Abstract:Climate change is increasingly recognized as a major driver of internal displacement, particularly in fragile states like Libya where environmental shocks intersect with political instability and weak governance. This study…
udy investigates how climate-induced internal displacement affects social cohesion in Libya’s coastal cities, focusing on Tripoli, Misrata, and Benghazi. Using a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations involving internally displaced persons (IDPs), host community members, and local stakeholders. Findings reveal that environmental factors such as drought and flooding have forced vulnerable populations to migrate from Libya’s interior regions to urban coastal centers. These displacements have strained public services, exacerbated competition for resources, and led to growing tensions between displaced populations and host communities. Social trust, mutual support, and access to services have all been undermined, while IDPs often face legal invisibility, psychological stress, and marginalization. Despite these challenges, the research identifies promising local initiatives that have fostered integration and rebuilt social ties, including joint livelihood programs and inclusive municipal governance efforts. However, these efforts remain fragmented and unsustainable without broader policy support. The study concludes that to prevent further erosion of social cohesion, Libya must adopt a national legal framework to recognize and protect climate-displaced persons, strengthen municipal capacities, and integrate displacement considerations into urban planning and climate adaptation strategies. This article contributes to emerging literature on climate migration and urban resilience by providing grounded, context-specific insights into how environmental displacement reshapes the social fabric in post-conflict settings.
Abstract:Performance is an achievement that can be achieved by an organization within a certain period of time. Regional financial performance or regional capacity is one measure that can be used to see the ability of a region to…
run the regional economy. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of regional original income and capital expenditure on regional financial performance, as well as to determine which variables have the most dominant influence on regional financial performance in districts/cities in Central Sulawesi province. The data processed is secondary data from the annual reports of districts/cities in Central Sulawesi province for 2019-2023 which were taken with total sampling. The method used in this study is the multiple linear regression analysis method using the SPSS 25 application. Abstract:This study seeks to examine poverty across the regencies and cities on Sumatra Island in 2023 by employing the K-Means Clustering approach. Poverty represents a complicated and multi-faceted societal challenge, shaped by…
various elements including educational attainment, joblessness, income per capita, and spending per capita. The information utilized in this analysis is sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics, specifically the proportions of impoverished individuals, average duration of education, rates of open unemployment, income per capita, and expenditure per capita. Findings reveal the establishment of three distinct clusters based on poverty attributes: Cluster 1 exhibiting a low poverty level, Cluster 2 displaying a moderate poverty level, and Cluster 3 indicating a high poverty level. Results from the One Way Anova test indicate notable differences in poverty traits across the clusters. It is anticipated that this research will aid the government in developing more suitable and effective strategies for tackling poverty in regions grappling with significant poverty challenges.
Abstract:The Marshall-Lerner Condition is a theory that a trade balance deficit can be eliminated through currency depreciation, if in the long term the absolute number of long-term export and import demand elasticities is greater…
r than one. Initially, exchange rate depreciation will have a negative impact on trade through two methods, namely changes in volume and changes in value. This study aims to test whether the Marshall-Lerner Condition fulfilled in Indonesia's bilateral trade balance with the five largest trading partners using the Ordinary Least Squares method and in the observation period 2010.1-2022.12. The results of the Marshall-Lerner Condition study that one of Indonesia's five largest trading partners, namely China, the Marshall-Lerner Condition is met. While for Indonesia's other four largest trading partners, namely Japan, the US, the European Union and Singapore, Indonesia's largest trading partners are uncertain whether they meet the Marshall-Lerner Condition or not.

he question of transitioning from a free subsidy system to a paid cashless system in public transportation by 2023. What kind of promotional strategy has Teman Bus employed to capture the public's attention to adaptation? Using content analysis with a qualitative approach, through the Instagram of @teman_bus, researchers aim to examine the promotional strategies employed in the content uploads by Teman Bus. The resulting findings are that @teman_bus takes advantage of renewal along with adapting to new pandemic habits, following a great content strategy which consists of credibility, shareable, useful or fun, interesting, relevant, different and on brand such as centralized content from ministry of transportation, regularly holding giveaways and the most prominent approach is its 'on brand' consistency using repetition and persistence for uploading the content, the repetitive nature of the predetermined content template serves as a persistent promotional strategy, effectively garnering attention, facilitating learning, and promoting a shift in people's habits towards using cashless methods with Teman Bus for public transportation.
Abstract:Central Sulawesi has been known as one of the disaster-prone areas, especially after the 2018 disaster which resulted in liquefaction, tsunamis and earthquakes occurring simultaneously. This large-scale natural disaster…
caused both physical and non-physical losses, until finally the government made every effort to ensure conditions returned to normal. The government's efforts to improve infrastructure and public facilities have been realized, including improving the economic sector and providing permanent housing for disaster survivors. However, on the other hand, post-disaster causes poverty and unemployment, especially in Palu City. Even though the open unemployment rate has currently decreased from 16,960 people (2020) to 15,302 people (2021), the number of poor people in the same year has increased to reach 28,600 people compared to 26,890 people in 2020. On this basis, the post-disaster recovery process must be carried out intensively, involving various stakeholders. The aim of this research is to find out what role stakeholders play during post-disaster recovery, especially in overcoming poverty and unemployment levels in the city of Palu. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews and documentation. Interviews were aimed at stakeholders or related agencies, including the Regional Poverty Alleviation Coordination Team (Tim Koordinasi Pengentasan Kemiskinan Daerah-TKPKD) for provinces and districts/cities throughout Central Sulawesi, P5TK for the Manpower and Transmigration Service, the Training Development Division for the Expansion of Placement and Productivity of Nakertrans Workers, as well as communities affected by the disaster. Documentation was carried out by obtaining data from journals, news and BPS reports for the city of Palu in figures for 2022. This research was carried out within one year and used quantitative descriptive methods.
