Modeling and Forecasting Inflation in Ethiopia Using Multivariate Time Series Analysis

Ali, Sedik
Abstract: Inflation is a fundamental measure of macroeconomic stability that negatively impacts the nation's economy and affects many other macroeconomic variables. Thus, in this study, the major objective was based on modeling and… d forecasting inflation in Ethiopia and its components using a VAR model. The analysis was based on annual data from 1992 to 2021, encompassing 30 years. The results indicated that all five series were non-stationary at the level but stationary after their first differencing at a 5% level of significance. Johansen's cointegration tests were conducted. The results indicated the presence of at least one co-integration relationship between the variables. The Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) was fitted to model short run and long run relationships among inflation and other macro-econometric series such as GDP growth, government expenditure, money supply, and imports, and the result indicated that the coefficient of error correction term is negative (-0.279), which indicated that the fitted VECM model continues to move toward long run equilibrium and converges. Granger causality tests were employed to explore potential causal relationships. Impulse response analysis and variance decomposition were used to determine the short-run interactions among the variables. Finally, using the fitted model, out-of-sample forecasts were produced, yielding forecasted plots and values for the endogenous variables. According to the forecasted inflation rates for the next five years, prices are projected to decrease by approximately 18.0% in 2022, 6.8% in 2023, and then increase by approximately 8.3% in 2024. Subsequently, prices are expected to decrease by approximately 2% in 2025 and 5% in 2026 over the specified time periods.

The Effect of Profitability and Capital Structure on Company Value

Siahaan, Trioksa, Fu Putra, Arveren
Abstract: This study examines the effect of profitability and capital structure on firm value. Profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE), reflects the company's ability to generate profits from its… ts operations. Capital structure, represented by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), indicates the proportion of debt and equity used to finance the company. The research sample consists of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression models. The results show that profitability and capital structure both have a positive and significant effect on firm value. Profitability contributes to increasing firm value by attracting investors and enhancing market confidence. Meanwhile, an optimal capital structure, particularly the prudent use of debt, can also increase firm value by lowering the cost of capital. The study suggests that management should focus on improving profitability and maintaining an optimal capital structure to maximize firm value

Abstract: The aim of the research is to determine the influence of Employee Performance and Service Quality on customer Satisfaction at PT Citra Buana Adi workshop in East Jakarta. The method used was quantitative, through collecting… ing questionnaire data on a sample of 35 respondents. From the results of the multiple linear regression test, there is a constant value of 4.170, a regression value for the employee performance variable of 0.260 and a regression value for the service quality variable of 0.288. This means that all independent variables have a direct influence on variable Y. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination show that there is an influence of 54.6%, meaning that Employee Performance and Service Quality have an influence of 54.6%. Meanwhile, the remaining 45.3% was influenced by other variables not included in this research. This proves that there is an influence of Employee Performance and Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction at PT Citra Buana Adi workshop in East Jakarta

The data used in this research are primary and secondary… data. The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that the factors that influence the production of salted anchovies in the variables of labor (X1) and capital (X2) simultaneously have a significant effect on the amount of salted anchovy production in Barru District, Sumpang Binangae Village, Barru Regency. The marketing channels for salted anchovies in Barru District, Sumpang Binangae Village, Barru Regency consist of 3 (three) marketing channel patterns, namely: salted anchovy processors-consumers; (2) salted anchovy processor-trader collector-consumer; (3) salted anchovy processors- collecting traders- retailers- consumers. The lowest marketing margin value is marketing channel I, namely IDR. 640/Kg while the highest marketing margin value in channel III is Rp. 8,640/Kg.

The Influence of Word of Mouth Marketing Regarding The Decision to Purchase Services From PT. JILC Pongtiku Branch in Makassar City

Budiman, Amin
Abstract: This research aims to determine the marketing influence of Word of Mouth Marketing on the decision to purchase services from PT. JILC Branch My Pongti in Makassar City. The population in this research is JILC students My… group is 252 people. The number of samples used was 71 people by using Slovin's sample theory. Data collection was carried out by using observation and questionnaire methods. Technical data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using statistics Product and Service Solution (SPSS) v.21. The multiple linear regression equation produces the equation Y = 5.451 + 0.697X1 + 0.052X2. Thus the results of this study found that The Word of Mouth variable has a positive and significant effect on decisions Consumer. The results of the correlation analysis of determination (R Square) were 0.487 or 48.7%. This shows that the percentage influence of the independent variable amounting to 48.7%. Meanwhile, the remaining 51.3% was influenced or explained by other variables not included in this research model. F count (32.327)> F table (3.128) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. So hypothesis that is accepted is H1 which means variable X (Organic WOM and Amplified WOM) simultaneously has a significant influence on variable Y (Consumer Decision). Meanwhile, the t test results explain the calculated t for variable X1 is (7.185) > t table (1.995) with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. So H0 is rejected and the accepted hypothesis is H2 which means variable Organic WOM partially has a significant influence on the variables Y (Consumer Decision). The results of the partial test for variable X2 explain that t count 0.0494 > 0.05. So H3 is rejected and the accepted hypothesis is H0 which means that the Amplified WOM variable partially has no influence significant to variable Y (Consumer Decision).
