Wawan Hermawan, Iifan Auchep Venkatanathan, Andi Sukandi
Abstract: Equivalency education is one of the nonformal education services that plays an important role in expanding educational access for individuals who are unable to complete formal education. The success of equivalency education… ion programs is determined not only by the availability of educational access but also by learners’ participation in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of educational access and learner participation through the equivalency education program at PKBM Minda Utama, Bandung City. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving PKBM managers, tutors, and learners. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that educational access was strengthened through flexible learning schedules, simplified administrative requirements, and continuous program socialization to the community. Learner participation was reflected in active engagement during learning activities, supported by communicative, contextual, and needs-based learning approaches. The success of the program was supported by managerial commitment, tutor competence, and increasing public awareness of the importance of education, while economic constraints, work demands, and limited facilities remained challenges. The study concludes that educational access and learner participation are interrelated dimensions that determine the success of equivalency education programs. Therefore, strengthening both dimensions should be viewed as an integrated effort to improve the effectiveness of equivalency education and support lifelong learning

RESILIENSI AKADEMIK SISWA PONDOK PESANTREN

Jalal, Novita Maulidya
Abstract: This study aims to examine the academic resilience of Islamic boarding school students through a library research approach by reviewing national and international literature related to personal, social, spiritual, and pedagogical… dagogical factors that shape students’ academic endurance. Findings indicate that academic resilience among santri develops through the interaction of self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, self-regulation skills, and social support from peers, teachers, and dormitory caregivers. The disciplined, communal, and religious environment of pesantren strengthens adaptive coping mechanisms, particularly in managing academic pressure, demanding study schedules, and religious obligations. International literature highlights that interpersonal support and religious culture enhance students’ psychological resilience and academic engagement. Moreover, spiritual routines such as prayer and scriptural study function as emotional regulation tools that promote mental stability. The review also reveals that pesantren’s intensive instructional methods foster long-term academic perseverance, although they may increase stress when not accompanied by adequate social support. Overall, this study underscores that academic resilience among santri is a product of the holistic ecology of Islamic boarding school education. Therefore, strengthening resilience requires integrated strategies that simultaneously develop psychological, social, and spiritual capacities.   Keywords : Academic Resilience, Islamic Boarding School,Students

PERBAIKAN MUTU BERKELANJUTAN (CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT) DAN STANDAR MUTU (QUALITY STANDART) DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Puspita, Kurnia Tri, Muallimin, Khoirul Anwar
Abstract: Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces complex challenges in maintaining relevance and quality amidst social change, technology, and demands for public accountability. Two main concepts in educational quality management—continuous… —continuous improvement and quality assurance—are often discussed separately, despite their fundamentally synergistic relationship. This study aims to conceptually examine the integration of continuous improvement and quality assurance in the context of PAI, addressing how both frameworks can be operationalized simultaneously to improve the quality of PAI delivery. Using a systematic literature review method through Google Scholar and Publish or Perish (PoP) for the 2019–2026 period, 25 relevant articles were analyzed from 80 initial findings. The results show that quality assurance functions as a holding system that establishes standards, while continuous improvement acts as a driving force encouraging innovation and adaptation. However, in PAI practice, tension exists between standard compliance (QA) and the need for dynamic change (CI). This article offers an integrative framework called the Adaptive Quality Cycle (AQC), combining the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle with Islamic principles such as muhasabah (self-evaluation), tahsin (continuous improvement), and itqan (professionalism). This integration is key for PAI institutions to not only meet minimum standards but also continuously develop dynamically without losing their Islamic identity.

TANTANGAN MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN TEKNIK MESIN DALAM MENJAGA KONSISTENSI DISIPLIN KEISLAMAN DAN PENDIDIKAN

Farrij Rizqi Fadhillah, Muhammad Wildan Firdaus, Raihan Musthofa Zahrani, Jenuri
Abstract: Mechanical Engineering Education (PTM) demands logical precision and mastery of high technology, creating an intensive academic burden for students. This condition often leads to an invisible dichotomy between "campus obligations"… ligations" and "religious obligations," where Muslim PTM students struggle to maintain consistency in Islamic discipline, such as five-times prayer and moral development. This research aims to explore the challenges faced by Mechanical Engineering Education (PTM) students in maintaining Islamic discipline amid high academic demands. The method used is a Literature Review with a critical approach, which collects and analyzes various literature to identify gaps in knowledge. The main findings reveal that the primary challenges include the decline of ethical values such as honesty due to the impact of social changes and technological advancements, the risk of weakened character caused by the influence of global secular culture, and the heavy curriculum burden that leads to mental and physical exhaustion as well as conflicts between academic schedules and religious obligations. Furthermore, students' excessive focus on achieving high GPA and technical skills often neglects moral development, compounded by the lack of integration of the ta’dib concept and insufficient support from social environments that can enforce discipline. Therefore, a holistic and integrated solution is necessary to make Islamic ethics the foundation of academic and professional behavior, balancing technical expertise and spiritual aspects so that PTM students can become competent individuals with strong Islamic character.

THE QURAN AND THE DOWRY-GIVING TRADITION: A RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE ANALYSIS

Munadir, Rahmat
Abstract: This study aims to reveal the relationship between the values contained in the Qur'an and the traditional practice of dowry (mahr) giving, viewed from both religious and cultural perspectives. Using a qualitative approach… h based on the textual analysis of Qur'anic verses and in-depth interviews with experts in religious studies and cultural anthropology, this research integrates the frameworks of maqasid al-sharia and cultural anthropology theory to analyze the historical and contemporary transformation of dowry practices. The study also explores the symbolic meaning of dowry, not merely as an obligation but as a form of recognition of women's dignity and rights within the family. Furthermore, it examines the socio-economic factors influencing the amount of dowry and how these factors affect social structures and gender relations within society. In addition, comparisons are made with dowry practices in various other cultures and religions, enabling a deeper understanding of both the unique and shared aspects of universal human values. This comprehensive analysis seeks to provide new insights and a concrete contribution to contemporary discussions on the role of religion in social and cultural life, as well as the challenges of integrating tradition with the needs of modern society. The findings indicate that the practice of dowry giving, as prescribed in the Qur'anic verses, possesses profound normative and strategic values in ensuring justice and social balance within the family structure. Every element of the dowry is not merely symbolic but also embodies meanings that reflect responsibility, respect, and commitment in married life. Over time, the understanding and implementation of this tradition have undergone significant changes, influenced by evolving social, economic, and cultural conditions. This highlights the importance of not only preserving the tradition but also adapting it to meet the demands of contemporary society.