Abstract:Garbage in Indonesia is a serious problem that has social, economic and cultural impacts. Waste management in almost all cities in Indonesia is experiencing problems, mainly due to the lack of Final Processing Sites (TPA).…
). As a result, people often throw garbage in rivers, ditches, rivers and the sea. With a population that is in the top 10 in the world, Indonesia's waste production reached 65 million tons in 2016. Garbage causes various problems in society, including natural disasters such as floods. The lack of public awareness in disposing of waste in the appropriate place, as well as the lack of selection and recycling of waste, has an impact on natural disasters and damaged environment. The government needs to learn from the experience of the disaster and take preventive steps. The responsibility for waste management lies not only with the community, but also with the local government. The government needs to regulate and inform the public about proper waste management, as well as provide facilities that assist in waste management. The scale of waste management is carried out through the collection, transfer, processing and transportation of waste to the TPA. With population growth and regional development, the amount of waste generated is increasing. To maintain environmental sustainability, it is necessary to limit and reduce waste generation. Waste can also be turned into a resource through recycling and reuse. Therefore, the government makes national policies and strategies as well as guidelines for local governments in managing household waste and the like. Manado City refers to Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2021 in waste management. However, the volume of waste in Manado City continues to increase along with the rapid population growth. Limited garbage collection vehicles have caused some waste to go unmanaged and accumulate in rivers, drainages and other places. Lack of trash bins, delays in transporting waste from TPS to TPA, and poor TPA management are also problems. Research shows that there are several violations in waste management in Manado, such as a lack of public awareness in disposing of waste, the minimum number of garbage collection fleets, and delays in waste transportation. Garbage is still scattered in various corners of the city, including the coast and rivers. TPA management is also not optimal, causing public health and hygiene to be disrupted. Public awareness to dispose of garbage at the specified time is still lacking. In order to overcome this problem, it is necessary to increase public awareness, improve waste collection facilities and fleets, and improve the effective management of landfills. With these steps, it is hoped that waste management in Indonesia, especially in Manado City, can reduce its negative impact and become more sustainable.

Study This using panel data (Pooled Data). combines Time Series and Cross Section data for 16 years that is start from 2005-2020. Variables used are inflation, GRDP, Total Population and HDI. Method analysis in study This use Fixed Effect Model (FEM), using E-views 10 as tool estimate. Regression results show that Inflation influential negative and no significant to the Open Unemployment Rate, GRDP has an effect negative and significant to the Open Unemployment Rate, Total Resident influential positive and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate and HDI negative and no significant to the Open Unemployment Rate. Then exists a connection between Inflation, GRDP, Total Population and HDI with an Open Unemployment Rate of 62.19%. the rest of 37.81% explained by variables others who don't enter into models.
Abstract:Problems threatening food security are reduced agricultural land and decreased production caused by climate change. In 2 years, the rice harvested area in Indonesia has decreased by around 6.33%. This research aims to know…
ow how food security is in Indonesia. The secondary data is then processed using the Microsoft Excel application and analyzed using Machine Learning in Rstudio. Several variables were examined, Population, Area of Harvested Land, Productivity of Rice Commodity, and Level of Disaster Risk. Based on the literature, a food security ratio is calculated to get the index that will explain the deficit or surplus of food availability. This research shows that the model has an accuracy rate of 93.4%. Strengthening the results given by the elbow method, the gap statistical method ensures that the optimal number of clusters recommended by machine learning is k2, so the next process is to group districts/cities into 2 (two) clusters.a model can be formed that can be used to predict the condition of food security fairly accurately (accuracy level 90%). Cities in Indonesia when clustered based on this research can optimally be divided into two clusters which show the deficit and surplus of food.
Abstract:The rapid growth of local cafes in medium-sized cities has shifted competition from product-based offerings to experience-based value creation. This study examines how service quality and store atmosphere influence customer…
mer loyalty through customer satisfaction at See You Cafe in Pinrang City. The study employed a quantitative associative-causal design involving 160 customers selected through purposive sampling, with criteria including customers aged at least 17 years and having visited See You Cafe at least twice. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measured on a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Store atmosphere also has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, indicating that physical and sensory elements of the cafe contribute to customers’ positive evaluations. However, store atmosphere does not significantly affect customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction also does not significantly affect loyalty and does not mediate the relationship between service quality and loyalty or between store atmosphere and loyalty. These findings suggest that customer loyalty at See You Cafe is shaped more directly by service quality than by satisfaction or store atmosphere. The study implies that cafe management should prioritize improving service reliability, particularly order-serving timeliness, while maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. In addition, loyalty-building strategies should go beyond customer satisfaction by strengthening service consistency, personalization, and long-term customer engagement
