promoting meaningful collaboration. The presence of the teacher is an important factor that create the collaboration to proceed as desired setting the stage, modeling the desired expectations and guiding the students to achieve the expected results. The assignments and assessments also affect the level of student engagement; therefore, it is recommended to include both formative and summative assessments for both the product and the collaborative process. The findings of this study have implications for the scaffolding and specificity of language learning through online collaboration to support online educators.
